Well , these items are really nice-looking , I must admit. Be that as it may , obtaining them seems far from possibility on account of the fact that it requires the Tournament Ticket , one of the currencies in the game , to buy from the Historians in the Edge of the Mists and the Borderlands of each World server. Since the Fall Tournament in 2014 ended , they have not been focused ever again – until these days. Perhaps , there should be another way to gain them – such as ; the Reward Track in World versus World mode.
So , what do you guys think?

I don’t think they’ll have any more tournaments. They hurt WvW participation and they haven’t had a poll or discussed it since that I know of.

Whens the next WvW tournament?

Our primary motivation for avoiding running another tournament, is that at the end of every tournament we saw a permanent dip in the number of players playing WvW. Presumably this was due to players burning themselves out during the tournament.

However, we can still run a poll to see if the majority of the community wants another 4 week tournament, even if it might be bad for the long term WvW population numbers. Though even if ‘running another tournament’ won the poll, we’d probably hold off until we get the scoring updates in.

Maybe they’ll give those weapons another currency one day but I wouldn’t be holding my breath on it. Another thing started, dropped and abandoned.

The tier 1 weaps are already in a reward track. Here is what we know so far about tier 2…

“The Tier 1 Weapons will be made available in an upcoming Reward Track, much like the armor already is.

We haven’t fully decided how to distribute the T2 Weapons and Armor yet. Though, we are currently leaning towards players purchasing them with a currency that they’d earn as a match reward. We may also set rank requirements for the various pieces, so you’d need to be a relatively high rank(1-2k) to purchase a full set."

(sigh) ….But it’s been for 3 years now… Tell me , how long will all of the Historians stay in those areas with no purposes for use like that? If there’s nothing about the Tournament , why keep them until now? How about adding the Gift of Heroes as one of the reward track so one can craft Hero’s weapons into the Mistforged ones? Please , do something about it , ArenaNet.

It’s less work to keep the historians than to do something new with them — that’s why they’ll remain forever (until they lean a bit more towards some solution or another).

At this point, I think they should just offer a choice of skins every time you hit a certain rank. That wouldn’t help me much (since I don’t WvW every day), but seems like a decent reward for veterans. Maybe one every time you get a new ‘metal’ (bronze, platinum, whatever).

WvW deserves some love and they could figure out some other reward for new currencies.
