…if they didn’t have Achiever in them?

They are, for reference:

Respected Achiever
Acclaimed Achiever
Heralded Achiever
Masterful Achiever

Personally, they seem like a bit of a mouthful to me. This is not to mention they’re the equivalent of the Kind of a Big Deal title track from GW1, and in this there was no mention of ‘Achievements’.

Being able to add Respected, Acclaimed, etc. as a title to my character seems fairly cool to me, but Respected Achiever just sounds silly (achiever is not a word you expect to hear used very much).

Yeah, I hate the titles right now. Just “Respected” or “Acclaimed” would be a million times better, and I might actually equip one at some point.

I agree with the OP. I definitely would like to see the word “Achiever” removed from the titles.

I really like the titles that “work” with a character. For example, I quite enjoy displaying “Master Carver” on my thief, who dual-wields daggers. Having “Achiever” in the title makes them a little less mysterious and impactful.

Also, btw, I also think it’s nice when titles aren’t always obvious, and you have to look them up to figure out how to get them.

No problem with any of them except the first one:

Well, actually all of the titles above sound pretentious. And I suspect if I do happen to notice them on anyone, I will probably just laugh.

Just in general, I’d like to see more stylised titles like those of GW1.

The WvW ones, with the exception of Yakslapper, are pretty mediocre in this sense too.

I’ve got just over 5k yaks after nearly a year of hardcore WvW. Just 199 more years to go!

Until there are a lot more achievements to get across the board this is about right. I’m at respected achiever, and I don’t foresee myself being anywhere above that any time soon.
