Where is Dhuum?
He’s prob hiding in the shadows like a scared little mouse like the rest of the human gods did once the dragons awoke. Previously he was imprisoned in the UW, but it required the players to constantly aid the reapers to keep him there. Without us being able to access UW I imagine he escaped, saw some dragons, pooped his skirts, and ran away like the rest.
He’s most likely dormant/sealed up. As far as we know, for Dhuum to grow strong enough to break out again would require a tremendous amount of deaths in the underworld and we currently can’t visit the place.
I am saving all my skillpointzorzs just in case they ever decide to make this a Super Elite Skill. It can have a cooldown of one week, idc
As I understand it, Dhuum was one of the original members of the Human Pantheon in Guild Wars 1 & 2. At that time he was the God of Death. Due to his status as a Fallen God, it was possible to face and defeat him in Guild Wars 1, just like it was possible to face and defeat the other fallen God, Abaddon.
Both Abaddon and Dhuum are very likely classified as “Dead” by the time of Guild Wars 2 as far as the Canon of the universe is concerned. In Abaddon’s case it was because Kormir absorbed his divine essence without absorbing his personality. And in Dhuum’s case it is because the players defeated him quite soundly on multiple occassions. Either Dhuum is dead, or he is imprisoned in such a way as to make him unable to attack the player base again until such time that the Developers see fit to reintroduce him.
That said, I did always think that having a player whose account has been banned get reaped by the God of Death was a nice effect, even if it is a bit of overkill.
RE Dhuum being scared of the Elder Dragons: I doubt it. This is the same god who had the power to banish accounts from Tyria for eternity. I doubt he would be scared of a meesely little dragon.

“Obtaining a legendary should be done through legendary feats…
Not luck and credit cards.”
the managing to “repeatedly break free” was the entire point of the Underworld Dungeon of Guild Wars 1. That has absolutely no bearing on his status in Guild Wars 2. I stand by my statement that until we hear otherwise from the Dev’s, he can likely be assumed to be considered a “Dead” God right along with Abaddon.

It was put there as a reference for those who are too lazy to look up who Dhuum is/was, but not lazy enough to ask here for someone else to divulge information.
smh.

If dhuum escaped the underworld, he would have defeated all dragons without even swinging his scythe once.
He made a bet with Grenth that he’d beat him in tic-tac-toe, and Grenth betted that he’d beat Dhuum. Of course neither knew that it always ends in a draw.
The last we heard from either was ‘You have Dhuumed us both….’

ya I meant as far as a Anet team interaction w/the community concerning permanent & temp bans, possibly reintroduced through a LS. Could care less about the lore…more about “Dhuum” involvement in day to day play.

or a really offensive player to get banned
He is currently embroiled in an eternal battle of Twister against his archenemeses (and former band-mates) Bill and Ted.
not sure about Dhuum, but i hope Palawa Joko and his Undead minions will make it to GW2…
