This is driving me crazy. I am sitting at 96% world completion and I just cant get my WvW points in the enemy maps. I log in a various times and there never seems to be any players around to help take the 6 building points that I need.

I really wish there was an easier way to get these points that did not involved magically being on at the perfect time when there is finally a group to help you.

Even if there is a group on.. sometimes those more difficult forts just never get taken. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes people whine about it all the time.

Either wait until your color changes or rally a force and take those points. Crying on the forum won’t get them for you.

I finally finished my WvW maps. I’m not close to map completion though, but at least WvW is out of the way and over with.

Depending on where some of the points are, and you don’t mention you need any SP’s, for a couple, I just made a suicide run. You only have to get to a certain spot for credit. Take off all your armor and put any movement boosts you have on your bar, or get some food, and run for it.

If you have all the SP’s and vistas and only need POI’s, you’re in the home stretch.

Is it possible to simply switch to a world that holds the points you want, do them, and switch back? I think there’s a week delay before you can switch back, but wouldn’t that get you access to a point you need?

You can pay to switch because guesting does not work for WvWvW.
It is why there are so many of the threads complaining about WvW being part of map completion. If they randomly assigned colors at server reset it would make it a little easier. Or even move the poi’s outside to the gates but that wouldn’t help some of the vista’s.
EDIT: Forgot to add; I am stuck at 97% with only WvW poi’s and vista’s left to go. I check frequently as of now it’s just a long waiting game.

^The problem ofc with switching to another server is paying the gems to make the transfer. And in your example you’d need to pay the transfer fee twice in order to go to another server and then come back to the original one.

Assuming you don’t want to pay the transfer fees and you don’t have friends readily available to help take the needed points (which can be nigh impossible on some maps even with help), then you just have to keep checking for whenever those points free up or you ultimately switch to side of the map with those needed points.
