The image has the letters “TA” in it. It’s likely that it’s the release for the remade Twilight Arbor dungeon. I remember recently, an Anet employee stated that TA was high on their list of dungeons that need a remake, so it makes sense that it’s first.

At first glance I thought it a sylvari, but then realized it’s a human!

That can’t be Caithe. Looks way too human.

Its a concept art so most often they look like humans (Rox artwork during Queen’s Jubilee anyone? We even thought it was centaurs), and the green patterns on the face and green pallette used makes it clear that it is a Sylvari similar to this pic of Caithe:

And the event involves spawning 100 mobs and the everyone groups up and zergs them, them more spawn and the zerg kills them again and gets lots of loot, then fights SB as a zerg and kills her pretty easily, and then gets more loot, and then repeats it in an hour.

You don’t change race just because it’s concept art. Definitely a human.

We’ve had too many sylvari in LS as it is. Trahearne, Canach, Scarlet

We have had 2 Charr (Evon Gnashblade and Rox), 1 Norn (Brahm), and more humans than you can swing a sword at.

We need some Asura LS characters. We’ve had some tiny supporting roles but we need an Asura main character in LS for once.

Maybe you’re right. At first glance it looked like a dragon background so I thought it could have something to further dragon storyline. But again if it her arm, it looks too muscular lol and looks like it is popping out of her back instead of from her side, where an arm is supposed to be. Again, its just a concept art, so I am just nitpicking things for some lolz. Maybe just wait and see what its about, if it’s anything other than revamped TA.

Caithe finally found a way to turn herself human, awesome because shes one of the only trees i really liked.

That is DEFINITELY Caithe.

It would make sense. It’s about time the Pale Tree decides to intervene in some manner with the whole Scarlet fiasco.

She did declare war on Scarlet after all.

Well, if she isn’t Caithe, it’s pretty odd that they chose a Sylvari with Caithe’s exact colour scheme and who is also a Thief (seemingly) to be the next hero. So I’m pretty sure it’s Caithe and she’ll just be in a similar role to Rox and Braham (which I was astonished to find is a real name).

I hope it’s Caithe, I don’t want another new sylvari character :/

I’m going to guess Caithe as well.

For several reasons:

~Sylvari type clothing

~the general figure and facial structure, although she seems too ‘human’ in this art due to skin color and texturing

~the choice of hair style and color

~the dagger in her hand, Caithe is a dagger wielding thief

~her eyes, Caithe’s eyes do “glow” green or give the illusion of it due to her iris size, low lighting, and brightness of the iris color.

Sephiroth or Cloud.

If one were to assume that the race in the image is accurate, Caithe would have to undergo a big transformation to end up like that.

Some observations:
the covering of the chest would suggest the person depicted is a female.

Necromancers have glowing eyes and can also use daggers.
Additionally, Necromancers particle effects generally have a green & black theme to them, which goes with the overall coloring of the image.

It’s not impossible it is Caithe, but I’m leaning towards this character, whoever she is, being a necromancer of some sort.

*edit: maybe Traherne has a little sister? “this won’t end well”

From the markings on the forehead, i’d say 100% Caithe.

Wasn’t Marjory a necromancer? Although none of the rest matches up with her general look.

Edit: My guess is still Caithe. Completely missed the marking on her forehead before. That just makes it that much more likely to be Caithe imo.

as for the pic above, used to be 100% certain that was Caithe, but I am starting to lean towards it being a human (or stylised sylvari) necromancer

It’s not exactly a secret. The order of whispers has known this for some time. It’s in the human storyline.

Look at that URL… “TA_NextHero”. Most likely a TA rework, maybe a new path (Temporary, only for the living story period, probably 4 weeks) Including “A new hero” which is the person on the picture, Caithe’s daughter
