Why There Should Never Be Invuln in P. Story
Invulnerability shouldn’t be part of any part of the game… in my opinion. It decreases the amount of strategy being used and replaces it with a strategy that encourages button mashing. Not to mention it’s a complete game-changer and it essentially makes the health bar a not-so-good indicator of how close you are to death, which is what health bars are made to do.
The problem is, people would ignore the mechanics, then whine about the encounter taking too long. Either way, they should simply give it a time limit which enrages the boss.
The problem with the personal story is that its instanced, so if you log out and then log back in again you dont start where you were when you logged out, but back at the start of the instance which can be many fights away.
It would be better if the personal story had checkpoints in it so when you log out and then relog back in , you are at the same place where you logged out.
personally ive never liked the invulnerability mechanic for mobs, it turns the idea of positional strategy into a limp biscuit presumably just out of concern people would abuse it although I don’t see how doing so would possibly be a lucrative thing to do considering it would take longer.
The invulnerability and other certain mechanics really makes instanced stories really aggravating at times. It can go from fun story to annoying tedium in mere seconds. I do like though that I can at least bring a friend with me. Unlike FF14 where all their instance stories (aside from dungeons and raids) force you to solo things.
