Would it be possible for some of the swords that still look like swords, to not systematically have your local Kevin rushing in and adding spikes everywhere with his Crayolas when you are looking elsewhere ?

I did browse the whole gallery of great swords trying to find one that:
- had not a handle longer than the blade
- had not a blade the size of a whale
- had not spikes everywhere
- had not a guard bigger than the handle and the blade combined
- was not more dangerous for its weilder than for the opponent
- did look like a sword like, i mean… a sword

And when finally i find something remotely interesting for me it still has spikes…

So could it be possible for the grand guru shadock at Anet to consider doing weapons that dont systematically look like an xmass tree ? (ex: see attachment)

I do believe that you are willing to trust me when i mention above that “I did browse the whole gallery” and thank you again for your good will. Please uderstand that the attachment is there to provide an exemple for the kind of aesthetics i am more likely inclined to look for.

I for one only like skins that were massive with skulls and fire, unique effects, which are hard to get. Skins that attract attention from a mile away and make people ask “who’d you have to kill to get a dope weapon like that?”. I think in general gw2 lacks flashy skins which are also really difficult to get.

Oh yeah I agree there’s so many ridiculous “swords” compared with relatively normal skins.

And also I really hate how most sword skins clip through the floor when stowed on asura – there’s only a few that don’t such as the timekeeper sword which is stowed higher on the hip. I won’t even bother with things like Infinite Light sadly because of this problem. Either all swords need to be shrunk a bit more when stowed on asura or they need to be positioned higher on the hip like the timekeeper sword.

I’m currently using Honour of Humanity for two reasons:
- it looks like a sword
- it’s short enough to not clip through the ground when stowed on my asura…

Love those descriptions. It’s a pity that most weapons have utterly ridiculous and ugly skins that aren’t even remotely related to a proper (great)sword.

I 110% subscribe to this, please add more normal-looking swords ANet!
