In my bank sits Gift of Mastery, Gift of Fortune, and Gift of the Juggernaut. Every day I slowly accumulate gold so I can buy a precursor that gradually inflates in price to stay outside of my reach. Every day I grow to hate this game just a little bit more. Nothing is fun about saving up hundreds of gold to buy a precursor. Yet somehow, in your infinite wisdom as developers, you have seen fit to push back a solution indefinitely in favor of garbage like SAB and Living Story.

So thank you ArenaNet, for reminding me that other companies besides Blizzard are out there actively wrecking their games.

You are doing it wrong. Solution: gems > gold.

A couple hundred dollars this way.
And there’s your precursor.

A couple thousand dollars this way.
And there’s your legendary.

You dont even need to actually play the game to get either. It would take me 5 minutes to get a Legendary. Nobody will know that you threw in some dollars…or rather everybody already knows but agree that it’s okay.

Looking at your situation, you are very very close to it, right? So it would be around $20 to get the edge on inflation. You will forget about the $20 once you have your Legendary, because you will be happy. $20 to remove all your frustration, hate, depression and future heart problems is a real opportunity than should not be missed.

So your problem should be solved first an people like me that like the living story should wait? Why do you think you’re more important than us?
By the way I got my legendary the same way that you’re trying right now. Prices don’t inflate indefinitely and at some point precursors even drop in price. You just need patience.

If you do not like grind – don’t grind. And there is no point to go to the forum and create another angry topic, like “meh meh meh I’m not happy. meh meh meh Blizzard better.”. If you have a complaint – offer a solution.

Agreed these topics and users are the toxic/cancer killing gw2 main forum , if you have an issue send a mail to the devs/support. We cant do anything for you and dont want to hear kids cry anymore . ty.

This, oh so this. Legendary is a legendary bore to get, but the living story and SAB have been fantastic to play through. Content over grinding any day.

If your main goal in this game is to get a legendary…I’d say you’ve got a problem. My son’s main goal was to get a legendary. Then he got it and the game was done for him. He was finished. He stopped playing. Okay he came back to get an ascended weapon, then stopped playing again.

So you’re just playing yourself out of game. That’s it. I know it seems like having an ascended weapon will just make this game so much better for you, but it wasn’t true for me and it’s not true for a lot of other people either.

However, those who enjoy the content updates, are continuing to enjoy the game whether they have a legendary weapon or not.

You won’t get a legendary weapon every two weeks…but every two weeks new content comes out.

I think the game is much better for that.

Honestly, both are garbage. The weapons are a bad grind in a grind in a grind.

The living story is the worst storytelling or even story ever in a MMO.
I wonder why we have dragons as main plot if we have to fight a cheap version of adult Tiny Tina for monthes…
