There are usually a lot of things to do on GW2, but on busy college related days I usually have to compact my play time into a efficient manner

Extremely busy day:
- run citadel of the flame dungeon path one
- run twilight arbor dungeon UP path
- run honor of the waves dungeon path 1

2-3 hours to myself:
- run citadel of the flame dungeon path one
- run twilight arbor dungeon UP path
- run honor of the waves dungeon path 1
- run a fractal set
- finish up daily

Complete freedom from school:
- run citadel of the flame dungeon path one
- run twilight arbor dungeon UP path
- run honor of the waves dungeon path 1
- run a fractal set
- finish up daily
- do most world bosses
- work on living story achievements
- wvw

On busy days, those dungeon runs add up with all that gold and mats. It’s a quick routine that I can live with. What is your GW2 routine ?

Log in, maybe level an alt for an hour or two, WvW with my remaining time, finish the daily if it’s not done yet, log off.

Right now, it is not logging in.

Every single day.

For some reason the game makes me not want to play it. I don’t even know why…

Log in and see what my friends and guild mates are up to and join in.

Log in.

Find a character in one of the racial cities, go into the home instance and mine candy corn and quartz. Deposit the candy corn, sell the quartz and buy more candy corn with the money. (I’m saving for the mini Bloody Prince.)

Log out of that character. Look at the select screen for a bit while I remember what each character is doing. Decide which one I want to play, log in and do whatever.

Right now it’s pretty much between my main (ranger) who is in LA doing Wintersday stuff and my ele who is in Kessex Hills doing the Toxic Aftermath stuff, but that will change soon when I’ve either run out of stuff to do or gotten bored with it.

Most days I’ll start by
-Finishing the daily
-AC 1,3
-CoF 1,2
-Kill whatever world boss is up at the time
-Frostgorge Farm for a bit (our guild [RegA] is transferring from Devona’s Rest to Dragonbrand and some guildies need help with raising the money)

If I’ve got a bit more time on my hands…
-WvW
-PvP Daily
-Do some Achievement hunting
-Temples

Dailies, run a couple of world boss events, crafting if I have the mats, gathering mats if I need something, LS content or WvW depending on time and mood.

If its a weekend and I have nothing but time it’s either go to Orr and kill risen, gather mats and run temple events or WvW if our guild isn’t doing something interesting.

- Log in: play Spvp on asura warrior hybrid and gank anyone in my path (literally, I can fight off 2-4 players a time).
- After a few matches, want to do some WvW
- Get ganked in WvW cause character isn’t level 80.
- Think about using one of my level 80s next time. Decide not to cause ‘need to level’.
- Log off and feel annoyed at the boring leveling system again.

Yeah… GW2 is the “best” competitive game… if only they had made everyone 80 in WvW like they did in SPvP.

What? Say it isn’t so. The increased presence of RegA recently had been letting me hope we could organize Devona’s resurrection around you guys.

Weekdays: Log in, do daily, wvw &/or living story, finish up with a heart poi vista and waypoint for second map completition.
Weekends: Log in, EVERYTHING till 6 in the am with guildies.

Log on, faff about, decide it’s time to log out, rush to finish my daily, wonder where the time went.

Log on, do dailies, maybe a few world bosses or events if they are up, then log off.

Log in.
Wander around Lion’s Arch a bit.
Jump up and down randomly, and/or run in circles.
Log off.

From an achievement hunter and completionist perspective.

Log in, check daily achievement category.

Plan on how to clear dailies in least amount of time by consolidating those that can be done together.

Execute them as planned.

E.G the categories for today are Maguuma Killer, Aquatic Slayer.
Queue up for TPVP solo queue, then go to any maguuma maps with lots of underwater mob, clear both dailies together whilst at the same time mining and harvesting along the way for daily gathererer,getting some slayer kill count(Krait slayer for example) as well as weapon kill count (Trident/harpoon gun/spear kills). If TPVP match pops up,stop the pve daily to do TPVP first.Aim for 5 solo queue wins whilst rotating between pve n pvp. Thus doing 3 PVE dailies,6 PVP dailies, 2 PVE permanent achivement progress(slayer and weapon),5 PVP permanent achviement progress(champ brawler,champ profession,champ slayer,normal slayer,normal profession wins) at the same time.

After all dailies are done. Carry out daily ascended crafting for the time gated materials. Use non lvl 500 crafters so as tolvl up along the way.

Clear inventory and replenish important consumables if necessary/tidy up bank and inventory.

Once all is done, log out and enjoy real life.

Yups, this game is more of a chore than an enjoyment for me, but I can’t help myself,i need to clear all dailies even though they are adding more and more of it and the living story achievements are gone every 2 weeks or so,that just makes me more paranoid and i have to clear all living story achievement on the release date itself if possible, same as monthly achievement. No one is forcing me but the completionist in me compels me to do it.

It is indeed so. Many of us have already made the move. I’m sorry to say it appears we’re bringing [LLVG] and [SA] with us as well. We’ve tried to do our best to bring DR back to life, but there just aren’t enough motivated players to do so. Dark Jean [OP] isn’t moving and will continue to golem rush everything if you want some WXP.

Aside from WvW, after failing to get enough player support to even getting Claw of Jormag down lately, there’s just nothing in Devona’s Rest worth staying for. [GASM] and [PRO] are on Dragonbrand (former DR guilds) and we’re looking forward to working with them again on an active, populated server.

I, for one, can’t wait to change up my daily routine to fit a server that has people who actually are motivated and know what they’re doing. Obviously not everyone on the server fits that description, but in the week since I transferred over, it’s been like a completely different game. Feel free to join us!

I can throw in some sPvP or WvW roaming in case I can’t log in during prime time. The daily is still a “must do”, so I did not list it.

Log in with all my alts I never use parked at JP’s for my emp frag and silver doubloon farming
Log onto my main and do all the ascended crafting mat crafting for the day
Check the daily pannel and click on all the super easy ones (usually 6-8 of them)
Rock out those dailies in like 20-30 minutes
Listen to my girlfriend complain about me playing
Play for about another half hour doing world bosses
Log off….. If I have additional time to play though…
Work on meta achievement (if it’s not something awful and boring looking)
Play a little WvW
Log off.

Do all world bosses with reset, finish my dailies if I didn’t already from the WB train, hop on WvW for a while or level my warrior, leave the game minimized and talk with friends on raidcall/read forums/play something else until I remember I left gw2 open and close it.

Go to TP, grab sales money and items, flip items, invest money.
Calculate projected wealth.
Dailies
Do dungeons, do world boss events.
Salvage blue weapons and all armor.
MF green and yellow weapons
Sell/Salavage resulting exotics (depending on value)
WVW
Go to TP, grab sales money and items, flip items, invest money.

Let me think. Lately I do 90% of the time PvP 10% dungeons/fractals/WvW. Except patch days which I only do the achievement

Zerg farming in FG or QD… or both.

I don’t have a routine and I don’t play every day. Far less burn out and much easier to find fun things to do in game when I’m playing. I login and just pick what seems fun at the time. No worry about dailies, no worry about ascended gear, no worry about getting the latest living story done, no missing out on real life because the game is low priority to me. The game is much more fun when it is easy to click logout without feeling stressed over missing out on something. It will be there next time I login and the worst that happens is I miss out on a laurel or living story reward I can still enjoy the game without anyway.

I check the forums a couple of times a week to see if they’ve rolled the game back to what it was at launch*. Haven’t logged in the game itself in a long while.

*I know they’ll never do this, but a guy can dream, can’t he?

And between those lose too much time by just standing around because I get distracted or have to take a crap

1. Check if anyone needs help in our guild, chat around, if not…
2. Do daily [gathering, kills, etc]
3. Check if anyone needs help in the zone I’m in, chat around..if not..
4. Repeat step 1 till daily done

From here on, I can do L.S. if it is interesting, or maybe refine my crafting, or log out. It’s a pretty laid back approach, always fun for me, I don’t feel the grind.

Note: helping guildies/others can come in the form of dungeon, wvw, PoI, skill point, or clearing certain zones. Or it could just be answering questions, or sending some items…

log on- see who I feel like playing.

Run some events, do some world bosses , some map completion, level an alt, chat to friends when they are on.

If I have time I go hang out in Orr for a bit and then hit Southsun for some sun and Karkas.

If it looks interesting I check out the LS

Log in everyday to do my long daily then log off. Simple.

- Harvest the two nodes in my home instance
- Pick the easiest to do dailies and finish the daily

1-2 hours to myself:
- Harvest the two nodes in my home instance
- Visit all my characters that are parked at JP’s
- Finish the daily with the character I’m leveling at the time

Complete freedom from work
- Harvest the two nodes in my home instance
- Visit all my characters that are parked at JP’s
- Finish the daily with the character I’m leveling at the time
- Continue playing with that character for a few more levels
- Visit Orr for a few more T5 (always hoping for, but never getting T6) materials.
- Getting a few more percentages on map completion on another character
- Getting a few more achievements done for the current meta
- Do anything else that comes to mind, with guildies.

I go to WvW and fight after that i go to sleep

Depends on time/how I feel or whether I am invested in a “project” (eg legendary, ascended, alt equipping etc)

If it’s an evening, I’ll try and rope guildies into something, otherwise I’ll usually pick a toon and go wandering and see where it takes me – I like just going off adventuring with no aim sometimes. If I’m short on time eg 30-45mins, then I’ll burst dailies and log off.

This is for now. I’ve decided to wait with leveling more alts, so I just run with one of my 2 l80s

If I don’t like the current LS update, join WvW for however long I have free time left – usually that’s not a lot though.

people are so structured, I just login and think, right what do I want to do, and what are my guildies up for?
At some point during my playtime when I’ve heard the achievement ding a few times, I check the hero panel for the state of my daily achievement and play a bit more focused towards completing it. If there’s an active LS category; I’ll try to complete those in good time before end of patch.
Sometimes I even log back out after logging in and play something else that evening and return feeling fresh the next day.

→ Do WvWvW if there are people/good commander/s (optional)
→ Dailies
→ Farm champ on FG
→ Run 1-2 dungeons
→ Join guild on guild missions/rush/bounty
