I don’t normally ask for things to be added to the gemstore, but I think one thing this game desperately needs atm is a permanent version of the upgraded extractor since all the HOT sigils/runes are account bound and can’t be bought or sold at the trading post. The normal version of this upgrade extactor is so expensive and is clearly a ripoff that I’d be surprised if it makes you guys any money. If you were to make a permanent version of this tool though, I’m certain players would love it and it would sell better than a copper-fed Salvagematic.

It would also fix your current predicament with legendary armor with people saying how they will be wasting expensive runes by putting it in legendary armor that you can change stats on. You’d be killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

It’s not losing revenue if people aren’t buying them, I don’t know a single person who had bought this item. And now that almost all the best runes/sigils are account bound because of HoT, I hate to use the word unfair but that’s exactly what this is, it’s unfair that we can’t buy or sell the new runes/sigils on the TP like we could before. Letting us extract them is the only way to save them without having to spend tons of hours farming for them over and over.

What lost revenue? No one in their right mind buys the upgrade extractor because nothing worth extracting can make up the cost of the extractor. Now a Gold-fed Salvage-o-matic would be nice for getting upgrades out and is justifiable to use on a vast array of runes and sigils.

There are definitely people who do this, otherwise the item would have been removed/updated by now.

I definitely agree that account-bound runes/sigils are bad game design and that these should wind up on the TP, however they fixed them to map currencies as a way to artificially increase the life-span of the expansion maps to keep them populated and create the impression that they were worth $50 for an expansion.

You can still calculate a gold value from how much gold you could get for those gems, you’re just using an exchange rate that favours the extractor a bit more.

At this time the extractor still costs slightly over 43 gold (43 gold costs 195 gems) if you buy with real money (and per 25 extractors).
Only the refractors, queen bee, superior sigil of karka slaying, superior sigil of concentration and minor sigil of generosity seem to cost more (at instant buy prices) out of the entire trade post category of “upgrades” (discounting infusions which have their own, actually reasonably priced, extractor).

In a vast majority of cases it really is not worth it.

I would probably buy one if this were the case (at least to get runes out of my 3 sets of ascended if nothing else). I saw they were one use and never bought one, not worth the real money to buy when it is cheaper to just buy exotic armor over again and use a BL salvage kit (plus if you buy crafted armor there is a good chance you’ll get an insignia and can usually sell that for roughly the same price as the armor). Then again… I still wouldn’t buy it because only “meta” armors are typically worth more than a gold, everything else is less. Maybe I’d invest in those sets if I could save them when swapping out runes though…

Pros and cons, either way. One use is not worth it. Maybe 12-30 uses per extractor would make them worth it, even if they weren’t permanent.

do you change runes in your gear that often?

I would really like to see the black and white angel wings again. I had just missed them the last time they aware in the store and those are the best wings so far.

Also, any skins, not outfits, that randomly come through are very appreciated.

As I go cantering around Field of Ruin farming soft wood, I’ve just realised I’d pay for something that would show me all the nodes on a map. Pair of binoculars or something that would let me farm more efficiently.

Please bring back the Toxic Gloves and Shoulder skins to the gem store. A lot of people didn’t have a chance to get enough blooms during the event last year to purchase what they wanted. Would be great to have another chance to get these items off the gem store. Thank you.

I’d actually like to mention taking something out of the gemstore (per se). After a year or more, for Black lion Ticket Weapons that have been out of circulation for long enough, I think a good way to address the lack of new weapon skins being added to the game would be to add those as items for the Champ Bag loot tables.

It’s not like people are buying skins that cost 10 Black Lion Tickets, and I hate to see skins that were so lovingly designed be ignored because they are basically unobtainable.

I have come across the problem of liking one gender’s version of an outfit for a character, but it not being the one that that character can wear.
What I think would be a great idea is the ability to choose between the male and female versions of an outfit for either gender character.

I think optional paid content expansions is an important supplementary and experience enhancing move. Every six months have content expansions that goes indepth into the lore of a playable race which requires players to take a character of that race to complete a series of story quest that on completion gives new cultural armor and weapon skins and more importantly cultural based specialisations for each profession available only through buying this content. And do this with each of the five content expansions in their turn. Humans with get additional lore concerning the Ascalon Vanguard and on completion of the quests gain this armour/weapon set. The look of the skins will be better than the Ebon Vanguard set and different to the Catacombs set. The Norn set would to me be the Bear Clan set. But each race would have their turn. And depending on how long Arenanet/NC Soft want to extend the life of the game I hope we get more cultural skins and more profession specialisations via expansions like HoT and through content expansions I have thus described.

And plz new dance books with some actual cool dances, just look at gw1 dances for inspiration.

(1) An unlimited-use wolf logging tool: several wolves appear, run to the tree and howl at it in unison to perform the log gathering (similar to wasp logging tool, but with wolves).

(2) A one-time account upgrade that as map areas are explored, they are revealed for all characters on the account. I’m not talking about completion of vistas, poi’s, etc. — just to remove the fog so all the interesting areas of the map are visible once you explore that area on any character. You can already get this info from various websites, so it is truly a “convenience” item, which is perfect for the gem store.

(3) Account-wide, permanent boosts to magic find, gold find, XP, karma, etc. that stack with the other bonuses of that type. Basically, take the Guild Hall Tavern bonuses, and add a version of each from the gem store that stacks with the other available bonuses of the same type.

(4) Crafting discipline exchange — allow two characters on the same account to exchange 1 profession (and its experience) with each other (or transfer the profession if one of the characters provides nothing to exchange).

(5) Remaining HoT currency nodes for home instance. We already have a way to get an Aurillium node (although it’s not in the gem store). This would provide nodes for Ley Line Crystals and Airship Parts. Maybe this would be better as items for sale at a laurel merchant — or maybe in a way comparable to how we got the Aurillium node.

(6) More shared inventory slots [please, please]

If someone else has already submitted a similar idea then I apologize.

It would be cool to have something similar to the shovels in Dry Wastes that can help locate desired mining nodes.

Here’s how I see them working:
Each resource type has its own unique “finder” for purchase. (Plant, Ore, Wood)
When you purchase the finder it creates an open “utility” slot in your inventory.
You place the item that you want to find in the slot. For example: Orichalcum.
When you double click on the finder in your inventory it creates the beacon icon and the rabbit icon.

Click on the beacon and a colored guiding streamer shows the path to the closest node. Follow the direction to the node. if the resource is not on the map it returns a message of “no nodes found”…or something similar.

Click on the rabbit for speed boost.

Can not engage in combat while in node finder mode.

Sell each node finder for 400 Gems or 1000 for all 3 resource type finders.

Seems like kind of a neat idea, but kind of redundant since they pop up on the mini map anyways, just zoom in and out for honing in on a node.

Packages of advanced emotes. /eat, /drink, /applause, etc. At a reasonable price, of course. Possibly even multi-person emotes if it could be done plausibly. Handshakes, hugs, and stuff.

Cowboy hats don’t exist in the lore of gw…. Your character will be bald anyways because with hats anet doesn’t know how to create hoods/ hats that involve your characters hair.

How about ask for hoods and hats with preset hairstyles.

Is it possible that fused weapons be put back into the lion chests? I got 150 keys ready lol.

I would spend probably $15 on a Margonite outfit that looked like the traditional GW1 Margonites, and hovered slightly above the ground.

I would love a hat skin that looks like the sylvari mushroom hair. I feel like that hairstyle is more of a headgaer skin thats gated behind a race.

In my opinion this should be a free feature on legendary weapons (seeing as legendary stats swaps are useless without free upgrade change), but since we don’t have that we could have something that extracts upgrades at a reasonable price (and not the equivalent of 50 or 100 gold).

Hell, for all I care, the extracted runes, sigils (as well as items that have been extracted from) could turn account bound to avoid “free” try.

PERMANENT TRANSMUTATION CHARGE I don’t make enough money to keep buying them, and I don’t get enough of them from PvP… I am a pretty flower and must win at Fashion Wars 2. I would save up and pay $50 for this seriously! :O

I strongly second this. Even if it was completely RNG based and sellable on the TP such as the other permanent contract utilities I’d still convert just to get one.

Aside from this, a few more shared slot spaces, and definitely dying to see the wide rim glasses and the soul river glider return.
