They were rewards for a specific ingame event, so unless Anet repeats this event, these wings should not come back.

Yes to all of the above! Also Gaile if you still look in this thread I think the gear people are wanting that was added to the Mordrem bloom merchant should come back. Give us an opportunity to transfer some currency to the blooms, whether it be an existing currency or whatever the next festival currency is!

Really, ever since costume items became things we could skin our armor to, people have been asking for this. If you really do read the forums, how have you not seen the plethora of posts about it…

Please bring back the Fused weapons. They haven’t been brought back even though other weapon skins have been and the supply on the trading post is almost gone. Currently there are only 37 for sale and of the 16 skins, 6 have zero supply.

The return of earnable armor sets in game. New cultural weapons and armor sets. That you buy at a vendor in game for gold.

I for one would love a return to the way armor and weapons were released at GW2 launch as earnable. HoT charged a similar price tag at its launch as GW2 proper did at its launch except it was missing the copious amounts of armor sets and weapons that a player could either earn or pay for via in game currencies. There were myriad ways to earn them too! Karma, gold, drops, crafting! The amount of this stuff has all but ceased and it was part of what made the game originally great.

The thing is, that Gemstore Suggestions thread is exactly that. 2 years ago a dev posted in it saying to please give ideas for the store, and ever since players have dutifully been tossing in ideas and requests for returns of items. I myself have annually suggested a champagne toy for Wintersday/New Years

I know it’s a long thread, but most everything in it is not only still valid to the playerbase but gives you an existing rich compendium of player wishes. All you’re going to get here is a duplicate of that one. And possibly a mod will decide it’s a duplicate and merge them and then it will be extra confusing.

I don’t know when I’ll have time for this, but I could possibly be persuaded to volunteer to comb through the existing thread to tabulate all the requests by subject and number of times asked for. Though that will include things like “I would like Marjory’s Dagger” that is posted 3 days after the week-long availability of the item is over. (Not pointing at anyone in this thread on that, it’s just a sample item that I recall seeing that happen with a few times).

I would like to have bunny ears too, it would be so cute on my thief!

Also, Super Adventure Box Boombox. So we can listen to the music while SAB is disabled.

Just curious… why can’t some of the old materials be re-released? Seems to be what a lot of people are asking for. You can always do a test in the gemtore and see how well they sell. I guarantee if you put the Bunny Ears in the gemstore or even the greatsword chainsaw skin, it’ll “fly off the shelf”.

The bunny ears has come up before, and I think I remember you commenting in the thread. Then again it is very difficult to remember every thread you post in, I know I can’t.

The other item I suggested was cat ears, as worn by my GW1 elementalist (she still has them on, even now)

Pages should go faster as ideas start being duplicates that I just need to add to the tally. (Race change already is in the double digits). Hopefully once finished it will help the devs know what the players have been asking for over the past two years since apparently they weren’t mining it for ideas already … even though some things did come true such as infinite axes and picks, diverse finishers, etc.

I was scrolling down to see if anyone beat me to it. I’m THIS close to finding and Necro’ing the “Mix and Match” thread from two years ago. We haven’t forgotten nor lost the desire for these items to be returned as armor skins. Seriously two… TWO… years and still waiting.

I used to love using the Ornate Rouge shirt, Khaki Cargo pants, and the sandals from the cooks outfit. Still a better look than any outfit to date.

The Guild Wars 1 halo as an armor skin. It’s brighter than the Guild Wars 2 halo and has a dripping sparks animation, besides being permanent since it’s not a tonic.

I really want my bunny ears back. I filed a ticket when the outfit stuff happened, but never got them. Since I have yet to see them again, to get them back in the gem store would be nice!

Why remove anything from the Gem Store?

Is there a byte limit or something? If there’s no limit to how many items could be displayed, then there’s no real logical reason to make things “limited offers.” UNLESS of course there’s some marketing guy in the back that thinks its a way to scam more people out of gems/money by giving in-game items artificial rarity.

Sort of like how diamonds are actually quite plentiful, but DeBeers’ controls 85% of the world’s supply.

You can be assured that they were and continue to mine suggestion threads for ideas.

It’s nice of you to compile a list if you want to do it, but “returning” items don’t happen by accident, so as you say, there’s proof enough the team is looking for suggestions and responding to them on a pretty regular basis.

(For gems? erm no) You get this from looting tickets from BL chests by expensive/rare keys (that I can asure that ALOT of ppl got loads off (the tickets), just waiting for “destroy” the value/rareity of that/those skins, not a 700gem bought outfit/app.

It allows them to gouge the consumer by selling items at greatly inflated prices, as opposed to having to sell the item 24/7 at a reduced rate with trickle in purchases.
Anet is all about RNG and Scarcity. Having things on the gemstore all the time is the opposite of scarcity.

I want the Apostle Leggings, it’s the only part of the set I didn’t get from achievement chests back when those were a thing and I’ve wanted to use the Apostle chest and legs together for years.

It’s safe to say at this point the devs are well aware the bunny ears is a highly requested item, and has been for a couple of years or so.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the bunny ears is one of those items the devs want to remain exclusive, as in, only the players who got them when they were available are the only players that will ever have them.

The community is very passionate about this 1 particular item. I admit I’d like to have it myself. But it doesn’t look like anything is ever going to happen.

It would be nice if we could get an actual answer on this other than the standard “we’re reading the forums all the time for feedback”.

So I’d like to just straight up buy it if Anet would consider releasing that mini pack again.

Mad Memoires, both editions. Also for those with the Complete edition to be given the original too since they needed to get that one first before they could start getting the complete edition (and may have deleted it due to lack of space).

Town Clothing; I would still like to see these turned into Outfits that people could wear. I still don’t get why even though they were all filled out with companion parts they got released as tonics. Even if they get locked behind crafting just as a taster for people to get started with outfits.

Since 2017 will be the year of the Rooster, it’d be nice if the zodiac weapons cycled back through so we can all blow on our rooster warhorns

Please, bunny ears, tormented weapons, all the gaze masks, aviator glasses, and that chain whip sword need to come back to the gemstore.

It would be nice to see the old PvP skins (Stalwart, etc.) making a comeback as a special track, like the Glorious one where you get to choose one piece at the end. Quite a lot of skins are not availible due to the system change.

You can only play that game for so long until people get tired of it and stop playing. It’s getting tiresome to see the gem store selection come and go so quickly.

At this point in the meta it seems like they’re churning out tons of gem store items non-stop at limited times to try and bank up cash. When before they would only come out with stuff every two weeks or so and also they came out with living story content.

The content/money spent ratio is going way down for anyone using the gem store. Someone might want to use the expansion as an excuse but that’s invalid because we paid for that expansion out-right.

For the amount of items they want us to buy in the gem store they should be putting out more practical new content on the regular basis they were before.

NOTE: They’ll keep playing the gem store gouging game as long as the player base lets them. Stop participating in the Fashion War 2 bank drain game and they’ll stop playing it too.

I guess I have to chime in with the Shattered Holographic Wings again. If they were to come to the gem store, I would buy them for my kid. If they came back as something purchased with Laurels (like pretty much every other event reward did) they would buy them. If there was a new achievement to do, they would do it.

I don’t know why these wings are so important. Maybe because it was the first achievement they completed. But the sad fact is that every time the kid sees those wings in the game it is like rubbing salt in the wound. It is really unfortunate that they could not be replaced. At least this kind of a thing will no longer happen with the wardrobe.
