GUILD HALLS, FOR THE MASSES
United we stand! Having finely established a foothold in the Magus Falls, the great guilds of Tyria have laid the groundwork for the rest of the Guild Brotherhood to stake their own claim in the Maguuma wilderness. Following in the footsteps of their larger brethren, the time has come for the rest of the central Tyrian guilds to claim their own Guild Halls. In pursuit of a unified guild community, the phalanx force of the grand guilds, has called out to their smaller siblings for assistance, and from all corners of Tyria, the call… is answered!GUILDS OF TYRIA UNITE
In the March 29th patch: We will lay the groundwork for the Friday April 1st rollout of Guild Halls for the masses. Guilds of ALL shapes and sizes can now lay claim to a scaled version of their very own Guild Hall. With far reduced restrictions to number of active members and pooled resources needed, enabling them to claim their very own piece of the Guild Hall experience.SMALLER GUILD MEMBERSHIPS ARE NOW INCLUDED
Starting with this release, we have redesigned Guild Halls into a more universally exciting experience for guilds of all sizes. The Guild Hall instance has been optimized to encompass a much more varied number of players without any adverse effect to the efforts engaged by those who already have established Guild Halls.NEW IN THIS RELEASE
Claiming A Hall – A full party of 5 players or more, with at least 3 of which representing the claiming guild, is now able to realistically capture a Guild Hall. The guild claiming mission has been modified to accommodate a much smaller contingent, striving to plant their own respective banner and build a Hall they can be proud of.Changes to the Guild Hall Structure – As the guild level changes so will the overall look of the hall change. Small guilds will start out with a significantly reduced real estate footprint as compared to the starting instance of their larger counterparts. Due to the reduced size of the smaller Guild Halls, so too they will require a reduced amount of resource building materials to construct their upgrades. If a guild does grow in number of members, additional resources will be required to accommodate the increase in Guild Hall capacity.
General Guild Upgrades – Our Guild Team has also retooled a new Guild Interface to allow for a more smoothly flowing guild interaction. Some of the changes will include:
• Numerous features enabling Guild Officers to manage their respective members more easily
• A new Guild Mail system has been implemented to facilitate easier communication between Guild Officers and Guild Members.
• Visiting Vendor NPCs will now frequent your Guild Hall in hopes of pawning their untraditional wares, giving access to items that are not usually available.Guild Bank – Bank structure has been updated to allow for new development levels and features
• Guild Stash, Trove, Cave and the new Vault are now all separate areas of the Bank each with their own Rank security settings. Each of the above can be broken down by tabs to further refine deposit groupings.
• Guild Deposit boxes (small, medium and large) can now be purchased, via the Gem Store, for Guild specific storageScribe – A complete revision of the Scribe guild crafting discipline to encourage any guild members who may want to contribute, will be able to do so. Scribing has been brought into line with requirements and benefits to match the other crafting professions.
New Guild Ranks, Revised Security Levels, Guild Alliances, Guild Commander Tags and so much more are coming in this huge Guild specific release.
Coming April 1st – Guild Halls… for the other 99% !
Very nice wishlist, it shouldn’t be a wish though, it should have all been there from the start. I love lot of the concepts gw2 teams come up with but unfortunately, lot of them are not quite there, sort of half done really. No matter what it is, there’s always somethings missing, some very basic things at that. like for eg: creating 3 guild bank tabs, but giving leaders only 2 permission option for all 3.
April Fools came early I see….
Well, actually, this year it came two Tuesdays before April, the same time as it did last year.
Tuesday March 17 2015 – Wish List:Lion’s Arch, The Unfettered Phoenix
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Wish-List-Lion-s-Arch-The-Unfettered-Phoenix/first#post4889687
LION’S ARCH, THE UNFETTERED PHOENIX!
Over a year has passed since its wanton destruction and still, Lion’s Arch remains in ruin. A desperate call went out to all corners of Tyria and though the call was answered, chaos remains. The many Guilds of the Freepeople flocked to the broken city’s aid only to find graft, corruption and failed politics stood squarely in the way of their offered assistance. What started out as the Citizens United movement, yielded only gilded pockets, power mongering and unfulfilled promises… but no longer!
PATIENCE AT AN END, GUILDS OF TYRIA UNITE
In this special Midnight March 31st release: With stoic citizens returning to broken byways and the still burned out husks of their homes, the Guilds have been called to action. No more laboring on the same bridge slat for months. No more barehanded hammering. No more craftfolk’s clueless use of tools. The ineffectual Captains Council has been ‘encouraged’ to step down and the Association of Guilds and Alliances is formed. Their charter motto: “Change in LA doesn’t start from the top down; it starts from the bottom up”. And under this new transparent leadership, the city’s rebuilding begins.
THE TIME FOR CHANGE IS AT HAND
Over the next several months the skeleton of the city’s living form takes shape. The transportation infrastructure stands at the forefront of LA’s future. Once wooden bridges transition into strong metal masterpieces recycled from the plentiful salvage so graciously provided by Breachmaker. Fort Marriner Waypoint has finely, been repaired. The Stonemason, Architect and Woodworking guilds amongst so many others lead the way in the new housing development; as the commerce guilds labor at rebuilding the shining ‘Trade Hub of Tyria’.
NEW IN THIS RELEASE
Lion’s Arch Permanent Events – In like fashion to the Wintersday Dolyak escort event or its sister Lunar New Year event in Divinity’s Reach, LA will now sport 30+ new intra-city dynamic events for those city dwellers not willing to brave the great PvE Open World wilderness. Some of the events will be timed, some will be random spawns, others will have trigger events and yet others could be Guild triggered.
Guild Alliances – The ability of Guilds to ally together under a single banner for the purpose of communication, comradery and community. Some of the additions will include:
- Alliance chat – This will allow all members of a given alliance to converse as you would similar to Guild chat, in an effort to increase organization and functional logistics.
- The Alliance tab – In the Guild Menu, this multifunction section grants access to various Alliance assets. This section can also be used to access other aligned guild’s halls of the alliance or the Alliance Courtyard.
The Guild District – A separate area of LA zoned to begin the groundwork to allow for Land Parceling for Guild Hall construction.
New Achievements, Guild Ranks, Revised Security Levels, New Guild Armor & Weapons and so much more are coming in this huge Guild specific release.
On April 1st We return the Guild to Guild Wars!
Heck, in 2014, it actually came in mid-February.

Must have missed last year’s. Thanks for the chuckle.
This would be funnier if half of the things weren’t already in the game or being planned to be in the game. :p

Respectfully, you may notice that in the first, post, none of the called out changes are currently in the game or have been officially called out as being planned to be in the game, specifically for small guilds. Mayhap I made that innuendo too obscure.
The parts of which you may be referring, that are in or in planning, were part of a subsequent post, which if you look at the dates of their original threads, were one and two years ago respectively; way before Guild Halls even came out. Sorry I did not make that more clear, my bad.
