Having a round-table poll between community and content developers to avoid wasting time on content that few will purchase.

There have been several gem store items with nice features but one or two things were over the top and determined if I purchased it or not. In some cases it was just the color choices.

Running a community poll with a sneak peak on rough drafts will ensure a higher rate of return on sales.

In fact, I don’t quite understand the concept of limited editions of GW2 digital gear. While some people may rush to purchase it, I think A-Net would have more sales overall if all items were left in the gem store once released.

They will be back at some point, Gaile keeps hinting about it.

• It encourages sales, since people are more likely to spend if they are worried the item won’t be available to them later.
• It adds value to the item for players — if something is always available, humans tend to take it for granted.

I don’t think either of these apply to the Bunny Ears. I suspect instead that there was an issue with the animation and ANet preferred to spend their time working on new stuff rather than fixing it. (Not that I could tell you what the issue was, since clearly people who have them are seemingly happy with them.)

Someone plz give Jax his bunny ears. Accessories after all do make the avatar! :P

Seriously, right? I am very thankful that going from level 1 to 80 in GW2 doesn’t take years like in other MMORPGs; but after reaching 80, it’s all about the swag grind. It’s better to have a good-looking avatar than feeling good. Bunny ear look marvelous! :p

The witch hat was for participation in “Shadow of the Mad King”. It was NEVER in the gem shop and shouldn’t ever be. The bunny ears were in the shop, so by all means re add them but the hat like the title “emissary of the mad king” should stay off limits just like the ballcap (celebration hat) we got at beta/launch. Those shouldn’t be repeated. GAME ON

I think we can all agree to have a simple hood for heavy armor classes.

Hold your horses. Bunny Ears will come, ArenaNet has to put it on this anniversary sale. Players are willing to pay top gem for it. Besides, there is no content for 7 months, so it’s not the right time to disappoint players.

Players who had them as an item for town clothes got them turned into an armor skin when the wardrobe hit but they were never sold as armor skins. You are asking for an item to return that was never there in the capacity you assume they were.

I am well aware they were never a separate skin for head wear. I know they were part of town clothes too. It’s just that when they became a separate option to wear as a headpiece, it could have been brought back AS a headpiece at some point.

Well “never coming back” implies they were once there in that capacity. That’s my point. Many bemoan their absence as if they were once skins pulled from the shop and never returned. They were never that.

So it’s not about returning, it’s about offering for the first time.

Fine, I’m not in the mood to get into an argument over fine details. They were here in one capacity previously. They could have been brought back in another capacity. I don’t think they’ll appear in the new capacity. That’s all I’m saying…

I’ve respected your posts in the past, especially when the Trading Post section was still around. I’ll leave this alone now out of that respect.

Yes the hand full of headgear that didn’t get turned into available skins have been asked for since the wardrobe came out and for whatever reason, it’s not something the Gem Shop team is exploring,

I’m not one of those opposed to bunny ears in a fantasy game on principle. I’m not even bothered anymore by the daily bumping of this thread. But the constant implying that it once was an actual item, by many of the posters over and over again, that grates on my nerves so I had to say something this time.

With the sales happening and everyone now running around with their wings (blek on being original), I was wondering what people want to see roll around as a sale item that hasn’t yet. My two things were Grenth’s Hood and Belinda’s Greatsword Skin. Thoughts?

More skins for all armor types, essence of luck packs, shinier gold dyes in their next exclusive pack, an expensive (for balancing purposes) legendary permanent mining pick that gives jewels with every bit of ore mined, legendary logging axe that does the same with hidden stash.

Also, a rare quality but permanent salvager that doesn’t require copper to use. The major problem with salvage kits is you need to buy from a vendor. That’s money that’s been deleted from the economy, and they eat up your trash vendor, event, direct mob drops money. So to avoid that but still give black lion kits use a permanent rare salvage kit that doesn’t require copper would be good.

I Dont want to bead a dead horse repeatedly but, bring back the bunny ears so i can make my elementalist look like playboy rabbit and bring back sab which colin said would be back ty.

Theres a bunny ears thread a page or two back.

SAB is broke and needs serious work to fix properly, again in another extensive thread elsewhere.

I’d like to see the Chain-Whip Sword skin make a comeback!
