Oh well, good groups will continue doing her in that corner, for pugs it will eventually be a lot harder from now on
Stairs stacking is not an option anymore even for experienced groups because the amount of poison is so high now that she can wipe the whole party in a matter of three ticks.
Unless you kill her before she uses that attack, which is definitely doable for an experienced group.
Well what we did was lure out the first spit and then stack and kill in 5 seconds. Too long a cool down to matter.

ran 2 AC paths half an hour ago, noone knew about the change, my pet got blamed (who was stacking like everyone else btw….ranger life)
It didnt matter anyway, she burns so quick she only had time to pull the poison aoe on the stack right before dieing. Only change is now the dungeons is 20 seconds longer, the time to walk from the waypoint or res the dead
Still, ANET, HIRE SOMEONE TO WRITE THE PATCH NOTES. Seriously, this is the only mmo i’ve ever played where at every update half of the changes are treated like easter eggs

Meh, I’m flexible. If groups want to range her in the open, sure. If groups want to stack her in the corner, sure. The stack method is faster, but the Queen is still pretty darn easy if you range her provided you know how to dodge. (And if you don’t, you really shouldn’t be doing dungeons. ) I’m OK with whatever the group wants to do.
So just one thing to the guys at Anet if you want to do something, do it right so now the champion commander in SE p1 will agro with Tazza, but as soon as Tazza teleports out of her leash range her she can now fight out of it but the commander still get reseted.
What was the point of this change…
The problem if Tazza teleports out of her leash range she can be fought out of the designated area, it’s a day one issue we know it. Do you guys even care?
No idea if it is true but someone claimed that another chest spawns if you do that one “properly”. If that is true it seems okay to me.

I don’t know about you guys but nobody else remembers the devs saying they don’t comment on exploit fixes and similar changes? Usually the things they don’t put in patch notes are things related to exploits because they don’t want to give people ideas/remind players about what was vulnerable. Yes, this does make it difficult to distinguish between something unintentionally changed and fixing something they didn’t want players doing/knowing about. But generally, when it comes to dungeons at least, they don’t talk about exploit fixes.

Thats funny cuz my group just stacked and wiped him within 5 sec. AoE isnt an issue

they made cc skills useless in pve….and now they’re trying to do it w/ reflects.
why not adjust reflect damage on bosses if you aren’t capable of improving boss attack patterns?next time i read a dev post with the words “in order to promote build diversity”……..LOL
every move they make in pve narrows the desirable build selection to zerk gear and +% damage modifier traits….for every class. fractals is all that remains.
They made those skills unblockable so it’s even worse when you think about that. Offhands like shield for warrior is completely useless in those fights because you either have to evade it in melee (which isn’t that trivial) or abuse AI and use ranged weapons. With those changes the game becomes more and more 1111 spam from range.
HotW troll has the same skills as the AC troll along with the same mechanics. When they did the change, the troll was dropping AC tokens the first few hours till they fixed it. Got quiet a laugh out of that since it just seems they did a copy and paste for him.
They must have undone that fix soon after then, because I started doing dungeons a couple weeks after the troll was buffed (when people were still insisting on melee stacking him) and he dropped AC tokens for at least the month I was doing HotW.
Not the first stealth nerf to slow the ability to make gold. I doubt it’ll be the last either.
It’s not that hard to dodge it. It’s rather predictable because she charges up her attack (or something like that).
But it does kind of annoy me how reflecting skills are getting hit more and more after each updates.

Nope, it’s even easier as you can fgs him against a wall. And wall of reflections is more consistently well placed for pug groups.

I hate that they are messing up reflects, mostly because I recently started playing with reflect mesmer… It seems stupid to have this thing for your character that says “This skill reflects projectiles” and then have a secret laundry list of dozens of exceptions.
Hey, Anet, how about a little consistency? Either let us reflect or don’t. Having random unreflectable and unblockable exceptions sprinkled throughout the game is just confusing and frustrating.
I’m not sure these changes had to deal with stacking. On one hand, the spider queen now does her AoE always. On the other hand, the golem in CoE is now easily stacked.
So… neutrality? Anyway, hidden updates are always a pain.
They changed to spider queen in AC you say? Well now I’m thoroughly confused. When I said (and I’m sure many others) that stacking against the queen was an exploit-for the very same reason; bosses simply do not use their abilities, I got infarcted for wrongfully accusing players of inappropriate behaviour in the game. Now after many many months it’s fixed out of the blue which means it was an exploit? Obviously, because if it was ‘working as intended’ then there would be no reason to fix it…to do the same bloody thing some of us were saying it should do and players were exploiting the fact that it didn’t in the first place.

I think it was less an exploit and more of just bad mechanics. It wasn’t exactly game-breaking, it was just kind of stupid that you could do that. And Anet probably knew that, saw people were doing it, had a meeting, decided yes that’s a hole in our design that people have discovered and are using to make it easier to fight the queen, so let’s fix it.
I mean, honestly the queen is not a difficult fight, accusing someone of exploiting because they found a slightly easier way to do an encounter does have the air of exploitation, but there is no real major advantage to doing it on that one encounter, so maybe that downgrades the offense to just poor mechanics on Anet’s side.
I dunno, it’s a gray area.

There is a bug with the CoE change, the golem doesn’t activate when we walk through the door and hence stop the dungeon progression. It already happened twice for me since the patch yesterday. We just gave up on that dungeon during our dungeon tours run. It was quite frustrating.
Because, instead of ninja nerfs, these are changes they want us to find “organically”. It’s their excuse for “forgetting” to include stuff in the patch notes.
I hope you mean naturally, Or I will start hunting players that look for things robotically.
