So Anet you thinned the numbers in Orr thats great. But now in Malchors Leap for the Karst Plains SP I have to kill the vet guarding it then the champion that spawns instead of the old second vet? Great make it easier to “farm” but harder to clear the maps…

I don’t know what’s up with this. Is it bugged or what? Usually you have to kill the vet guarding the spawn and then start to commune with the SP and a second vet would spawn. Now instead if the “kill the champion Knight event” is up it brings him to you to deal with. That’s just fantastic. Because you know everyone will be playing in Cursed Shore right? No one hardly goes back to the other orr maps if they already have the map completes.

3 chars I have with 100% world complete and I never had this problem but now…

You know when I first started playing this game I would spend up to 10-12 hours per map as I was making lists/notes and such. Such as vendor lists, normal merchants and the items they sold, what these items did. I must have a pretty big list now of all that sort of thing such as all those hylek potions, cannonballs, medical kits, broken prison bars, bandit’s improvised bomb etc etc etc the list goes on and on. Yet I am to find this spykit you mention. I do vaguly recall some feather or something I think that made you go invisible but im sure that was for something measly like 3 seconds……must research…..however I’m sure it takes longer than 3 seconds to commune with a point.

Edit: aha yes found it, it is on my list and sure enough 3 seconds, might be worth a shot later I guess but still, I find this an issue and I am sure others will too…

Every WP is always contested. You finally find a WP that isn’t contested, awesome! Go and get a cup of coffee and come back to a dead body because now it’s under siege and there are no WP anywhere even close to where you just were that aren’t contested.

Is this area intended to be explored? It’s a ghost town, no one ever doing the events, you can never get karma gear.

The whole place is just a mess.

People are always doing events in Cursed Shore. Karma vendors are all open at least once or twice a day. You could also take the first step and actually get people together to open them if they aren’t already when you get online.

You’re making it sound worse than it actually is. There are also a lot of camps and WPs that are “safe” and never contested. AFK at those, not in the event-heavy areas.

Just yesterday, I participated in opening 2 Karma vendors for the gear, wasted 180k Karma on Orrian Jewelry boxes. We obviously opened up Arah for people want to run it (the last phase on the Wizard is now a tremendous pain, be hella fun) and we did Melandru later, which would be easier if the crocs spammed 4 on the acolytes (interrupt!).

So maybe it’s just your server ?

I just hope that Arah wizard drop his eternity as a loot (with 0.0000000000000000000001% chance).

It must be. I don’t know where the cursed shore is. I just made it to Malchor’s Leap today. Everything is contested, except for a few WP’s.

I didn’t see a soul there except someone who literally popped up from underneath an ore node, blinked in and out for a few seconds and was gone.

I don’t even have a clue what profession that was. Thief maybe? But they sure weren’t helping with anything.

If it’s not like this on all the servers, then maybe I should look for a new one.

That was a bot or a hack that takes toons from node to node underground or tele.

Malachor is always empty, you need to get to the cursed shore. If I can recall the entrace to cursed shore is in the SW corner of Malachor, there is a bridge you have to cross.

As far as I know, there are two of them. Check gw2db.com and search for “spy kit” (two words, not one). Or just google “gw2 spy kit”.

They function differently, but the one you want is in the Charr starter zone, IIRC.

EDIT: Google ftw; it’s the Ash Legion Spy Kit sold by Kyra Sharptracker in Plains of Ashford, which is indeed the Charr starter zone.

Thank you for the tip. I ended up clearing the rest of the map and then came back to solo the champ, got him down to about 10% health after 10 mins before 2 others came to help finish him off. Still a nasty surprise getting to face a champion now to clear a SP when usualy it’s only a Veteran. His name in the event bar even calls him a “Veteran”. I guess this maybe another oversight like that “veteran” spider in that other map which is really a champion also…..

Impossible, that is the drop rate of a rare, exotic drop-rates are still unsolvable and as for Eternity, it is rumored to take an eternity.

This wont be a problem, I have done it 3 times before on 3 other chars. There is usually some way or another to sneak in and out or just wait for a group to kill things.
