It’d be a great update if my character’s traits weren’t reset to 0 and the game won’t let me set them.

Very annoying.

What gives?

The update some minutes ago has brought with it several bugs, so expect it to be patched soon (hopefully). Until then, try to work around it or wait.

No it did not only break my first toon I logged into. So far I logged into 3 of the 10 toons I have and all 3 have all traits reset.

I got the same issue. They are all at 0%, but they are all still unlocked. Didn’t try to unlock them again since I don’t want to re-spend my hero points again on something i already unlocked

I did see the issue happen on the first toon I logged on, but haven’t checked others. On my other account I logged into a non 80/maxed toon and then logged it to my lvl 80 and didn’t notice the issue there, going to go back to the one i originally logged on my other account to see if it repros.

When you log into the game, all traits are reset to zero, no trait points were refunded, they are gone, and you can’t use any trait points you have still available to set your traits.

BADLY broken.

7/8 characters on my main account are having the same issue. I have one of each so all but my Ranger. My other account doesn’t. The only difference is that my main account has HoT and the other one doesn’t

Checked another toon. Only have 13 hero points which means I unlocked a bunch already. Unlike one my other toon that had everything reset including hero points, this one just shows everything hasn’t been unlocked. Left side shows nothing is unlocked although I do clearly have all the traits and skills that I did unlock.

All the characters I logged in on yesterday have this issue, but not any of my others that I’ve checked.

Edit: As others have seemed to notice too, it appears to just be a UI bug for training, story, collections, daily achieves, assume a few other things too. Although a few players have other issues like losing legitimate access to HoM so some things are more serious. It may extend beyond just those, but primarily we just need to make sure Anet is aware so they can fix it. I’m sure they are by now though.

I am very glad that only your first is broken but you might not want to mislead people with that. There are many, including myself, who’s first wasn’t but others were. I found most of my older characters are broken, but newer ones aren’t. But even that rule of thumb isn’t accurate. Seems pretty random.

I logged in on my levl 41 toon. Not affected. Logged in on my lvl 80 toon, and it is affected by the bug. It seems the bug affects toons at lvl 80. Thats my thoughts on it.
