Hey post your ideas on what you want anet to add to next expansion so maybe they take some pointers from here.

What i want is :

- Ice Themed Guild Hall , with more activities guild members can do in there , with tp and crafting stations.
- Ele with 1h sword not buying your next expansion if this doesnt happen.
- The promised full set of legendary weapons for the curren expansion before the next one.
- Every random thing eventually promised in the next expansion delivered on day one not 2 years from then.

sorry. yeah, i think it’d be pretty cool to make some existing locations in tyria instanced for guild halls. there are some really cool locations/jumping puzzles in the game that would be really cool to have as a guild hall

More guildhall options would be nice. I’d like to see a bit of rework on the older halls as well. Like removing the static deco from the taverns so that we can place our own, along with other decorating obstructions in the zone.

That and I’d like a brilliant tool maker who could address some of the issues with placement of decorations. I love that the objects have collision, but it gets old having to waypoint out from under objects that your avatar got trapped under while trying to place something.
I would like to see a slider system for XYZ (YAW and Pitch would be nice also) and the avatar not be the pivot point unless the object is zeroed to the avatar. The wide looping pivot has made me appreciate gliding all the more after falling off a few ledges while trying to line something up.

Other than that Deco. Lots of deco and carpets.

Dungeons. I don’t even care if they only have 1 path and no armor/weapon sets, I just want more 5 person instanced content, especially if its used to add to the storyline specific to the expansion

Stuff I want in the next expac, from most to least important(To ME, of course):

- An amazing story with 50 hours worth of content, with hard personal choices and persistent consequences (The choices from the majority of players became the official world standard after 6 months).
- An authentic, dedicated developer for Engineer. (Aka, the new spec is not TBD during months, It get proper testing before the expac launch, the mechanic works and is useful in all modes, there is build diversity, etc)
- RP specific aid functions and tools, including “RP map preference checkbox” and Tons of New Emotes.
- Lore imbued, storyline coherent and properly animated/playable explanation for the Revenant timeline phenomena, the sudden development of gliding, and the concrete birth of every Elite Spec.
- Bigger (Visible!) weapons for Asura.
- Head and foot gear fixed to correctly match Asura and Charr anatomies.
- Fully reworked, gliding-allowing and megaserver fixed WvW.
- Voice customization for the playable character.
- Multiple medium armor sets without trenchcoats.
- Multiple light armor sets without buttcapes.
- Multiple heavy armor sets without skirts.
- 2 new weapon types: Chains and Boomerangs.
- New playable race: Steam Creatures, with a proper lore, PS line and coherent explanation.
- Improved aquatic combat and proper drowning. Breathers become relevant.
- How to dance vol 2 in the gemstore, and How to Legendarily Dance (with 15 new dances) obtainable through a long, hard and diverse quest.
- Futuristic-looking shotgun-shaped Rifle Legendary, with proper lore, story and treasure hunt.
- Raptor, Chak and Karka pets.
- New armor piece: Belts.
- Fun version of the final battle against Zaithan.
- Customizable Home Instance.

That’s all I need. Of course, needing and getting are way different things.

@OP, I would like it, if Mesmers could dual-wield pistols, much like Thieves and Engineers. There’s no point in wielding an off-hand pistol, without a main-hand one.

~Unending Ocean expansion.
~Sailing with wind/boat physics, cannons and more Pirate shenanigans.
~Fishing.
~Bubbles the Dragon.
~Tons of evil corrupted sea critters including Sharks and Octopus the size of Jormag.
~More types of Quaggans and Kraits in the Unending Ocean biome (like how Hylek got new species).
~Underwater Quaggan and Largos cities and lotsa random islands.
~Underwater combat redesigned for underwater versions of land weapon skills (all weapons usable underwater) and all utilities/elites/healing skills to have some form of underwater version.
~The current underwater exclusive weapons usable in both land and water.

-creepy places! we need more creepy places! the only one we have is Orr and miss regular stuff like graveyards, ghost towns, creepy forests, etc…
-a nice story with many chapters

This. Bugs are to be expected, but if they say “we’re looking forward to bring out our flying mounts system”, I don’t want to here excuses as to why it’s been delayed and will be showing up half a year after expansion launch. If they market it, it needs to be there. No more of this “we didn’t use the word ‘promise’” kitten.

Next expansion will be two dragons at once? Or will we wrap up Primordus somehow in Living World? Anyways if it’s two dragons at once, which is my guess, then…

  • I’m hoping they’ll have a fire themed and ice themed guild hall. They did release two for HoT, makes sense they’ll release another two for the next expansion.
  • They created 4 maps for HoT. Here’s to hoping 3 maps each for both Primordus and Jormag. So 6 altogether. But if we go by track record, then it’ll be 2 each, which I think feels too cramped imho.
  • A new class. Though between this or a new race. I would almost prefer a new race.The Tengu had once been considered as a player race, but unless they make the Tengu play a larger role in the story, I don’t see a reason they would appear. At least Revenants had Rytlock Brimstone.
  • One new elite spec for all existing classes! I can’t wait to see these personally.

-[PvP] more Stronghold PvP map(s)

-[WvW] updated WvW gameplay to integrate modern features used in PvE. For example, gliding should be possible in WvW since it’s such a well-liked mechanic. It could be unlocked in WvW similarly to other WvW skills (e.g. arrow cart mastery) so that it is unrelated to expansion-locked content. WvW maps could also use a graphical refresh to be visually comparable to modern content. Obviously, maps would need to be revised to accommodate gliding.

- [WvW] Significantly more masteries / skills to spend WvW leveling points on, as many people have unlocked everything. Alternatively, adjustment of points needed per level of each skill to have a more exponential scaling so that they take more points to unlock. E.g. currently Guard Killer costs 1, 3, 6, 10, and 15 points for levels 1-5 respectively. It could be changed to e.g. 1, 3, 10, 30, 100.

- [PvE] challenging solo PvE content (e.g. instanced areas or solo Fractals). For example, Fractals can be designed to scale in difficulty depending on the number of players from 1-5. Mechanics requiring multiple players would be modified or removed for 1 or 2 player versions. Of course, rewards would still be greater with more players to encourage group play.

-[All] of course, a new elite spec for each profession

-[All] significant balance updates to refresh unused (poor-performing) traits and skills in each profession. E.g. Guardian spirit weapons.

Would also like to see elite specs that provide true specializations for all classes into roles that they traditionally have not filled. Stuff like pure, selfish DPS for mesmer that takes no ramp up time. Make the new elite specs so that players don’t have to roll another class entirely to play a certain type of way (eg if they wanted a support and group heal based thief then eventually one of the thief specs should support something along these lines)

Being a statement I’m not going to dig up a video or watch a bunch of their Youtube posts to dig it up. What I will do is link an earlier statement in which they simply stated they’d hope to add it. Which eventually turned into it will eventually be added in a later statement. Eventually means it can happen at any time since their is no cap on time but this isn’t Duke Nukem forever and I have no attachments to any of these characters as you go from destinies edge characters to being the boss of these nobodies which does dampen the over all experience. So it’s not to much of a stretch to not want to go any further in the story until proper backstory is given and why these people follow you it’s something I’d like and probably many new people before the next expac.

Also I agree with your take on Elite Specs though I’d want an easier method to change the stats on ascended gear. A change like that would require a change of stats each time you specced into it which would demand legendary armor or an easier way for ascended to change stats since it would have to be done so often.

I would like to be a playable, Elonian Centuar, who WERE friendly, towards Humans. Alongside them, I would like NEW weapon types, such as whips, fit for Thieves, Mesmer, Warriors, Revenants, Necromancers, or ALL classes.

LWS1 was always intended to be time limited content, and to my knowledge it was never promised that it would return. All that was said was that some Devs wanted to make it return

-I want a real expansion made from start to end in one release.
I’m sick and tired of waiting 3 months to get 3 missions that only take 2 hours to complete because of tons of unskipable dialogue. (even though the last two LS episodes were good stowy-wise)

-I want fixed armour clippings on Norns and Charrs
Problems with those have been going for 4 years now.

-I want a separate legendary armours for PvE, PvP and WvW
So that people that do other stuff then pve would be able to get them as well intead of wasting time one content they don’t like

-I want more badas looking armours instead of outfits
Why there is no normal heavy helmet that was used by british chivalry ? (that bucket with holes) or scottish kilt would be awesome also ENOUGH with bloody trenchcoats
and duster-like medium armour all of them look exacly the same and there is almost no possibility to make normal looking toon

-I want engineer backpieces for kits back and option to turn them on and off
Who the hell came up with the idea of removing them in the first place ?! My flamethrower engi looks like a moron now with every backpiece that he can have instead because he is a Charr and in combat all those backpieces are placed on the back of his head…

-I want ability to sell Dark Matter
I don’t need this stuff right now but my friend does and all i can give him is a middle finger…

-I want no timers on raids
It only makes it harder for new people to be able to experience them without the need of buying them or being a burden for others and creates toxicity towards newbies in raids and cut the bs about “oh it’s the hardest content so it should have timers” blah blah blah – no, having timers is lamest thing to do to crank up difficulty and it doesn’t make content more “challenging” it makes it annoying especially if you want to take new people into it – outside of your little “fat club”.

-I want items from LS1 and 1st halloween to be avaible through laurels like molten backpack and those chainsaw swords. Stupidity is to have later items avaible for laurels but not those.

-I want more spear-like staffs so that revenats wont look stupid while fighting with sticks.

-I want ability to choose between radiant and hellfire skins from my AP rewards.

I can go on and on but this is enough for now.

An expansion based on underwater content only.
4 completely underwater maps, play at the bottom of the ocean.
New mastery lines that allow you to go deeper and deeper, follow the currents (like updrafts) and other such things
Fully revamped underwater combat
One elite spec for each profession that has ONLY underwater skills and traits
One new WvW map that is completely underwater

An expansion based on underwater content only.
4 completely underwater maps, play at the bottom of the ocean.
New mastery lines that allow you to go deeper and deeper, follow the currents (like updrafts) and other such things
Fully revamped underwater combat
One elite spec for each profession that has ONLY underwater skills and traits
One new WvW map that is completely underwater

For the love of god no. Underwater combat is bad enough, but do not limit elite specs to being only land or water based. That is a horrible idea

Underwater content. Even if it’s irrelevant to the story and just side exploration. Most Tyrian maps have some underwater nooks and crannies, but Dry Top, Silverwastes and all the jungle maps are devoid of any aquatic areas.

Talking about exploration: large open maps to explore that aren’t necessarily packed with psychotic monsters every square metre. The introduction of Southsun Cove started a horrible trend in that regards. I dearly miss the days of my first Tyrian map completion. There was plenty of peaceful exploring to be had.

First of all new set of elite specs, which is, ofc, already announced. Following Anet’s philosophy, official or not, that elites are much stronger that the core classes that will finally bring some more diversity to builds. Especially proper offensive elite for Ele… Gives us either sword or great sword (spear potentially…?plzplzplz:3) and let us feel like fighters that harnes elements and bring them to close quarters combat^^ (heavy breathing)

Second, i would like to have some challenging 1, 2 or 3 players content… Instanced semi-open world maps. Something of Dark Souls 3 sort… One waypoint at start and you have to wipe all your way to next one- if you failed, you start from the previous wp. Slowly progress through verious landscape caves/woods/abandoned old, creepy villages .. all the way to the final boss. GW2 has a great potential in delivering a mode like this due to it’s combat mechanics… lMake it tough, challanging and IMMERSIVE. Difficulty could scale according to players number..

- Build Templates.
- Gear Templates.
- Asuran, Charr, Norn and Sylvari decorations.
- Controller support.

Well im going to write this down only because Anet listen to its fanbase.

- 1vs1 Balance
- The option to duel other players in PVE maps
> Duel Arenas
> Outside of town
- Game changing Mastery mechanics
> Running on water
> Very high jumping abilities
> Mounts
> Flying
> etc
- A finished product
- New dungeons that offers lore for the area and its inhabitants
- New raids of course
> In castles, Towers, Flying landscapes, etc
- Full legendary armor/weapon sets
- New masteries
- New weapons types (not a full set, just a few here and there)
> Scythe, Great axe
- New weapons/armor sets
- New ranger pets
- New necromancer summoning skills
- Dynamic, OPEN WORLD final boss fights
- A polished product with minimal/no bugs
- Bigger maps so we dont feel like we are boxed up by mountains
- Connect small vanilla maps together so they dont look so small….its a big deal
- More dark/gloomy maps look Orr
- Maps with interesting environments like a desert hint hint
- Im sure we can all agree that we need MORE VARIETY OF SKINS! Heavy shouldnt always be bulky, medium shouldnt always be trench coats, and light should have more mystical clothes….or something.
- More back piece options
- Destroy LA again and re-do it entirely, its so childish looking….
- New elites
- A martial arts elite (AKA Brawler) PLEASE GOD!

Overall, I was happy with the content of HoT, but felt like a few things were missing:-

- Dungeons. I’d like two new four-path dungeons (one normal, one hard) with all the fixin’s (unique armour and weapons, etc)

- Fractals. I would expect fractal development to mirror what we saw with raids during the last year. Launch with 3 islands, add another 6 over the next few quarters. Add a fractal themed armour set as well.

- Armour sets. I’d also want to see another three full sets added somewhere – gem store or in-game, it doesn’t matter. So long as they are not locked behind ridiculous achievements or literal months of grinding.

- Build and gear templates. Instantly switch between trait and skill set ups, as well as armour and weapons.

Nerfed HoT specs.
Balanced professions.
Elites that make sense and don’t break the game.
No dumb gimmicks labeled as fresh content.

AKA not gonna happen.

I really couldn’t give a cat about any new content otherwise. I’d pay $60 a month for core GW2 with the QoL fixes.

The game itself is pathetically broken from HoT a full year after release. I genuinely don’t think it’ll last another expansion that doesn’t fix some major issues.

Next expansion will be two dragons at once? Or will we wrap up Primordus somehow in Living World? Anyways if it’s two dragons at once, which is my guess, then…

  • I’m hoping they’ll have a fire themed and ice themed guild hall. They did release two for HoT, makes sense they’ll release another two for the next expansion.
  • They created 4 maps for HoT. Here’s to hoping 3 maps each for both Primordus and Jormag. So 6 altogether. But if we go by track record, then it’ll be 2 each, which I think feels too cramped imho.
  • A new class. Though between this or a new race. I would almost prefer a new race.The Tengu had once been considered as a player race, but unless they make the Tengu play a larger role in the story, I don’t see a reason they would appear. At least Revenants had Rytlock Brimstone.
  • One new elite spec for all existing classes! I can’t wait to see these personally.

While fire vs ice would of course be cool, I don’t think we’ll be fighting primordus and jormag at the same time.

Instead, it will be primordus and kralkatorrik at the same time in the next expansion which will be in the crystal desert!
