Stealth Performance Fix?
Are you using an AMD or an Intel chip?

AMD
I thought my game loaded a bit faster than normal but I just thought I was imagining it. ….still do.
Heh, well, I am judging by in-game framerate – usually, mid-fighting (haven’t done any boss events yet) at LOWEST settings, I’m lucky to hold 20 FPS.
After I noticed this, I cranked everything to max quality and am still in the 40’s.
The proof is in the Jormag, though…
Not for me ,still playing at lowest settings 10-20 fps… But I’m planning to buy a GPU soon.
Congratz tho, u ain’t got no lagg anymore.
Claw of Jormag was the same – 8fps in phase 2 – urgh.
I haven’t done much since the patch hit, but it seemed about the same for me – also AMD.
Sure it wasn’t something else? Driver update or such?
For the toast!

Nope – thought of that. Zypper logs show no updates yesterday or the night before. I’m just gonna go with “magic”.
I haven’t noticed any difference, although if I tried to run in supersample before my GPU would get too hot for comfort (overclocked of course), and I prefer it running supersampled over native because it not only looks better but bizarrely improves performance. I can hold a steady 63c now with supersample, which is perfectly passable, but I last tried it two GPU drivers ago so it may have nothing to do with the patch.
edit: and yes I realize the OP was talking about CPU perf. Intel does benefit from great single core processing thanks to hyperthreading, although the new AMD Kaveri architecture is a vast improvement over its FM2 predecessors, and the new Phenoms are quite excellent as well.

You should stop playing on toasters then.
Seriously, this game is heavily low-end optimised. If you have trouble with the framerate, I would suggest to buy something worth calling CPU first.

Thank you for your misdirected condescending reply – perhaps when insulting someone, you should pick the right someone?
I haven’t noticed much a difference. AMD CPU here.
I don’t know, I found a 20fps performance increase earlier today updating from 335.23 to 337.88 NVidia drivers, I am guessing that was the cause of the performance increase.

If you feel insulted … I’m sorry. You should still consider buying a new CPU if you’re playing more often.

After playing a bit more the last few days, I could swear up and down that I do notice faster load times in general, especially in cities.
While actually playing and participating in open world stuff, it’s a framerate crawl just as usual for me. Seems just as it was before.
Guess my ‘toaster’ isn’t up to par either!
For the toast!

Lol, it’s very poorly optimized and uses too much CPU, even low-end GPU do not get used well.
On NVIDIA i found a great improvement also.
I played tequatl max setting with a smooth framerate.
To tell the truth was 1 month i didnt attempt one, but was surely extremely smoother than before.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
