Guardian, Elementalist, Warrior, Ranger, Mesmer, Necromancer and thief. Last 2 are not leveled yet, I cant stand the thief and just started with the necro.

If I see some cool armor that I like, I’d make a character just so I have a character who can wear it. Same goes with the legendaries. I liked the Flameseeker Prophecies but didn’t have any toon who could wield a shield, so I made a Guardian.

Right now, I’ve got 5 toons. Might be making a 6th soon. Just waiting for the character slot discount to come by, and then I can make one to wear the Aetherblade light armor.

By weeks end I’ll be at 8-80’s, just a little left to go. Have all classes, all races, the three story factions and master crafter.

I have two level 80s, Ranger and Thief, and 3 lvl 25-50 alts.

I am not really alt guy, nor I have kittenloads of free time as you folks have, so 2 lvl 80 mains are enough for me.

pssst… Red, it’s really not that hard to level in this game compared to other mmo’s Yes, the first is a pain, but by the second or third you run in rare gear and at the right places, very fast levleing.

I have a lot of characters. I was going to list them all here, but I’m too lazy to write them all down. My mains are:

Sylvari Mesmer for dungeons
Sylvari Ranger for open world
Human Necro for farming and open world
Human Engineer for PvP/WvW
Norn Guardian, another dungeon main

The only characters I’ve yet to get to max level are thieves and eles (and I’m working on at least one of each).

My first character was a Necromancer Human and I made with her the 100% map and lv 36 FotM. Then I created a Guardian Human that currently became a “male” (i’m a girl) because I wanted a big human aggressive male char and norn didn’t fit the aesthetic I wanted. Then I have an Elementalist Sylvari that is super adorable, a Ranger Human with sword and warhorn that hits very bad, a Mesmer Asura superpink and Warrior Human I use mostly for Arah and other dungeons.
I don’t like very much norn and charr character, I think I’ll made Engineer Charr when I’ll be very bored >o<

Engineer is my most favoritist love, so 85% of my time is spent with her. But I clearly have an altoholic streak in me, so every other month I get itchy to try something new and spend time with another profession. I love creating characters.

I’ve deleted probably 10 characters, either lvl 1 placeholders or lvl 20s with models I didn’t like or professions I trashed to try another one. I plan on eventually buying 1 more slot for a thief to complete my set.

I got 42 characters in total.
7 of them are level 80.

Four months ago I apparently had 30. As of yesterday I have 38. Ten or eleven at 80.

11 total:
8 on 80 (one per job).
Two more Mesmers to park in difficult or long JPs because I love to port people that have problems there.
The last one is retired and parked at a chest atm since I exclusively play that char with a friend who is currently inactive.

I have 18. Four humans (warrior, guardian, ranger, mesmer), for norn (warrior, ranger, thief, mesmer), four sylvari (warrior, thief, ranger, elementalist), three asura (guardian, ranger, necromancer), and three charr (warrior, engineer, elementalist).

All but the human warrior and sylvari ranger are level 80.

9 level 80s.

I WvW with 8 of them regularly.. i can’t stand the Engineer.

I’ve given up on the idea of ascended armour – it would take me a literal lifetime to gear up my characters – it was implemented in a really poor manner imo.

I’m sure it’s no issue if you only have 1 character.

I have five. The fifth slot has been a revolving door for some time.

The four mainstays are 80s:
Asuran Engineer, Cheeze Toastie (first character ever created, rubbish at playing it but can never delete it. She even has her own song :/)
Sylvari Ranger, Penrhyndeudraeth (known as Penhydrant by my husband)
Sylvari Warrior, Talysarn
Sylvari Mesmer, Geirionydd (this one may be my main, certainly is this month).

The fifth slot is currently occupied by a Sylvari Elementalist, Elidir Fawr. He is not lvl 80.

Sylvari names are chosen by looking at a map of North Wales and hoping for the best. It usually means no one else has them.

I’ve previously had a lvl 80 Sylvari Thief and lvl 80 Human Elementalist, and myriad other lower level mistakes, but I deleted them to make new chars.
I have chucked odd bits of cash for gems for transmutes and hair changes, but have never wanted another character slot. If I end up enjoying the elementalist this time around, I may have to look into that!

I have 8.

One of each profession. I may make more, but I’m not done with these yet.

She is very airy and carefree and I went for a kind of wood nymph vibe with her- remains to see if i can pull it off since this is the class that gives me the most trouble- I just cannot find my groove.

my latest experiment in my revolving slot- tried guardian 3 times before so I will see how my take on a spell caster guardian pans out

5 that I play, 1 of each race (don’t see the point in more than that) and 5 “mules” I intended to play more toons, but then didn’t, so have 5 with the bags filled to rim with stuff I collected. 1 placeholder char holding a name in case tengu becomes playable. And 1 empty slot.

I broke down and bought another character slot (character #46) and told myself it would be my absolute last one. That was, of course, after I said I’d stop leveling alts when I got #18 to 80.

I’m at 21 level 80’s now. >.<

I’m finding at some point in every MMO that I play, that the game gets stale pretty quickly and I end up just rolling alts for “endgame”. GW2 is no different, although I do have a “main” (for WvW) now that ascended gear is in.

Is it wrong that I’m hoping for a new race or a new profession?

to add to all of this, ranger and thief got 100% map completion (may eventually do it on my ele too), all crafting disciplines leveled up to 400, weaponsmith and tailor up to 500.

I have 1 of each profession and across them have all races. But, out of those character I have 4 that I have maxed to 80 and play on a regular basis, they are:

Thief (human) – This is my main and the char I play 60-80% of the time.
Guardian (human) – My second most played character along with the next.
Engineer (asura) – Joint second most play character.
Necromancer (human, I like human characters if you hadn’t noticed) – Played regularly, but not as much as the others above.

I also play an Elementalist (level 31) and Mesmer (level 51) occasionally. My Warrior and Ranger do not see much action, but I may level them up at some point later.

Since others have montaged their characters, here are all mine (80 all of them).

Psi Knight Brindis, Guardian. Based on a character I played in RIFTS pen n paper RPG.
Manya Ivanova, Warrior. Based on a character I started on APB: Reloaded.
Solissa Starwood, Ranger. Started on GW2, has passed into offline Cyberpunk RPG.

Leveillei, Thief. Named after Anemone Leveillei, a type of plant.
Vittai, Warrior. Cutest Asura ever, Vittai name based on Vitality/Vitae. I think it fits.

I’m always tempted to have 8 human females, one human male and then one male and female of each race :P

Well, I’m up to 20 characters now…. with plans for 3 more. I think I might reign it in at that point though…

Until we get a new race.. then I’ll need 2 more slots. I think it’s pretty much certain that we will get a new race eventually.

I’m hoping that they don’t do any more professions. They already have balance issues with the core 8 (something carried over from GW1 it seems) and I would prefer they focus on just adjusting those, then focus on new skills and weapons and keeping those in balance. Just my 2c though.

Hahah got my 1st birthday gift from my 3rd chara yesterday, I if’d and ah’d about getting another chara slot. I held off.
