It just needs to be nerfed just like golem-in-a-box was. Not to compare, but WoW had an offensive consumable cooldown.

After using one weaponized consumable, they should all go on cooldown for 30 seconds. It keeps them useful and interesting while keeping them fair. No more stunlock.

Also reflect spiky fruit, post to youtube, profit.
