Had 1700 gold once and one day I said to myself, “Self, spend it all. Let it burn!” So I bought all the cultural armors I could use then bought some more weapon and armor skins. Then used up all my karma buying more weapon/armor skins. Ended up with a few silver and a little bit of karma. (And 2 titles). And a bunch of skins to play with.

I’d buy cultural armor for my charr, norn, and sylvari.
Then I’d buy a character customization for each.

I’d fully expand my account to its maximum. 8-10 character slots, all bag slots for each character, full bank tabs + maxed out guild storage, full makeover for every character, and then I’ll get my materials for my legendary and ascended gear for my main and my other two female humans if anything is left.

1k isn’t remotely enough for that. 100g ~ 800gems

I would buy Tooth of Frostfang. I really want to make that legendary. the rest of the gold would go to T6 mats to help me make it sooner.

I think I would waste it all on the Gem Store.

Me personally like how someone mentioned, more equipment for making random builds, but my suggestion for this “person” which I think is you, hold onto the gold until something comes along that you actually want, otherwise you wouldn’t say I don’t know cause you would’ve gotten it already

buy skins. Some of them are insanely priced in some instances but are good skins.

Haha I do that sometimes; I tend to waste pockets of 70g in the MF so sometimes I transform into a quaggas and sit on a rock and send 15-20g to people who pass me and email them saying the Mighty Quagg Quagg bestows his blessing on you. 3/10 people send the gold back. Makes me sad

I have no interest in legendary gear and I’m only interested in skins, but I hate overpaying for things even if I can afford them (yes, yes, I’m a miser), so I’d just sit on it and wait for reasonably priced skins I do like to show up.

Given the pricing trend of gem store skins and the rampant speculation in TP that’ll probably be never though.

get the rest of ascended for my main and gear up all my alts in ascended as well

Keep it on me, and spend Gold only when I feel like spending Gold. Kinda like things work for me right now. It’s a good sum of Gold, but I don’t have anything I particularly want to pursue anymore, not excessively so anyways. I accumulate overall more than I spend these days.

Finish exotic collection and buy they minis I want. Also, buy mats for ascended armour.

If you were looking at crafting a legendary, 1000 gold is not a lot. Considering you would need to either buy lots of items to throw in the mystic forge or buy the precursor outright. Add mats to the equation.
Gold can be converted to gems allowing players to buy items anything – almost anything they desire in the gem store.

Anet should put in an in game lottery.

Everyone has the option to give 50s-1g every daily reset, and at the next reset those funds are split between 5-10 people. (depending on how many people end up participating)
