Guild Wars 2

Most of you will know me as a big supporter of Anet…but when they get it wrong, I’ll say so.

Most recently, they gave people two days to click on a bonfire on the beach to complete the last achievement of their Flame and Frost story. The problem is, in an article on their website:

They said that this bonfire would be available until the 16th…not the 14th. If there’s a bonfire still in game, I’d appreciate it if someone would let me know.

The problem is the article was published with the 16th. We told the guild the sixteenth, some people logged in today to get it, and it’s not there. And it’s annoying. They’ve done everything else in Flame and Frost, but they can’t get the last achievement because Anet changed the schedule.

As you can see in the article the 16th at the top is crossed out (but it wasn’t when we read the article).

I’m not sure why the bonfires couldn’t have stayed for a couple of more days, but a couple of my guildies are quite annoyed (and rightly so) that the date has changed.

I hope Anet gives the people who missed it the achievement they missed. Not a big deal for a lot of people, but it’s a big deal for some people.

Agreed, they should simpyl add the bonfires for another day or two, it was their mistake afteral, no reason to not put them there to correct their own mistake.

Hi everyone,

We understand the frustration about not having enough notice to claim the achievement. The original date given for the Epilogue was incorrect, and while we corrected date in forum posts and on the website, some did not see the updated information or have the time to collect that achievement.

We will put the bonfires back in the game tomorrow, sometime during ArenaNet office hours, so players who missed out can get the Rallying Flame achievement. The bonfires will not give any buffs, however.

EDIT: The bonfires will remain in-game until May 28.
