What's your daily routine?
I tend to look at the new stuff, see what’s going on and interesting there. There’s plenty of stuff I’m enjoying in Dry Top right now. I enjoyed the new stories, but I really like the way they have the zone set up. Essentially the more events done before the next sandstorm, the higher the tier you get to, and the cheaper the rewards you can by with the geodes you’ve farmed. It’s fun to try to get a zone to Tier 5 (usually we only hit tier 4). It takes a lot of coordination.
Beyond that, I check in with the guild and see what everyone else is doing.
But since there’s new content every two weeks, I’m seldom bored.

Lately I just log, do the 3 daily pvp matches, gather some iron and plat, craft a deldrimor steel and a damask if I have enough silk, and log off.
On Saturdays I do the guild missions, on Sunday I do the achievements of the LS.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You guys don’t seem to have a lot fun :-p
I log in to do the new events (dry top at the moment), and several world bosses.
In the meanwhile I finish my daily.
If I have time left I also go gathering in several areas.
And sometimes pvp.
Unfortunately I completed the ps and world map and I don’t care much for alts :-)
Usually I start off a day by running 2-7 dungeons on necro or ele (necro more these days cuz I’m a lazy leech). If I have time after that I’ll do a bit of solo Q on my necro, mesmer, or ranger. Then I do tequatl at reset but I get there early to get into a guild organized run and AFK while watching youtube videos or choreographing tap dance routines until teq is up. Then I WvW with my guild right after that for 2-3 hours and then I usually log off and go to sleep.

If I complete the daily great, if not, oh well
I honestly don’t have anything resembling a routine. I like to do a bit of everything. Any given day, I might:
- go run around in the new current map
- level an alt
- do some story missions
- a dungeon
- a few rounds of PvP
- a bit of crafting
- a few cycles of Frostgorge champ farm or Cursed Shore
- chip away at my world map completion
- pick a random achievement to polish off
- WvW
- Do something with guild (guild missions, fractal, weekly exploration event)
Sometimes I will log on and am just paralyzed from choice, not knowing what I want to do. It’s one of the things I really like about GW2, there is so much variety. In past MMOs, it always felt like there was one or two “chores” on the table that made up the entire game:
- If not max level, then level.
- If max level, queue for dungeons (or pvp) while doing daily quests
- Done? Then log off.
- Check friend list for my BFFs
- If party members want to do something specific —> this (could be dungeons, fractals, jumping puzzles or living world or something completely different)
- If new content —> that
- Boss train, home instance nodes
- Finish PvE dailies
- If I can be bothered, PvP (still unlocking all reward tracks)
- If bored, work on monthlies or slayer / weapon master achievements or whatever else
- Craft
I don’t do all of this every day, and some days I don’t play at all. I’d say that for most of the week I do PvE dailies and if I have the time, boss fights, and once or twice a week I do “big stuff” together with friends.

Log in, switch around my parked characters (all at different JP’s, let’s just say I finished the monthly JP in about 5 minutes :p) and the one that’s harvesting the home grown nodes.
Then it depends on how much time I have, what the daily is, and how much I feel like playing, whether I switch to my current leveling character or to my main (who does the daily so much faster).
I prefer to stay away from fractals, dungeons and the larger world bosses during weekdays. (don’t need the extra frustrations….)
It varies. Generally, I do Living Story stuff (which currently means running DT events and hunting chests).
I’ll always hit my home instance for gathering, do a quick circuit for iron too.
Been doing key farming lately so I’ll usually get 1-2 runs of those in a day.
My buddy recently hit and geared an 80 so if we’re not doing LS stuff, we’re running dungeons together.
Complete daily if the above did not, but it usually does.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
The only routine part of me playing is the first couple of minutes:
- Log in, look for a character I left in a home city
- Log into that character, get my copper logging axe from the bank
- Go to the home instance and mine candy, quartz and sprockets
- Wonder how whacking a machine with a pick axe is supposed to yield functional parts
- Go to the TP and pick up any gold/items
*Deposit excess quartz/blade shards, mining pick and items from TP in the bank
After that I go back to the character select screen to choose which character to actually play. I have 5 who are all at different levels and points in the story and usually scattered around Tyria so it’s just a matter of deciding what I want to do today. Especially since the Living Story is permanent so I don’t have to worry about doing it before it’s gone.
Some days it’s personal story or living story, other days map completion or WvW, or I’ve recently stated PvP, or whatever my guild are doing.

1) Do Dailies
2) Enter EOTM and if it’s empty like it has been these last 2 weeks because we’ve been Frostreach twice in a row and outmanned 24/7 whilst being ganged up on by baglands and overgrowth, I logout
Not really much to look forward to when anet won’t fix wvw/eotm rewards and the fact that when you’re frostreach, you might as well just give up because you’re always outmanned for some reason when you’re on that side.

I try to log in once a day, for dailies. If I’m trying to grind out something (like Dry Top, for my fossil staff, which I finally accomplished and entirely happy I finally finished), I’ll likely kill two birds with one stone. If I need some cash or mats, I’ll jump into EotM and run that. But if I’m just not feeling the vibe, I’ll head to my favorite dailies spot in Mount Maelstrom, which will knock out the majority of dailies in one session. Takes about 30 minutes.
I’m not a dungeon runner. I’m just not that coordinated. I’m a couple of PoI’s in Arah from my Dungeon Master title, which has taken me forever to get close to finishing, but I don’t have the heart to run that dungeon again.
Log in 20 min before Tequila, kill him, do another few bosses after him.
Kill Karka.
Do some Dungeons for gold.
Exchange Gold for Gems, on good offer.
Next gem item is Bank Expansion. And then I dont know what should be my goal in game. I have all the dyes, A lots of skins.
Guild is currently on summer vacation.
Having a daily routine will kill the entire point of playing a game. While I tend to have set things I do, I don’t always do them in any order and I often let this or that slide. The reasons I left this game twice, once for 6 months and again for 8 months is, it becomes tedious and unfun when you find you are in a routine. I am going for at least 3 months of play time this go round, lets see how long I last before I find myself in a routine.

Well, I log in and immediately go to any of the noob areas and wander around. When I find somebody who is obviously green I track them for a bit and then offer assistance. If they want it, that’s great – if they do not, I respect that and move on. But I act to help them with any questions, assist with kills, tell them how to make money, and of course impart lore as I believe that when you are playing the role you ought too, in character, at all times. When I’m not helping others I’m off collecting or may take in a bit of high-level hunting in Orr or Southsun Cove.
