Guild Wars 2

Im tired of those story content showing on the upper right side of screen, saddly “hide Events and Personal Story” is useless, they just keep staying there!!. I dont know if its just me but i really really dont want to do ALL story (personal + S2) with ALL of my toons, im ok with just personal story (till Zhaitans dead) but please make s2 account bound or something to stop showing them in the window screen.
If anyone know how to get ride of them please share..

Have you tried cancelling the current episode in your journal? I think if you cancel whatever episode that character is on, it should remove the text in the top right.

Edit: Of course, most players’ journals are broken right now, so I can’t test it.

Unfortunately, that does not work. I agree with the OP. I have 20 characters ankitten ot really interested in doing the Living Story multiple times as it wasn’t that thrilling.

I think this has been brought up multiple times but nothing has been done (and likely won’t be done) about it.

But, but, if new players accidently turned them off they wouldn’t know how to get them back. Think about the new players! Your screen space is a sacrifice you should make to help those struggling.

Always cater to the lowest common denominator… as those would be the first to sue, and probably win.

I have 2 characters that have completed the personal story, but not all of LS2. On both, I have tried to “Quit this episode,” which does no good at all. Both of these characters finished the PS before LS2 came out. I have another character with whom I have finished all of LS2, and only recently finished the last episode of the PS. This one character has nothing on the screen for the story marker, and I don’t even want to attempt to “continue” a LS chapter for fear that it may come back. Please let us quit the story completely to remove the UI element that is the accursed green star. We can always “Continue this chapter” later.

It probably is a result of newer/less-experienced players getting confused should they ‘accidentally’ quit the episode. I don’t feel it is overly complex but hey, apparently a lot of people need to be spoon fed here!

Hoping that somewhere down the line we’re able to remove the green quest icons for the Living Story if we have no desire to do it on alternate characters. Especially for those that play on small screens as the text probably takes up a good chunk of the screen (even if they decide to collapse it).
