[GWAM] and [LUST]
Mess with the best, die like the rest.
You are wanting a gear stats that may be against what Anet is trying to do with Ascended Gear.
Perhaps, but only ANET can say that and that is what people are asking.
Your opinion, regardless of your insistence otherwise, is just that and not worth any more than anyone else on these forums. Your view on what ANET should and should not tell us, is also just an opinion.
Actually funny enough I have not stated my own personal opinion in any of this. My opinion is that they should tell us cause i am curious to know what their plan is.

Badumtss. Exactly what I’ve been trying to get at…does that give me the right to call you impatient? Absolutely not. But thank you for wanting to know as well.

Oh I can change the title…woops. Edited the initial post to be reflective of the title change.
they are missing because probably they gonna implement an option to upgrade the exotics that has those nomenclatures to ascended via the mystic forge.

Do you have any sources to back this up? Why wouldn’t they just add it purchasable through the fractals/laurel merchant? That would definitely be the most efficient and time-saving option. It would also be beneficial to people who preemptively completed their fractal dailies in preparation for the (eventual) release of said gear.

Actually everything you posted was your opinion and overall the thread would be a better thread if you had just provided us with the above noted opinion to start with.

Lets not distract this thread from the original issue. Please add the missing desired stat combos that are absent from the Ascended vendors.
I suppose they want to “slowly” add in ascended gear to “slowly” phase out exotic gear.
Adding new gear phase out old gear and content. So that is why they add in it “slowly”. They dont’ want people to stop doing the old content, and other player get upset their hard earned exotic get phase out so quickly.
They are probably not there because you will be able to craft it in the future. The question is how long it’ll take them to add it. I dont’ think very soon, since if you can craft ascended gear easily, that will make many of their other content obsolete.

You are missing the point.
This game isnt designed for the Holy Trinity: Tank/healer/Dps roles.ArenaNet literarly made it clear about that.
You can costumize ur character how you want to play. However, The moment people start looking for Healers, is the moment you start excluding certain classes, bringing back the Holy Trinity is not the asnwer.
Are you even reading what you are typing? I’m asking this as a genuine question.
The holy trinity is still there, however not in a classic sense (classic meaning it is essential). ANet made it clear that you can play however you want and still be helpful to your team. We have dps builds, we have bunker builds, so why is it a crime to want to play as a healer? It is impossible to just stand there and heal (which I don’t think you quite grasp). The whole idea behind cleric gear is to maximize the healing you give yourself and allies. Its more of a survivability build than anything else, and one that takes finesse to pull off effectively too.
What you and most people still dont understand is, Tank Build doesnt make you play a Tank Role. Support Build doesnt make you play a Healer role. You dont benefit the party as effeciantly playing it that way because that’s forcing the Holy trinity into a game not designed for the Holy Trinity.
Yes, Play it how you want but that doesnt mean force other mmorpg holy trinity methods into a game that isnt designed for it. Then suddenly complain about it.
I’ve played with tons of players who think this way and dungoens usually turn out sloppy. But I played with players who knew what they where doing and usually things where running way smoother without Tank/support players who claim the holy tinity is there…
The Holy Trinity is gone. I assure you.
If you have a support build, then that’s fine, but note that you’ll be gimping yourself in other areas.
You’ll be more benifit to the team by working with Damage/Control/Support mechanics and creating your own Personal Build that works for you. Not some Online guide of what builds work for others.
There are people who claim Engineer is weak or broken, Yet, My Engineer is one of the greatest class that does excellent in combat. The problem isn’t the Combat mechanics or Armor/gear. It’s the player’s lacking the knowledge in not understanding them.
Here is a quote:
“It’s underpowered and broken if you dont understand it”
“Anything is Overpowered if you keep losing to it”
You dont have to destory your Support Build, but adding different stats to help for parts you lack will deffinantly make u a better and more useful player. That’s for sure.

While giving up the stats that make you support better to dps more? No thanks. And again, that’s your opinion and why are you trying to force your opinion on others by saying they’re “gimping” themselves out by playing a full support? I play full support just fine all the time and dungeon runs are significantly smoother with me in them. You cannot overgeneralize your experiences with a balanced build then claim that specialized builds are gimped. Again, you’re not adding anything of importance to the original topic…create another thread please if you want to continue voicing your opinion on this subject matter.
Why is the items/gear team so bad in this game?
Ya, where is my mf/ boon duration / crit dmg gear.
Guardian and Elementalist healing builds have been on Anets watch list for quite some time. Consider the lack of cleric’s ascended gear an indirect nerf meant to address the concerns of many WvW players about elementalists and guardians being able to reset fights every 10 seconds. Because everyone will want ascended gear to stay competitive, the introduction of the ascended line sans the cleric option is probably Anet’s quick solution to the vexing problem of fixing those powerful healing builds; now they won’t need to delve into the perilous and time consuming task of redesigning the class skills and traits from the ground up.
I mean no offense, but according to who? There’s no “indirect nerf” at all, since we are not forced to use Ascended gear outside the Fractals, and our current exotic Healing gear is BETTER than all available options with Healing Power. In fact, I have never heard that Healing Power is OP-most threads bash Healing Power endlessly, deeming it an “useless stat”. And having maximum Healing Power means we are sacrificing something else (usually either hit points, defense, power, and/or critical chance) so there are drawbacks to having such a big Healing Power, even in Ascended form when finally available. We have NO evidence that the developers plan to never implement Cleric’s or other common stat combos in the future, and much less that they want to steer away people from “uber” Healing Power builds (which don’t exist in the first place-I don’t even use maximum Healing Power nowadays, while do still focus on high heals-around 1398-9-and support)-the same would apply to Knight’s, Carrion’s, etc. so that conspiracy theory holds no water.
In short, that you find healing builds difficult to counter doesn’t mean that ANet agrees with you and is looking into eliminating them altogether. Honestly, most people HATE healing power (probably the reason why it’s not have yet been implemented, though that does not explain the lack of Knight’s or the addition of the other odd stat combinations), so I can’t see what is so “OP” about Healing Power at all, and much less that the developers would agree with you.
There’s no way Healing Ascended Gear will create any “Healer role”, so don’t worry about that.
It’s a hypothesis and not a conspiracy theory, and it’s according to whom, not who. The concern over cleric’s gear has nothing to do with creating a healer role. Do you play WvW or sPvP? I’d think not from your post. Also, you’re making a lot of assumptions, among which is the erroneous statement that I have a hard time countering healing builds.
The fact is my main is an elementalist, and I can tell you from experience healing power scales incredibly well with evasive arcana and signet of restoration builds. The most popular ele build currently is an all cleric’s gear d/d build. Did you know that?
I heal for over 2200 just for attuning to water, and gain another 2400 health from dodging. That’s 4,600 without using a heal skill every ten seconds. It basically resets the damage anyone does to me. Whether you believe it or not many people have raised concerns about the healing capabilities of eles and guardians. Bunker eles and guardians are also on Anet’s watch list. They have posted about this several times. In the last state of the game address there were even suggestions from top tier players that evasive arcana undergo a redesign, removing the heal while keeping the condition clear.
You’re right that we don’t know whether cleric’s gear will be implemented in the future, but I think I can make an educated guess that they won’t increase the stats that are already on exotic cleric’s gear until they think of a way to redesign how healing scales on those two professions.

Yeah, there’s no Knight’s ascended gear, which means there’s no incentive for me to get ascended gear on my Guardian, since that’s his stat distribution.
I honestly don’t know why certain gear sets were left out.
This has bugged me as well! I wear cleric’s sets and apoc sets a lot and not having a higher level of them has been frustrating. Luckily I was able to settle on Luna and Solaris to be a more balance character. I would like to see these added in the future however.
I’ve settled on the Soldier’s rings for my build, but will not be picking up an amulet. I have absolutely no incentive to do so.
Definitely in agreement with anything regarding, if nothing else, just adding the rest of the stat combos people use to the existing ascended vendors.
Adding the missing sets can’t really be that hard, now can it? If the devs just ran out of images and names for the stuff, let them just go with (non-Unique) classic [prefix] [eq type] of [suffix] naming methodology and some generic icons.
If the lack of items is not just a result of not enough T6 mats (for mystic forge backpack recipees) or plain forgetfullness however, but a design decision, an announcement is absolutely necessary. And it is needed now, not in half a year.
Missing ascended gear? There’s too much ascended gear. Every piece of ascended gear shouldn’t have been in the game to begin with.
I had expected the “30 Ascended Amulets” to be repeats…
But, I did expect at least 15 different kinds. (As I wasn’t expecting “utility infusions” to get their own slot)
I knew 30 different stat combinations was just too good to be true.

I’d agree with you there. However, we have the Fractals to grind currently.
Though, it seems like the Fractals and Agony (as a whole) were de-emphasized with the latest update.
None of the Laurel rewards offer any sort of infusion. You have to play the Fractals for that.
From what we know about the Triforge Pendant, any of the amulets (including utility versions) can take a versatile infusion… but can’t currently be infused via the Mystic Forge.
Now it seems like Ascended gear is purely just BiS, and infusions are going to trend towards more of the “GET MORE GOLD/MF!” There’s no need for agony resist if you ignore the fractals (which, the more I play them, the more tired of them I become.)

Which, conveniently, removes MF as a replacement stat from items. Unfortunately, a.net still missed an opportunity there.
As for Fractals … I kinda like the idea. Most fractal instances are pretty fun, the boring part is in repeating them ad nauseam. By not overdoing them, I know I can keep them interesting. I’m planning to get my infused back and ring so I have +10 AR. That’s enough to enjoy fractals up to 20.
changing amulet and 2 rings for solaria/lunaria and eye of abaddon I’m loosing 173 healing power. That seriously sucks.
Please give us cleric and other possibilities
So strange. Knight’s stats is widely used, (yet far less popular than berserker) and completely ignored. It’s hardly OP either. Power, Prec, toughness. ridiculous it wasn’t included.
Right now the game is in a really bad place in terms of ascended gear. Either play a certain style (read: glass cannon) or be forced to use substandard gear.
And to any devs reading this. You don’t even need to make 2-3 copies of the same item so I can choose an infusion type. Seriously, one piece would do me fine.
Actually, knight’s was (toughness power precision). As for the jewelry with knight’s statistics — emerald, the amulet, rings and earrings also had (toughness power precision), but the jewels had (precision power toughness), which was something that I liked and fit my build perfectly.
(the bolded stat is the primary stat)
