We need a major change in the game
Alot of people on my friend’s list (including my brothers) left when they came out with that ascended crap.
I, personally, left for a bit. I came back a few months ago and tried FoTM. Yes it can get repetitive and grindy, but it opened my eyes to a new mode of playing GW2 (ie: FoTM and PvE dungeons). I actually do more dungeons than WvW nowadays; even got my Dungeon Master title.
Most of the people that I’ve met and played with since I came back still play pretty regularly. And my regularly, I mean they do more than just the dailys/monthlies.
Dontain is right just check the video
Not to be rude i’m glad that guy has woken up and i’m sure a lot of others are feeling as he is (i know i am) but hes only finding this stuff out now? REALLY???
Also a lot of what he’s saying is false and hes slightly muddled in my opinion yes our money goes to NCSOSFT duh! they own Arenanet, and no Ncsoft is not making Wildstar they are the parent company of Carbine (the guys making it) like Arenanet..
I agree Ncsoft or Anet has messed up this pass year (in my opinion), but a lot of what that video says is false and he seems pretty confused, which doesn’t help his case.. which actually bugs me because on some things i agree with him, just not for the same reasons..
Also my friends list is dead too, they’ve left..
50€ for game, 10€ for gemstore. 800+ hours of played time….good ratio, maybe it’s time for me to move on but I want that shiny legendary account badge first!
iam i the only one that think that the game gets a little repetetive at the EndGame content ? yeah the new content that will come " Dragon Bash " will be great but the game is 10 months old i think , Anet when are you guys thinking of making a expansion for the game ?
i read that you guys dont have any plans for a expansion but its getting repetetive and players are getting tired and tired of playing , most players now log 5 mins do the daily and leaveSo iam i the only one that thinks that the game needs a expansion right now ?
Stop asking for an expansion.
Ask for:
- Class balance
- Permanent content
- RNG/DR fixes
- Dungeon reworks
- New game mechanics
- Anything
…but don’t ask for an “expansion”!!!
When you ask for an expansion, what you’re saying is: “I like the current state of the game and want more of what we currently have!” It means you like getting kitten on by rng and broken mechanics and the current state of risk/reward – which should not be the case. This game has problems huge ones and simply slapping a band-aid of ‘expansion’ on it isn’t going to stop the internal bleeding fast enough.
This is how i think too, yes i want more content but i want the content we have now to be of a better standard first, then new content can flow, as it is now the game is seriously flawed and broken on many levels.. this needs correcting asap..
Sadly everything i read and see Anet doing tells me they are lost in the wrong direction for this game, yes i know its their game and if they want to do all that fine, but expect the consequences to come back at them…

I agree with Dontain about the current state of Guild Wars 2.
I brought many people over to this game and we’ve all pretty much stopped playing for now. I wanted to enjoy the game but I became bored after 2-3 months within the PvE side. We’ve tried everything the game has to offer for us guild wise but the interest just dwindled away slowly. The spark of excitement just began to fade from us in the PvE-aspect when seeing that the micro-content updates were only small additions.
The content that’s added is so small that it just doesn’t hold for those of us that enjoy doing events with a large guild. The reward system is incredibly lacking and it just feels really stagnant.
The key to making a great MMO is innovation and ArenaNet really needs to expand their mind. The normal type of tanks or healers may be gone but there is little coordination within dungeons. I’m not sure even if it’s good right now in it’s current state regarding classes. I keep hearing/seeing the same line from ArenaNet talking about even the social aspect of the game but it’s barely existent.
Remember, please be critical towards ArenaNet. Constructive criticism is the key for direction. It’s good every once in a while to say they did something good, but being critical more than complimentary is the answer. Players need to speak their mind more and try to lead GW2 in a better direction.

Because most of them must be 12 yrs with a lot of free time
If you are looking for something monotone to do everyday in order to progress i’d suggest to find a job
I cannot stand the idea of farming everyday to be in pair with the others, my strenght comes from my skills not my gear
You want something to do? Get better and do some PvP
i have some friends that play gw2 that doesnt come to the game anymore because they have nothing to do in the game
I think this is everyone’s friend list atm. Mine is a ghost town most of the time these days, but don’t get discouraged. Stick it out for a while longer, I have a feeling we may be getting some content with some meat on it coming down the pipe soon.
I try to give MMO’s the benefit of the doubt these days. I’m giving Anet a few more months of me doing the daily and WvW. By then they should have more in game for us to do I believe.
Maybe you just make friends that play the same way you do. And I make friends that play the same way I do, because my friends list hasn’t substantially changed at all…except that it’s grown. Most of the people here at launch are still here.
How much do they pay you by the way? I may change my tone if the price is right too.
If they paid me, I probably wouldn’t work this hard. That’s like asking a football fan how much the team pays him to be a fan. Silly question when you think about it.
This is exactly right, I have seen multiple people ask him the same question, I think Vayne is just an Anet employee using a basic email account to post on the forums. He never criticizes anything anything about Anet or NcSoft, just sticks up for them and he spends way to much time in the forums to be in game…
How much would you like to bet that I never criticism anything about the game or Anet?
Would you like to put money on this?
You are definitely an employee, are you just a moderator, or are you that kitten Colin, you do nothing but post on the forums so you have to be an employee, you post in almost every topic.
Freaking Anet Employee Troll, get back under your bridge.
Naw real Anet employees wouldn’t have the time/patience or energy to post as much as Vayne does!
It might benefit these forums if people stopped accusing other people of whatever unless they actually have proof. Accusations of someone being an employee or whatever are a cheap kitten y way to discredit someones opinion and doubly contemptible when the person accusing knows full well there is no way to prove either way. Stop doing it.
I would prefer to see Anet owning all the game instead of ncsoft owning a part of the game

……Okay dad.
50 cents a day for hours of entertainment is hardly a ripoff, unless you’re a tightwad. I calls it, how I see’s it!
This happen when you play too much. Its also the same with other MMO or games. If you played too much, you will become bored pretty fast (especially in PvE part).
In MMO there is no endgame. What is the endgame in WoW ? What is the endgame in Lineage ? What is the endgame in Terra ? etc.
I agree that GW2 need more exciting boss mechanic. Each boss is pretty unique. In addition of that, it needs bug to be fixed, class to be balanced, etc.
A better examination of past MMO’s definition of end-game versus a title such as GW2 may indicate the current problem. I’ve read ArenaNet’s statements in regard to end-game and they seem to avoid talking about it. I’m sorry but the cheesy response of saying the world itself and what you make of it is sort of ridiculous as an answer.
As for world or “mega” bosses they were done decently well but the rewards is just incredibly lacking. I’m not sure what’s so amazing about looting two bad rares from a chest. I’m not even saying that they should drop exotics but the rewards versus difficulty is really non-existent.
This game really needs a massive break-through regarding PvE and the addition of little micro-content is not the answer. A massive rework should be done on the PvE side. It’s hurting on so many levels that an expansion would be catastrophic. They need to re-work the functionality of the PvE side and the guild system.
They probably think fractals and ascended gear is endgame.
