Thank You for FotM
Yeah, the fractals dungeons are some of the best I’ve played in any game. Some of the original dungeons had me a little worried that ANet didn’t really “get” how to do dungeons, but the fractals have alleviated any fears I had. They are absolutely perfect. A great combination of fun and challenge.
This whole event has got me so excited about the future of this game. ANet got off to somewhat of a rough start in GW2, but what a way to prove they really have it in them…
Congratulations to all the ANet team keep up the good work guys .I love your game! The gw2 is the only game for worth no 50 but 1000 of my euros(and i play Aion,wow,tera,bf3and much much more.) !!!And thnx again about this perfect game (maybe a few bugs but no worries).
Please keep this post clean!
kittening love Flavor of the Month!
I actually enjoy FotM, running with guildies and having a blast trying to figure out the quirks of every little map. I enjoy having the different maps and all the programming that anet had to do to put this into place, and this is how far into the release of this game? 3 months, I cant wait to see what they have 1 – 5 years down the line… to all those that are saying “oh im quitting, because of blah blah blah”, have fun with your next game. The long time players will be here, just like most of us were there for GW1 that long time between GW1 and GW2.

Funny how actual GW1 fans are most offended by the new changes.
“it doesn’t make you spend hours preparing to have fun, rather than having fun”
Guild missions say otherwise.
If you are all about the treadmill I would bet thousands of dollars IRL that you werent in GW1 for more then a couple months.
That is how confident I am, so hopefully you are better at chasing that carrot then lieing
:DDD i wasn’t there for gw1, but i know i’ll be around for gw2.
not sure how i feel about ascended gear yet. actually.. i am indifferent. i have my exotic sets i’m happily working towards : ))) and let’s face it, mainly for vanity. (going for two dungeon sets, one for looks, one for stats and tramsuating!D).
the FotM dungons are in-fact, SO MUCH FUN. they’re short. and i didn’t start regular dungeons util i was 80 so when i first started doin them, i just followed people around. now i’m actually getting the chance to figure things out. that’s besides the point though lol but it’s defiitely added ot my enjoyment of the game. looking forward to doing more and leveing up and further challenging myself. the potential rewards are just bonus to the dungeon itself.

If GW1 fans are so upset about a grind, let them remember how many armor sets GW1 had. Most of which had numerous sets of.

Even in GvG/HA/RA/TA there was a grind. (Deer rank to Dragon)
When its all said and done, most of us are used to this. No game will just give you everything on a silver platter. FotM is a new way to get gear and not have to spend hours upon hours in Orr competing with bots for drops. It gives us something to do. Heck run fractal lvl1 over and over, gold/exotics will drop and we dont have to compete with bots for the loot. Its one way for anet to look/find out where these bots are and address it.

Whatever you grinded in GvG HA RA TA never gave you a sword that did 16-23 damage. Never. That’s why GW1 players are angry.

I thank ANet… They fiddle with the title of my post. Really moderator? Really? LOL

Fractals are awesome! Have people seen the cliffside fractal? Or the Solid Ocean one?
Lovin em’ to bits!

Dude, some REAL dungeons are still bugged as hell, and thsi is how far into the release of this game? 95% players that wanted this are noobs that couldn’t do any real dungeon
Kill Lupicus and then you will see good dungeon
Only had time to play two levels, but both of them I was VERY impressed with

Stop posting misinformation, the top gear in GW1 was easy to aqcuire, and you farmed skins.

psssh you must have done only Difficulty1. I’ve been farming Arah and Lupicus for 2 months now and Fractals offers just as much challenge as Arah. but its a different type of difficulty that derives from its blend of puzzle and teamwork based mechanics. at higher difficulty levels i’ve seen skill groups that regularly one-shot Lupicus like he was a punk, repeatedly fail at the Fractals.
And CoF path 3 isn’t teamwork? and how many players are doing it? other dungeons are teamwork more then FoM, and FoM is pretty easy if you have brain, it’s just so hard for some guys to learn it so it seems like super smart thing
And i’m at diff 5 with necro, survived 5 times more then warrior and guardian in my team (MF gear probably) and then i got BOOOOOORED

While max gear was fairly simple to acquire, gaining specific skins was difficult. I played GW1 since 2005 and I have only 6 sets of elite armor across all characters. I stopped playing GW1 for awhile because the amount of grind for titles and armor sets and weapons was immensely boring to me. Farming is the same as grind to me.
I have immensely enjoyed GW2 since BWE1 and recently got one of my characters to level 80. (Oh I took 2 months or so to get to 80! Must be slow.) I haven’t had to farm anything, or grind anything at all. Sure, some people choose to do that, but I don’t find it fun so I don’t. There’s plenty of other things to do. All that being said, Fractals is my favorite part of the update. (If not, my favorite update since the clocktower.) It’s challenging, has the possibility for moderately good loot, is random, and has some stuff I recognize from GW1. (Jade Sea? The Searing? Excellent.) If they had just added FoTM and no lag-inducing karka I would enjoy this update equally as much as I have so far. I haven’t gotten any good loot but the gameplay is fantastic. Maybe I’ve been lucky with good groups, but I’ve been enjoying FoTM so far.
Only problem I’ve encountered is being disconnected but I’m sure Anet will get on that eventually.
Fotm is the correct step forward for dungeons…making it fun, and not just X trash mobs + tank’n’spank boss
Thank you all those who worked on this
FotM is the best experience I’ve ever had in the game. Thank you ArenaNet. All the 50 or so people on the forums whining and threatening to quit. You should probably just do it.
Fractals are amazingly epic and fun! The environments, the mechanics, the stories, the blend of puzzles and traps and lore and combat has just blown me away.
Those crazy, creatively imaginative peeps at ANet really delivered on this one
The only thing I hate are the jump puzzles. Everything else is awesome though.
