I just wanted to pipe in here and say that on Blackgate several Mesmers were offering portals to the end of the JP.
Now I normally don’t use them but I have attempted this puzzle multiple times; I won’t say how many because it proves I really am bad at JP’s. When the kind people shouted out in /map they were offering portals to the top; I couldn’t resist getting the JP and the sample at the same time. It feels kind of hollow for the JP part since I didn’t finally master it or get lucky, but I was happy. And extremely thankful.
I <3 portals & the kind people that did the work to offer them to us.

EDIT: Being a Norn at max height really really sux for JP’s. At least my Map Complete is 99% missing one Vista in EB.

Not a fan of JP’s …

I did the ones I had to do in order to reach vistas and the like for100% map completion. Over 8 months of playing, managed to do 7 or 8.

I decided to do more JP’s for both the May monthly and for the achievement points. Now have 24 completed, which is huge for me. Problem now is I have done all the easy and a few medium ones. The rest are all hard ..

The one I liked the most is in Fireheart Rise at the mine, where you jump from ore buckets over water, with a vet flame legion shaman at the end. That was the only one I would call ‘fun’.

The rest are just lesser or greater exercises in frustration and battles with camera angles. Not fun by any stretch …

Just want to say, I will be glad to portal people to the end of this JP whenever I am on and available. I have spend a long time and many tries in this JP myself, before I finally managed to finish it and completely understand the frustration of people having difficulties.

I spent over an hour yesterday portaling people through and will do so again today – I like helping Especially after having been frustrated so many times myself XD I’m on Tarnished Coast, my main is Ciunas, so if you do need help, look out for me

To everyone saying “Just frecking do it!”…not everyone can. Just accept that. And stop judging someone based on the fact that YOU manage to do the JP. Thanks.

Saw 20-30 people trying to do it, did it first try out of sheer luck lol Then forgot to get that 11th sample

I do this jumping puzzle at least once per week. Was it hard at first yes, but after you know where to jump and how to position your body in the air for the next one you are fine. I did it the first time I tried yesterday. Not a big fan of portals in this game in general. I wish they would have made three Keys scattered throughout the puzzle that you had to collect to unlock the box for the last sample but I guess people would just rage that it was to hard seeing how they already are.

For those of you that want to do it the legit way watch the video first and figure out what you need to do then go at it. What I failed at when I was learning this puzzle was sometimes you need to run to the end of the stone platform before you jump or you will not make it to the next one in some cases.

When I’m in Southsun, I useally see Mesmers asking if anyone needs to get portalled up to get the sample.
If this is not the case, I’ll give you some tips:
-Be calm and patient, you don’t need to end first, you need that sample. Especially after the stone jumping part this is important, you have done the hardest part, don’t ruin it for yourself!
-There are small platforms where you need to jump on in the stones part, wait here to prepare yourself for the next part. Not ready, don’t jump!

Took me 2 hours last night to get it done but got there in the end. A lot of anguish was vented in guild chat but thank the 7 gods of Jupiter i did it.
After it was done a nice mesmer turned up and stayed there ages porting everyone up so that was a nice touch.
Yes it was a pain but the sheer relief of doing it was great
