What does Guild Wars 2 make you think about?
Nice scenery, forests, trees..that type of deal.
GW2 is a pretty game.
GW2 makes me think about being the drifting hero. When I read books or watch shows about a travelling hero writing wrongs and then leaving I think of this game.
I also see it as my way of finally getting over this shy period of play, but I enjoy running around too much to consider joining guilds.
GW2 makes me think about adventuring, it sort of makes me want to get out of the house. Though idk if that’s a good thing for the game lol Although I suppose that is better than Aion. Even though I dislike that game, when I was on a big hill irl I swear I had the urge to glide off… Luckily GW2 keeps my brain grounded :P

When I started with gw2 mostly it made me think about how well they did blending ideas from several different games into one. I was truly impressed with how they had taken so many features and perfected them I’m one game.
But since that time I have become rather bored and now when I play I mostly think about when the next mmo I want to play is coming out.
I will add any time I hear the Scorpions I think of Super Mario Bro 2. I was if into the Scorpions then and spent a lot of time bouncing on turtle shells rocking out :p

It reminds me of the MUD that I put thousands of hours into when I was a teenager…and which is still going actually. It gives me the same feeling that MUD did. Interesting that it took 10+ years for graphical online games to reach the functionality of the better text based games.
GWII makes me think about the future of MMOs.
ArenaNet has innovated on such a ridicolous long list of things that other MMOs suffer from, and I for one simply cannot get into MMOs now that don’t follow GWII’s way.
Wildstar, for example, I will never play. Exclamation mark quests is reason enough for me to not even give it a try.
And the world in the distance doesn’t look like concept art, which I also now need. I want to be able to take a screenshot anywhere I like and have it look epic.
GWII makes me feel at home.
And spoiled like Veruca Salt from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.

On top of that, are there things,or things that stimolate directly your senses that make you think of GW2?
Cause that’s a strange sensation…particuliar… that i couldn’t describe too well…it’s like looking to red but also smelling something wich is in your mind… ghurrnnr
Well I guess when I listen to Tame Impala it makes me think of GW2 because I listen to it while playing quite often:)

Why not join a guild that enjoys running around too much? lol

Please tell me Wildstar at least won’t have subscriptions?
If are doing subscriptions then I might as well leave the list for beta testing.
Guild Wars 2 -> Ncsoft money-tising -> Gaming world became a money draining sinkhole that steals your money for worthless games where developers can’t or don’t care about gameplay anymore as long as they get your $$$.

Wait, you think this is a new thing? Are you old enough to remember when EA was actually a company made up of top tier video game designers that just wanted to make quality products?
How much I miss the iconic places in GW1 and how amazing they could be here.
How great it is that GW2 is completely different from GW1.
Makes me think of football, another great game ruined by greed.
Will we hold Hills & Bay?
Or should we just concentrate on defending one and will someone please take those supply camps back, also build a couple of trebs and pound stonemist to rubble…

Get some scuba gear, you’ll be able to find those places.
It makes me wish my former game had the same animation and artwork.

Hello everybody, this might be just me,but whenever i try out something new,i tend to associate such new thing to something else.
Random example of that: a relatively old DS game makes me think of a good smell (actually true). So,do you have something that makes you think about GW2? or Vice-Versa?

GW2 makes me think about how older computer games were so good, they provided challenge, you had to THINK for some, practice for others but challenge was there. Now you get Achievements and pink cats…….
Game that failed to deliver what I expected and what developers promised.
Game that failed to deliver what I expected and what developers promised.
Maybe it didn’t, they are working really hard for it…………in Wildstar.
I do like guild wars 2, but I wish they’d concentrate a bit less on temporary event content and a bit more on adding some of the missing features of the game.
Like a home instance that actually has some significant personalization! Or the long hyped scavenger hunt for legendary precursors as an alternative to the endless mystic forge lottery we have now. Or guild halls, player housing, personal story trophies we can actually DISPLAY. Crossbows, Two-handed axes, etc..

Well that says a lot about the state of the game, doesn’t it? :p
It makes me think of decent graphics and bad Rift events. I will say the WvW is pretty dang fun, I just wish they didn’t neglect it so. Whr r u Orbs of Power?!
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.

Wildstar…man I don’t get the excitement for that game. Just the ultra cartoonish artwork is enough to keep me from ever trying it. Looks like something outa Sesame Street.

Bingo. I already played WoW.

I am sometimes thinking at the day’s when i played the good old final fantasy series,in my case from ff7 till ff10,also a free world to roam arround
heres something i posted a while ago,not that it matters to this op,but its good in some way’s i think.
End game, well….before i started playing mmo’s i was playing rpg’s, my most favorite game back then was squaresoft’s ff10 before square enix started to kitten up the others that followed. For casuals there was the storyline and some minigames to do ingame and that was it,for the hardcore gamers there was much more, as it almost was disigned only for them.:)There endgame began at getting the calestical weapen’s(that was imo easy)But then it all just begon for me"the endgame"Farming dark matters,Getting break hp limit,Getting break damage limit,Fighting the dark aeons,Finding hidden bosses completing the monsterarena and so on…For all this ya needed a kittenload of time, some effort to read things,to use your brains.
In Gw2 i treuly hope i will experience the same like i did in the game that i talked about. But at the end its all what you make of it,If you like it stay, if ya don’t like it move on.
The sad thing is i tryed to play ff10-2 but i was shocked of what enix had done completely kitten up the serries,The same now happend with the maxis simcity serries brilliant in the past but ea haves them now and look at sc5 not more than a facebook game now.
Wel thats said,i realy enjoy gw2 atm:)i hope ncsoft/arenanet doesnt kitten this one up cause of $$$
Lost potential. So much lost potential.
hehe i was just thinking on the op again,
When i walk or run pass beautiful lakes, rippling creek’s in gw2 i am sometimes thinking ahh let’s pull out my fishingpole sit down drink a potion
relax grab a fish
hehe

It doesn’t say anything about the game, but it says about the community’s opinion about the game…
Just try to find a good MMORPG after you reach level 80 in gw2…it looks all kitten!
Example: GW2 is fast, with fast, action combat, with pvp test areas and such amazing things i really like…now compare GW2 to these days’ mmorpgs
The secret world: more customization, but the action is much lower, and more boring, also people look like impaled .__.
Final Fantasy XIV: still in beta…turn based…i see the action missing here O.o’
Neverwinter: F2P bullcrap, the combat seems fast and intense enough, animations aren’t kitten bad,but it’s f2p…that holds me so much and…it feels wrong in general, may it be the art style
Darkfall: weird jumps, seems really boring to me
The elder scrolls online: seems good to me,let’s give it some time…
…If you look at others,GW2 will win over them all,so imo it’s a big success.
Yes,they should focus more on permanent content, expanding it,fixing bugs scattered around,or,fixing numbers to make up for the bugs that are present, they could focus on balance a bit more…it really feels like the devs are way too relaxed right now, going slow…but GW2 is still the best MMORPG out here.No doubt.

I play EQ1 more than I log in to GW2 right now. And that game is 14 years old. Everyone has a different opinion, all we can do is go play something else till they get the hint that they are running some of us off (not all of us, just some, I realize a lot of you like this game.)
GW2 would be a closed chapter for me if people still played DAoC. Let’s not completely derail this thread though. I did think of something else I like in this game, Dye selection!

I do not love this game,at least right now,i just have no fear to say that any mmo game released in 2012 and released in 2013 (until now) provides less innovation and content than GW2,so it’s like a “like me or wait for someone smart enough, wich will take time”.
