I found some pictures that at least prove Tengu were underway for design. And, since most people believe they’re going to come with the Primordus xpac, which is rumored to be next, it fits for that as well. Also there’s a picture of another map. I want to know if any of this is PROVEN fake. I know the DE one will never come out because that was designed for if it was at launch, just included cause it’s cool.

The first pic looks quite shopped, but that aside, it’s confirmed that Tengu were originally planned to be one of the playable races, it’s mentioned in the Collector’s Edition book.

Upload the pic, then hit preview, it should give you the option to upload another pic, repeat.

Anyway. Tengu were intended to be a release race, but were scrapped at some point in development. Maybe they’ll come back, but there is currently no information on that.

I know this could be and probably is all just stuff from when they were planning it. I just want to point out that people really want them, it works perfectly for story, work has already been partly done for them, and Anet knows all this.

I would not say that is proof. The first looks pretty photoshopped. The second could be early ideas for the tengu as a race before it was scrapped. There is no proof of anything until Anet announces officially that there is going to be a new race.

And they haven’t. And there’s no new race for HoT, so nothing is coming any time soon regardless.

There was a Tengu in DE. But then Rytlock was hunger and figured, tastes like chicken. And then there was more shares of loot for all.

Yea the sources are from all over. Not saying this is proof, I was asking if it was.

I would play the game a lot more if Tengu was a playable race, only the Charr is interesting for me (i spent 3000+ hours on my Charr Guardian), Humans are all the same, Asuras are weird, Sylvaris are salads (and i hate Scarlet and Trahearne) and Norns are annoying…
