Well finished map completion and seen that my character select screen shows my award, I login and have my title for all characters “Been there, done that”. I received my two gifts of exploration. But my star does not show on all my characters?

Is this a known bug to be addressed a later time? Or is this working as intended?

I can understand having to go explore and quest on a new character to clear clouded undiscovered areas, but I figured your reward will follow your character to character since your gifts are account bound and so is your title.

I have two lvl 80’s, few low level alts, but I couldn’t imagine doing full map completion more then once, very tedious, repetitive, grindy. Pretty much the title you receive says it all?

The star only shows for the character that achieved it. If you want it on another character, you must get 100% world exploration on that character. This star is a show of dedication to a specific character on your account.

as far as i know, the star is only seen to the actual character who have finished/completed the map., and it is working as intended

( i have 2 lvl 80 alts, and its really painful to complete the map againn, but my only motivation is to get another set of gift of exploration)

The title is your way of showing that you have map completion on your account. The star is there to show that that specific character completed world exploration. If you don’t want to do completion on another character, just have them equip the title.

I thought it was account based too. Then I saw a level 48 asura with the gold star, hanging out in LA. Now I’m not so sure. I just can’t see how this would be done on any character lower than the mid to high 70s.

Though I can see where you’re disappointed; I like the fact that I can complete maps and receive rewards on alts. I am stalled at 97% map completion on my main. It’s the last of the WvW that I’m missing. So I just run alts around maps while I wait it out.

I wouldn’t mind if it were account bound as long as they don’t take the rewards away for alts completing maps as well.
