nope… I didn’t get it either cause I was sick for like half the event, feels kind of unfair but alas, nobody is going to do anything about it.

I really wish we could use these on the Aquabreathers. They would make a fantastic diving helmet!

When I first got the gasmask skin I didn’t really know what to do with it but it’s perfect for my Charr Engineer

That’s the Aetherized staff. The skin is currently 200 gold on the TP or you can put together a pile of claim tickets to get one.

My Necromancer wears one to keep his attacks from effecting himself. Also I’m sure it makes him look scary after bombing people with fear gas. I’m still sad I couldn’t get the land aquabreather for pvp though. Stupid RNG boxes.

My Norn warrior, rocking the gas mask with heavy plate armor and a peacemaker rifle. Colors are mithril, purple tint and citrus.

That’s how all cosmetic items acquired through achievements should work in my opinion. Same with story and lore items acquired through achievements as well.

Moved the gas mask to help tweak my magitech armor a bit into a more cooler shocktrooper.:P

I am sad that they have added these rewards in there for players to get. I thought some of these items were supposed to commemorate that event.

Here’s mine. I’m not really a RPer, but I always like to create a small background for my characters, in this case is the result of an accident trying to mix magic with engineers flamethrowers which left him basically unable to survive without that full body suit (originally was meant to be scarred by using one of the engineer googles, but changed it when he got the gas mask)..

I don’t understand why skins like this mask aren’t stored in achievement panel and retrievable as much as you want…. this way they lay in my alt’s backpack and I won’t even use them because I cannot decide which character is best looking with them.
However, I understand that it would lessen buying of transmutation crystals so that’s probably the reason….

I wish I had the gas mask for my engineer. I named him Desert Punk, but I only spvp so hopefully those rewards turn out to be good. I hate having to pve for pvp.

If it was transmutable to any armor weight I’d use it, and swap if another alt needed it more. But I simply cannot decide if only my heavies, lights, or thief get it. I think it’s a terrible design to make the item require that kind of choice.

I still have all three weights of dragon helm skins waiting but that’s only because no alts have really wanted them yet. I’ll be happy to apply the skins when the look is needed, because I can use them on any alt with a little bit of work. The gas mask is going to wait for the QoL fix that makes it more alt friendly.

So, now we have the wardrobe but will have armor weights, how does the gas mask behave? At its origin it is a weightless skin, but once applied it belongs to that particular armor type (once applied to heavy armor it cannot be applied to light armor).

Any dev answer? Because some of us love this skin and want to wear it on all eleven of our characters.
