Greetings,

With the recent update 28th April 2015 – I hit 99% totaling 149mb. The last 1%(last file) ended up downloading another 273mb, so in fact that remaining file was 65% of the total download.
The percentage bar therefore clearly does not represent useful progress for time or data estimation.

Is there any site/forum that displays the total update size? If not could it not be posted with the Game Release Notes?

It would’ve been super handy if something told me I was going to download around 422mb

The main issue is that no one knows exactly how big it will be. It is different for different people.

Hey thanks, yeah I had a look at that and the thread looks to be focused on the entire game download rather than the updates themselves.

Surely updates couldn’t differ more than say +-20mb. If 500mb of updates are posted, an estimated 500mb should be downloaded and applied. It’d be nice to be able to differentiate 50mb and 500mb patches. But saying that, the game is old already, there must be a reason this isn’t apparent and you could be right in terms of widely varying sizes.

The percentage bar does, and has always, only shown the number of files downloaded. You can reset it to zero any time by re-starting your download. It would be nice if it correlated to amount of data, but…it never has.

The hot-fixes used to never be less than 50Mb, but they changed the way downloads work some time back. /shrug

Ahh apologies. I was under the assumption you meant the entire game.
