Needs to be widened. How boring would it be if everyone had everything, everyone was the same?

You see the picture? Those are multiple sets of armor over the various campaigns and expansions. Some were considered more prestigious than others. Given they all had the same power level, I could [and did] swap back and forth freely based on mood and build requirements. It was fun. Nothing in there was particularly exclusive or incredibly out of reach. Nothing was unattainable. In fact, we helped each other get them. It wasn’t boring at all. We let our playstyles, personalities, and skills speak on our behalves, not some vain desire to look down our noses at the have-nots. Those days may be well and over, but everyone having something is always better than someone having everything.

Good chance the opening post was not written by a GW1 player. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but people have to realise Anet really wants this game to be DIFFERENT to all the others out there. If you don’t know what I mean by that I refer you to the brilliant post above mine. :P

Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?

Don’t remind me of the good old days. It just makes me realize how far the apple has fallen from the tree. GW2 is shaping up to be the sequel to GW in nothing but name (and storyline).

Yeah, the best thing about eating a 16inch Mexicana pizza with extra cheese, is knowing there are people who are starving and homeless in the same country. The fact there are others dying in other countries just makes it taste even better…

Oh, you mean virtual tat? Yeah… The pink one should always be more expensive so it’s easier to extort 9yr old girls…

When is Anet going to figure out that intrest on debts is the best money sink ever??? We should all be playing to pay a mortage on our home instances, and calling the few people we see with nice things Kittens. It could even open the door to having a virtual dystopian state, what could be better?

All hail Emperor Anet, and their new clothes!

The gap will widen as the game progresses. Those who have gold will be able to make better investments.

It’s the same with the real world. Those who are rich can make easy money on interest.

There’s nothing wrong with the income gap. If you’re poor, then you’re poor. I don’t have pity for you and neither should anyone have jealousy of the wealthy.

In the real world wealth is finite. If you have more than others it’s a certainty you got it from what amounts to robbing your fellow human beings.

It wide from people with a few gold to people with 1000’s. It needs to be wider than that?
