World Bosses and WvW fps
20-30
if this is not for traveling u are better off getting a cheap laptop and build a better desktop.

I manage an average of 60fps in general gameplay from a Geforce 950M and quad core i7 laptop with only 8gb of RAM, only every going down to 12-15fps in those extreme world boss fights such as the Shaman or heavy WvW fights, which is still very playable.
So I would think you’re specs should merit similar results to mine, although I am no tech expert so don’t rely solely on my comment – hopefully others will post their experiences.
woah, Taxidriver, lay off man, Princ, 980m? you’re gonna be over 100 fps, easy. i74870 is great. I run is 4710 860m and get 60 fps in world boss/wvw situations on highest settings g750jm here, 120-150 fps regularly.

Well that is great news, but yeah, i needed this haha, the only game i can play on my current computer on max is LoL…And since im going to college soon, i might aswell take a laptop
8GB RAM max, i5 would be just fine, and that GPU is way overkill.
If you’re going to college, get a small and light laptop that you can take around to classes. You’re going to find that you end up not carrying that 20lb brick everywhere after all because it’s just so bulky and heavy.
Most newer laptops should handle GW2 at decent quality with the integrated graphics, and you could always look to see if there’s a laptop you like that doesn’t have the top-of-the-line cards.

they make a backpack specifically for it, and I use it myself, the comp is only about 13-15 lb, really not that heavy at all.

I dont think i’ll carry it around, i’ll just have it in my apartment, couse during the weekends, im going home and so forth, thats why i’d rather not buy a deskop, and 4kilos is not that heavy for me, got some muscles.
Plus, why would you want me to get a weaker gaming laptop, its not like gw2 is the only game that exists and ever will you know, and games are getting more demanding every year.
