I think the Feature Patch will be on May 31st.

Allie Murdock said the patch is not in June.
They said they will not make the changes during WvW Season because that will impact the Season.
May 30th is the last day of WvW Season 2.
May 31st is not in June, so what Allie Murdock said still holds true by 1 day.

This is accurate.

Either they were lying about not making balance changes during a WvW season or the next content patch will be May 31st.

The other possibility is July 1st for the feature patch since that is not june and not during the WvW season, but that seems really far away.

Guys forget May 31th as some pathc release date. Its Saturday. They dont do updates at Saturday.
And they said no update in June. So July is next.

I thought they just said they wouldn’t be making changes to WvW during Season 2, not that they wouldn’t change anything at all in the entire game.

If the feature update doesn’t affect WvW it could still come during that time.

And if it will affect WvW then I agree, probably 31st May.

So this was the first update after March 4th. I would expect the feature patch before WvW Season 2, or after it — but not during the season. If they take the tournament seriously, then they will not introduce potentially imbalance issues mid-tourney.

And then when problems arise, and they can’t release it at X date – I presume you wouldn’t come on the forums and rage?

Technically it could come out next week (March 25th).

They tried that… Account bound Wxp… New legendary weapons… legendary trinkets… 500 cooking… 500 jewelcrafting… precursor scavenger hunt…

All those had an ETA of 2013…. We are already 25% through 2014 and none of those things are even being hinted at as being done… the ETA would be just as meaningless as not telling us anything.

I don’t know what’s going to be in it. But I do know there’s no way they could put everything everyone has asked for into one patch because even if they started back around Christmas that would be far too much to develop, so someone’s going to be disappointed.

It would make more sense to release features that will mainly interest PvE players during the WvW season when at the moment it looks like there won’t be anything else, then put WvW stuff into the same patch as the start of the next Living Story, which will probably be all PvE.

ANet is trying their darndest to make sure this game tanks. Terrible class balance in PvP and WvW, and balance changes are now on a 6month patch schedule?

Balance before season 2 then make minor changes along the way. Seriously it’s like anet wants people to quit the game.

But we can’t quit the game, because we will have our accounts forever (in matters of this games existance).

No matter how many players stop playing, ANet will still count them towards something in their favour… 4.5 Million copies sold or stuff like that, even if 4 Million accounts are deserted.

March 25th, if it’s true that they wouldn’t put a patch out during the WvW season for balance concerns. Since they’ve always said WvW wasn’t designed to be balanced however, I don’t see why that would stop them.

Due to having “too much to talk about”, their ready up stream is moving to a 1 week schedule for the next 4 weeks. I’m assuming they’ll detail the upcoming PvP changes, which is usually done prior to the patch. This would mean the patch wouldn’t be until late April at the earliest.

(It’s not too long after this patch) Disregard any rumors about the feature build being months away. We’ve worked so kitten this build, we are here struggling to be patient just as you all are :/

My guess is April 1st with the next SAB release. Anyways, they are doing huge announcements over the next 3 consecutive weeks that ArenaNet genuinely seem excited about (at least that is what they said on Ready Up! last week).

I’ve gone back to D3 as well. It’s a breath of fresh air from what the game used to be. I don’t care if it took them 2 years…..they did it and that’s all that matters. Still waiting to see that from Anet.

Because WvW Season 2 is running from March 26th to May 30th.
And they said before they would not introduce huge changes to gameplay during a WvW Season because it could have some side effects on the Tournament.

ya look at GW2… its improved leaps and bounds from all the xpac like features being constantly added… /end sarcasm

No true builld/character diversity in PvE at all (zerk is all that is needed for any class to beat anything in PvE)
PvP is in shambles
WvW is basically whoever has the bigger blob wins
Temporary content and gemstore items to fill your hearts content though

Yea it took blizzard 2 years, but its lookin better with D3 RoS

Right now, I have no reason to believe this feature patch we are waiting for in july will fix the majority of the problems that plague the game. I will gladly eat some crow if it does, but theres no reason to believe it will

The only major release between launch and now was WoW: Pandas. Do you remember what happened when Pandas launched? The game almost died. Population fell by 40%, and sales plummeted. The devs panicked and quickly launched fractals + ascended gear to draw players back. It mostly worked and the population went back up and stabilized.

Now the drought of games is over. D3 is coming out, then ESO, then Wildstar, then WoW. Anet needs to have a proportional response to that or we will have a repeat of Novermber 2013…

Ascended gear got introduced around 1 year after MoP and the population didn’t get affected by much at all, the game was at it’s peak at that time. MoP released 1 month after GW2 and it bearly had an effect.

D3 isn’t an MMO, ESO and Wildstar are just decent MMOs and WoW, again? There is no quality-titles to compete with GW2. If players want to give up on the game and go to play crappier games, it is thier choice and WoW have been there for 10 years, if u like the concept of it, you shouldn’t be here.

No.

Because they painted themselves into a corner by launching the new season so quickly there is not room to get the feature patch out before the game is locked in gameplay stasis for 2 more months.

Maybe it’ll hit next week, but right now the picture is bleak, and its bleak because of the news about WvW Season 2.
