Mine happened in Arah last boss the other day.
We had this Warriors, kind of simple-minded guy, we explained him that he had to use the terminal, enter bubble and get the boss to 50% life etc.
He was all excited and said “ok I got this!”, we buffed him up and he yelled “SPARTAAAA” while rushing to the boss but forgot to ping terminal and PONG! he bumped back with the “sparta” bubble still on his head.

Its always in wvw when ppl getting a bit too mindless and jump off a cliff when the person leading had a fall skill.

Holding off a 20-man DB zerg at Quentin Lake with only 5 people – 3 guardians and 2 on a ballista/cart

Equally lulzy as epic.

When doing the Krait event in Sparkfly Fen after the new changes, watching a group of 15+ people get wiped by the poison and bomb skills. I laughed my head off.

For me it would be when fighting Kholer and you are in the perfect place so that when pulled, you get flung really high into the air and upon landing die from fall damage. It’s happened to me twice and it was awesome each time.

I think for me it was a situation that was so over the top that all we could do is laugh.

To preface this, please note that not everyone is a zomglighthousebbq game god that can solo level 9001 fractals like 95% of the people seem to be able to.

We had been trying to finish a fractal for quite some time, something like 45minutes to an hour, with a fair share of party wipes and lots of frustration. We finally got to the final champion and started plinking away at him.
His health was only 25% left, we were winning!

When someone with a legendary 2 hander was standing next to me started on a rant towards me for not ogling over his legendary, saying how awesome he is for having one. No joke, this guy went on for 10 minutes on a rant about how players like me ruin community because we don’t worship the elite in the game, and that there would be no game if there were no elite. he went on about all kinds of crap.

When he stopped, I asked “Where’s the restroom?” and then he said “AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!” and then he logged off

That made me lulz

Was back in Beta and I was an Engineer. Was doing that wall skill challenge in Diessa Plateau. Get to the top and I was fighting the Veteran up there, I hit skill 4 on my rifle and fell all the way down and died.

Another moment was completing fractals level 10 for the 9th time with my guild, 1 guildy got Vassar’s Band, and another got Relena’s

I’ve twice died from being knocked off a cliff by a rabbit doing Bjarni’s heart in Wayfarer foothills

Just yesterday I was playing the DE defending the water pipes from bandits.
I used my healing shield to cover the bandit’s bomb, as it goes running to it the guy just pops off and hits the ground.

He’s still trying to get at it while the group was pounding on him and the other mobs.

Maybe it was due to the late night, or the sound effect, but I found that funny and repeatable for a while.

I find my characters’ deaths funny. I don’t know why but every time I see them die, I just imagine that they just shrug it off like it was nothing.

May not seem funny to others but it’s kind of funny to me

I find dying funny as well, mostly because I die to the most random stuff.
I can kill a champ, but when I roam I get kitteny.

It’s funnier when you jump from the top of a mountain in Lornar’s Pass….. All the way down…

When I logged on Sunday to find that a guildie had claimed one of the WvW towers for our guild. We don’t really WvW and seeing our silly banner all giant on the side of a tower was hilarious to me.

The most memorable moment for me came after killing Zhaitan for the first time. The game had only been released a few days. After defeating the beast, our party stood on the bow of the ship, looking into the abyss. Curiosity compelled me to leap, which started a chain reaction. We all fell, tens of seconds, to the earth. No word was spoken in chat as we each parted in a lingering silence.

One of my guildies fell off a cliff in Snowden Drifts, almost died, ended up near an ice elemental. He had like a sliver of health left and he takes off running, and the ice elemental takes off in pursuit.

He’s on mumble with me, and he’s yelling, this thing isn’t leashing!

Took him quite a while to realize he was running from his own summoned elemental! lol

Me and a friend took down a warrior in WvW, and we decided to have mercy after downing him and let him back up, so we went off to the side and /sat. He began to heal himself, and about 10 seconds later decided for some reason to stop healing and attack while downed, which caused my friends bone minion to walk up to him and auto attack him to death while we sat there laughing.

Mine probably when I was chasing invaders with my guildies. I used Mighty blow (a leap skill) and the target had just suicided off the bridge. Naturally my MB targeted after him and I gloriously jumped off the bridge with my hammer up in the air. The chat-room was quiet for about 30 seconds before bursting into laughter. ;D

Our guild’s first time taking on the boss of AC story mode. The Mesmer used Quickness. He lets us know just before hand over chat every time so we’re ready. We are in the habit of saving our huge bursts for Time Warp.

Quickness hits. We all burst. We all go down. We hear this over the chat:

“I uh…guess he had retaliation up.”

Using “Shake It Off!” followed by “For Great Justice!” my warrior shouts “shake it for great justice!”

Quaggan (sounding hurt): The Jotun are Foo, and won’t share with Quaggan.
You: The Jotun are Foo, all right.

I walked out of the south gate of Lion’s Arch the first time and asked in Guild chat “Frog Juicer?”

I was at a vista in Malchor’s Leap and did not want to walk down. However, the building beside it had a spire and a sloping roof that looked like I could jump down. A might leap on top of the spire… to discover that it was just a graphic. I saw myself falling down a pole. For a long time…

This Siamoth made my night.

Just today I was doing SE3 for the first time and I was tagging behind following the rest of my guild and I see them jump off an edge so I followed. Died. Twice. Maybe three times before they pointed out the ledge half way down.

Was at the southern end of Hills keep in borderlands, on the path near the base of the cliff. A few dead teammates were there, so I started rezzing them. Then a guy at the top of the cliff starts harassing me, so I lob a few grenades at him until he leaves me alone, and I start rezzing again.
Then suddenly the guy lands on me and dies.

I can remember a funny thing from WvW, I was chased by 3 other invaders, so I decided to jump down from some cliffs where i knew i could survive. 50% fall dmg.. what could go wrong? Nothing, but for the 3 invaders it worked the other way around xD

When I hit the ground I got up and placed some traps, they jumped down and landed right on my traps..I think they didn’t have fall dmg trait on, since my traps downed them. (Tunnel vision is a nasty thing in WvW )
So it was 3 easy pole stomping xD
I just had to dance xD

My friend and I was in EB map WvW. He on his ranger I on my Ele.
We ran off to hide from one zerg just to meet another Zerg and it was to late to avoid them, they have spotted us and heading our way, and No escape. We ofc when like OMG we’r soo dead.

My friend the Ranger was closer to the zerg then I the Ele was. The Zerg heading towards us and is soo ready to stump us to or dead.. Well yeah when I said Us i made a mistake. The Zerg decide to Jump ME who was standing a little behide my friend who is closer to the zerg.. I was brutaly ’’ kitten #8217;’ rush away and left my friend totaly unharmed…

I watched a warrior use frenzy + hundred blades on a pack of risen chickens only to be insta-gibbed by their explosions

Happens to me a little too often!

My Mesmer has a little skirt and when I jump off a cliff, i can see her tighty whiteys underneath. Can’t help but to giggle.

Does anyone else’s stomach do a little flutter when your character jumps off a cliff?

The first time a guildmate and I found a pair of diving goggles. He does a flawless swan dive off the cliff. I followed a few moments later and did a flawless faceplant onto a rock.

The other day I saw a ranger with a legendary sword and a legendary off hand… yes… 2 legendaries soulbound/wasted to a ranger

The second was the flamethrower guy wiped me and another guy in a CoF run… I think he got stuck or something, but he did that trucker horn pull that he does before the flame attack, then teabagged us… it was really funny…

I see I’m not the only one who has come across the rare tree-climbing Siamoth. :P

Also recently was treated to watching the Champion Corrupted Wolfmaster in Wayfarer Foothills attempt to kill one of the Flame & Frost event Ice Tornadoes. Not sure if he would have eventually killed himself with his own reflected axes (which would have been infinitely hilarious), because shortly after he was descended upon by real people and promptly killed.

I was running up the ramp after the spider queen in AC. I messed up my infiltrators arrow and ended up hitting a trap, only to panic and roll into another trap. I reached the top with “0” health. As I was letting my party know, you can live with 0 health, I get hit by a gargoyle flame.

I was doing Sorrow’s Embrace p3 on my warrior the other day and used “Rush” just as my target died. Everyone watched as I ran toward the ledge and plummeted into the lava below.

Personally, I think anything that happens in wvw makes me laugh. Though attacking without siege tends to be even funnier. Yea, everyone was too cheap with the blueprints.

The culling monster is too OP.

Running fractal on my ele, when we hit the Solid Ocean.

On the last plataform, fighting the Irukandji, I target it and use RTL to close the gap, only to have it teleported and me riding to the botton of the pit.

In orr theres this viziers tower, so i was doing it the second time and i died from the boss up there when he had like 1% of his health pool left. That was funny but i coulndt really find the courage to do the puzzle right again so i went s a bit off the screen. When i returned, i saw this one guy who had just reached the top reviving me (the boss was still there with 100% health ofc). The funny thing about the whole situation was that the guy was reving me in some hilarious ninja sorta way, always reving a bit by bit BUT never getting noticed by the boss who was constantly moving around there But the guy kep hiding from him and revived me in the end. That was the most epic revivings ive ever had in any game and the guy wasnt even a thief.. it was just some warrior xD

The first time I did a face-plant when I fell off something.

Every time I kill something with Overcharged Shot on my Asura.

Doing the WvW eternal battlegrounds to get my bagdes of the day, when i warrior attack me.. And i was like: “Really?!” And then i started to fight back. I got him low on HP, and he tried to run away. He used his Rush skill on the GS and ran of a cliff and died… I Lol’d..

Or maybe another time in the WvW JP, when 2 guys attacked me from behind. They were like: “Oh noob, get skills! Get the bagdes legit!” Etc. And where talking kitten about me. Called me small for being an asura etc. Untill i suddenly used my necro powers and got them both in my well bomb, bone minion explosions etc. And they both died… Suddenly, they were both quiet.

Another time, when doing the JP again (lol) a guy attack me… As usual. he was standing on top of a ledge, so i just went a bit pack so he couldnt attack me, and called for my guild. Suddenly, around 10 guys from my guild arrived, i used my pull skill on him and he died…

I laughed so bad. I HATE WvW JP killers.. But i LOVE killing them

In WvW I came to the top of a cliff and looked down to see a single downed player. There were plenty of others standing beside me looking down there but doing nothing. So the idiot I am, I jumped down and started reviving the guy. He types…. “It’s a trap”
So I got him to 90% when I was finally attacked by a single stealthed thief. I fought back and was doing pretty well at only lvl65. Unfortunately the thief was only the first one to ‘unstealth’. I was surrounded and subsequently destroyed.
No one came to rev either of us. So I wp’ed and finished rev’ing him. He said thx and gj killing the thief.
At the time I didn’t think I’d killed anyone let alone two people (shiny bags I lost when I wp’ed); it looked more like a massive slaughter of me.

My favorite was the only dungeon I have done. AC, I think the boss is Koehler? Anyway I thought I would be cute and hide behind a pillar when he threw out that nasty pull ability. It didn’t work. These rocks are magically transparent and I got pulled right through them to end up in the water below. At least I lived

I seem to have a really bad habit of walking that line at the edge of cliffs during fights.

If I wanted to sound cool, I would say its because it increases the chances of my opponent falling off. But, in reality, it just seems to be some weird habit. Ironically, I have never knocked something off of a cliff to its demise. Period.

That said, the amount of times I have taken myself out.. I couldnt even attempt to quantify. Regardless of if its RTL, Overcharged Shot, or Serpents Strike, I seem incredibly adept at flirting with gravity.

Sadly, I never win. But, gravity is a purdy lady.

Well, yeasterday I was in wvwvw whenI got pulled over a small hill and got launched a good 100 feet or so into the air – I survived despite fall damage, but was thinking “Woaaaah, what’s going on here?”.

That or the time when I was in Tutu and we marched naked through LA – Or was lying around in the inn in LA, inhaling the “mist” from my healing turret…

This happened a while ago, but in WvW I came upon a downed player surrounded by several invaders and quickly cast shadow refuge to stealth rez him, in the nick of time as he only had a sliver of life left. One of the invaders who was also a thief used scorpion wire to pull me away from him and out of the refuge area. I was thinking craaaap I’m going to get revealed and die now, but just as I cross the boundary, the house disappears and I still keep my invisibility.
I go back and finish rezzing the downed player, while the invaders run away thinking we were long gone, but we were still there all along at their feet.

Also, fun times with the gift boxes during the Christmas event. Was surprised by an enemy squad and was losing, until I run to a nearby gift box and unleashed a pack of dolls. The knockback and chaos was glorious, the invaders wiped and 2/3 of my party did too.

Hahaha that reminds me of when they had the broken present right outside of AC instance. Boyfriend and I were on lowbie alts (12) together running around collecting presents. We opened that one only to be surprised by level 31 skritt. Being so close to the instance it was triggering instance level instead of zone level. I enjoyed watching people do the same thing and then complaining after haha
