Seems they forgot to add Pristine Fractal Relics to the new wallet system.

It was intended that Pristine Fractal Relics are not in the wallet. I don’t know why that is the case, but I do know that this is not a bug, it was intended.

Laurels are the same type of daily currency as pristine relics, why leave them out? doesn;t make any sense

While they should add them… did they at least add the regular relics? Those are the things taking up quite a few spots in my bank. And I have 0 use for them.

Yes they did.

I don’t know why they went for the grid layout instead of a list; probably continuing the trend of large UI elements (see also new achievement list).

I think that fractal pristine relics just ended up not fitting into the grid, but that will bite them in the behinds when new currencies emerge (or have we lost any hope for new permanent dungeons?)

A list would have been better as it could have hosted temporary currencies as well, such as vote tokens, kite fortunes, fortune scraps, zhaitaffy, and all the previous ones. Even weapon tickets are a form of currency.

The layout seems very limiting and the selection arbitrary.

People do have stacks of

• anything that ends in -token or -scrap

People don’t have stacks of

• laurels
• Shards of Zhaitan

Laurels are a general currency. Pristine Fractals aren’t.

And just cause people don’t farm Arah and may not have stacks of tokens doesn’t mean they should be excluded. It’s still a dungeon token.

My point is that everything that ends in -token is a currency. Regardless of how many you are likely to stack up over a lieftime.

Otherwise, what’s stopping other people for asking for stacks of food? Stacks of legendaries? Stacks of siege?

People are not asking for ‘stacks of legendaries’ or any consumable use items (seige, food, spy kits etc) to be in the wallet…

Matin even said in another thread “it makes it a lot easier to use them at the vendors as you no longer have to go to your bank to withdraw them.” in reference to all of the tokens that are going into the wallet, yet this is exactly what we have to do with Pristine Fractal Relics, which are a permanent token, for the permanent content that is Fractals of the Mists.

Think about the two types of fractal currency for just a second.

• Fractal Relics
  • Aquired in Fractals of the Mists
  • Spent at the buy-4373 vendor in the mistlock observatory
  • Will be placed in the wallet
• Pristine Fractal Relics
  • Aquired in Fractals of the Mists
  • Spent at the buy-4373 vendor in the mistlock observatory
  • Will NOT be placed in the wallet

Hmmmm…. I wonder where something went wonky…

So, I accidentally deposited my watchwork sprockets, not knowing that they were depositable (support tokens and fortune scraps weren’t); had to WP to the bank to get them out of the collectible tab; deposited them in my invisible bag; now carrying my watchwork sprockets in my inventory permanently so I can potentially spend them at NPCs.

What did you say was the wallet for? So we wouldn’t have to do this anymore, right?

What I find funny is the pristine relics weren’t added, but the normal relics which are required in mf recipes and cant be removed from wallet were.

Guess whoever came up with this idea has never upgraded or downgraded an essence.

Yeah, I thought it was odd as well that they don’t go into the wallet.

You can only get 1 pristine fractal relic per day. That’s it. That’s max.

Someone would have had to do a daily fractal run at level 10 or higher every single day for 250 days to have a stack.

I’m not sure the fractals have been out long enough for that to occur.

Last time I checked, you can get one pristine relic per tier 10+ daily reward actually. So one for level 10 run, one for a 20, one for a 30 etc…

Ah okay. I didn’t realize that. Though I’m over level 20, I don’t remember getting a pristine fractal token from that run.

Still, it’s a long haul. I’m pretty sure no one has more than two stacks, and pretty sure 95% plus percentage of the people don’t even have one.

The point of the wallet is that you don’t have to carry the items around in your inventory when speaking to the various vendors, or WP to the bank first to retrieve them. And this is totally applicable to both pristine fractal relics AND event-based currencies (which, on top of it, players DO tend to have stacks of).

so basically we traded an option to infuse rings/backpieces to just have a wallet with all the relics where we can’t use them(except npc vendor). Hmm I hope this design isn’t on purpose and was jut a mistake. Or maybe they have changed the recipe so it doesn’t require relic anymore? I really doubt that tho..

I’m pretty sure they simply forgot, same with dungeon tokens and crafting.

Sadly, this is probably the case. Conveinence only so much. If they add the PFR there would be blank space in the grid and people would keep asking for stuff to go into said space or posting conspiracy theories about the ‘new currency for the empty space’.

I haven’t actually been in game yet but Martin said that the intention was to place on object on buy-4373 in the mistlock observatory that you purchased for the same amount of relics used in the mystic forge to replace the use of the relics in the forge. Not sure if this is in game yet or not.
