When are you eligible for a refund for GW2?
I don’t see why you deserve a refund, after playing the game for 600 hours.
It’s absolutely despicable to expect a refund after 600 hours. You don’t deserve a refund regardless of what “gamebreaking changes” you think occurred.
If you want to quit, do so, don’t steal money from devs who did nothing wrong.

I’m sorry op but after 600 hours played you definitely do NOT deserve a refund.
What Jrunyon.3012 said above me pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter as well.
Take it easy moral crusaders. Do you mind staying on-topic, please?
Whenever you want. It is completely up to you to get that refund. Put a question in the accounts subforums.
However, you won’t gain much sympathy from the General subforums.
At 600 hours played… perhaps you should consider leaving them a tip on your way out the door.

It is on topic. Expecting a refund past 20 hours is the limit my morals will allow me to go. This is subjective for different people, but 600 hours? Really? Please tell me you aren’t actually considering doing that?

The only reason I am wondering is whether it’s possible is because so that I can buy a new copy with it. I just have posted a thread in which I describe a some sort of compulsion I have. Feel free to comment.
I’m not sure what their policy is on refunding now but I have heard of them refunding accounts in the past that have played for hundreds of hours over several months. I expected them to not refund accounts older than 90 days, since that’s the limit of someone being able to force a return through a chargeback, but they do anyways. Not sure why they do it.
I would be surprised if they gave you a refund, since it is a day 1 account and has been used far past what should be considered an acceptable trial period. They probably will however, for whatever reason they have in doing so. Blizzard for example had the same limitless refund policy, but only for a short while before changing it to be based on age of the account or time played, whichever was highest.
You can contact support https://support.guildwars2.com, to attempt it.

not a chance… thats value right there…
Wait – aren’t you the same person with the ‘how do I get a 2nd copy of gw2’ topic going?
…
The refund policy as clearly stated in the terms of service is a maximum of 6 months after purchase. absolutely no refunds will be given after that time.
“Yo, I ate this entire fillet mingon [sp?] and I want a refund. No it was delicious. I just want a refund.”

I think his problem is with the recent changes
He paid for life, but could enjoy “just” 600 hours of the game they sold him, now he feel like this is a different game (and I don’t think he’s the only one, a lot of gw1 players left for the same reason).
Anyway I doubt they will refound you OP, uninstall is the way if you don’t like it anymore, and eventually come back when (and if) things will be to your liking

I think i read somewere that refound is possible only if you didnt play more then 599 hours, so tough luck^^
But seriously.. this op is just a joke.
nobody is wondering why you want a refund to buy a second copy of it?

Really? A refund at 600 hours? So, assuming you paid full price…10 hours per 1 dollar of entertainment? Really? Hell, a movie at the theaters is like 10 dollars for an hour an a half.
Get over yourself. You’ve gotten TONS of time for your money.
I bought my car 4 years ago.
I’m getting a bit bored of it so I will ask for a refund.
Do you think I’ll get it?
lose a pip,win 2 pips,lose a pip,lose a pip…………..-

If your European like me you’re entitled to a full refund
Get a life, or better yet, a job.
I bought this pixel a few months ago, I had fun with the pixel. However I’m now done with the pixel and would like to return it. Please enclose my refund, also if you know how I can get in contact with my car manufacturer who made my car in 2000, I’d also like a refund for that too. Thanks very much – Loyal Customer

Lately I have been facing a little frustration with the game. This regarding to having many characters.
Anyone else get the feeling that you are somehow compelled to play, let’s say, all 8 of your characters but somehow feel like you want to start again with a brand new char because of how much of a time-vampire it becomes and everything sort of become loose and out of control so that it doesn’t live up to what you are playing for in the first place?
Now I have been thinking of getting a second account of GW2 and just having one character to play through all the content and not worry about any alternate characters.
What are your opinions and views on this and is it a normal feeling to have?
Oh, I get it now.

I was wondering that
Honestly, if he wants to have a single character to play instead of 8 different ones, there IS the option of deleting a character, or all of them.
But if he actually wants a refund…. well, I hope ANet gets a laugh out of any request like that. Sadly, they probably would refund him, because ANet is generally awesome.

You can delete your characters and only have one to focus on if you can’t simply ignore them. I guess I don’t understand the problem.
May want to get that OCD checked out…

There’s a rumor that someone, somewhere is making games that only have (one) character in them. But obviously I don’t go around believing everything i read on the interwebs, so I’m not really sure. If its not just a rumor though, maybe he could try those.
Or the deleting characters thing, that could work too.
