What was your luckiest moment in GW2? I was doing fotm lvl 28 and got tons of T6 and rares also Assassin’s Ascended weapon box in daily <3. What was your luckiest moment?

Dusk in from a Frozen Maw chest. I’ve vowed never to complain about RNG in MMOs again.

I got three precursors in one week using the mystic forge: Dawn, Spark and Colossus.

I’m wary of using the word ‘luck’ here because I threw in an awful lot of rares over the course of that week, but considering the number of people who do the same and get nada, I just it was pretty lucky.

I had a black lion key drop from a regular mob one day. No less than 30 minutes later, a second dropped. Never seen even 1 drop before or since. I’ve been playing since launch and have only had about 3 exotics drop, including champ farming.

I have likely used all of my RNG luck for the rest of the game.

I once got a black lion key out of a black lion chest, and used that key to open another chest. This happened 3 times in a row in one sitting. I haven’t been that lucky since.

I haven’t had a precursor drop or anything like that, but I can’t complain… Two abyss dyes, two fractal weapons and the other day I got an exotic and two rares from the golems in CoE, woohoo! Also, my ecto and dark matter salvage rates have always been decent.

I’ve got about a thousand hours in and have not been lucky in the least as of yet. No good drops here.

Heh, the same thing must have happened to me a long time ago. As a long term goal I wanted to get all of them unlocked on my main so I have a habit of just using any dye I don’t already have without looking at the name. About 6-8 months ago I realized that I had Abyss unlocked, then I realized how much it was worth, heh.

Aside from the karka chest, which I received The Hunter, which I could not use and think it used up ALL my luck for the remainder of my gaming days, I have no luck in this game. I once was farming Shelter/Penitent/Jofast/Plinx, before ANet made them unfarmible, and received over 90 porous bones in the run of an hour. It was ridiculous, and not long after, I stopped playing. You can only play for so long when you’re getting nothing and those around you are getting consistently decent drops. The ONLY time I can actually make decent money in this game is if I take the RNG out of the equation. I’ve opted to never use the mystic forge again unless it’s a set recipe with no RNG involved.

When my first exotic dropped after 800 hours, I took 10 minutes to realize that it wasnt another time a green masterwork after selling it to the merchant
Otherwise, I’m also cursed by RNG… third exotic dropped till now (1600h)…
And Zommoros must hate me for lightbringer title

About the game but outside, the mini Mr Sparkles… it may seems current in US, but in europe… maybe rarer than a precursor.

Dawn dropped from the mystic forge for me after 3 tries. Using greatswords crafted with mithril/claws I got from farming the pavilion.

I bought a dye pack and a miniatures pack, got an abyss dye and mini pink moa. Unfortunately that was in the last beta weekend event, so they both got removed.

My best luck aside from that is last week when I got the exact infused ring I wanted from fractals of the mists as the first infused ring I’ve had drop. That may not sound like much, but it’s much better than my usual luck.

Abyss dye dropped on my birthday from farming spinach. I had just gotten the human cultural Tier 3 armor for my guardian.

3 months later, another dropped at the same spot on the day my guildmate needed the exact amount it sold for on the TP. Was fun to just hand him the money without thinking.

I had an abyss and celestial dye drop the same day. never had them since – or before that. I also had two precursors drop from the karka chest(dusk and the shield one). two at once. pretty kitten lucky and I dont think I will ever be lucky again in this game. xD oh well.

I got a mini Jack-a-lop the very first mini-pack I bought…

down side is that I didn’t know how rare he was and sold him… now he’s worth a small mint

I threw plenty of rare greatswords (about 1000) into the mystic toilet and got Dusk and Dawn during the course of the day. You don’t believe me how thrilled I was!

I don’t have any lucky monument in this game.!!!!!!! 400g of weapon in mf getting nothing, 100 times of fotm lvl30 above running got 3 staff skin. How lucky this could be…. None. I report to arnet they say it normal. 100 times of running getting nothing that’s normal?

Everything I got today I work on myself.

I got the Hunter during the first Southsun event a couple of months after launch, so the Predator was my first legendary weapon. Seemed destined, since my first 80 was an Engie.

I’ve gotten a couple of Abyss dyes, as well.

But probably the luckiest was during the second Southsun event when I was just swimming around killing sharks in the water. I got so many armored scales in such a short time, it was one every other minute for half an hour. It was awesome.

My luckiest moment was in joining my guild. I love them.

In terms of RNG, hmm. I’ve gotten a few Abyss, Celestial, and other rare dyes, a few Black Lion Tickets, an exotic now and then, a Toxic Spore Backpiece out of the Tower. No precursors, no permanent hair kits, nothing that stands out as something I could never have gotten on my own without the lucky drop. I did have a guildie get the Moot precursor off a junk spider in AC explorable a couple of weeks ago (the little pack right before the spike traps fight). We cheered for her! And we always kill those spiders now

I’d have to say getting three consecutive Abyss dyes from drops.

“Lucky” in terms of exotic gear and rare item/dye drops over 2,500+ hours:

First year:

• 1 Celestial dye (ate it)
• Ulgoth’s Tail from Ulgoth (exotic version) (sold 2-4g)
• Two Mini Southsun Kasmeer during Southsun event (kept one, sold one for 12-18g…it’s now at about 30g I think)

Past 3 months (I notice these kind of coincide with the MF changes)

• 1 Abyss dye 2-3 months ago (sold ~26g I think)
• Master Blaster from Shadow Behemoth ~2 months ago (sold 1-2g)
• Monsoon from Shadow Behemoth ~1 month ago (sold 1-2g)
• 1 Celestial dye from a Halloween Door Event in Queensdale about 3 weeks ago (holding onto it, might sell it if I need coin)
• Cobalt from Champ Boar in Queensdale little over a week ago after I have already bought 4 of them (1-2g but keeping it for later use)

I had 3 Final Rests drop shortly after the drop rate was fixed in January
had a golden ticket(that I used for the Sunhelm) drop from a random ettin
got an abyss dye form an unidentified I harvested from a cabbage

Still waiting for my, ‘lucky moment’, only 1500+ hrs clocked up…

GW2, NOT a game to play if you like interesting/good drops…

got 4 precursors from mystic forge in 10 minutes using about 30 gold. the chosem first, the lover, leaf of kudzu and last rage. after that i used about 400g and got nothing. coupleof days later i tried again and got dawn and leaf og kudzu (again) in a couple of minutes

Of all the hours spent, my one really good drop was storm from the super easy JP in ne la. Also 3 mini teqs in the first 10 wins – back to back days even. Of course nothing good in the last 30+ teq kills….

I got an expensive backpiece skin from a wooden chest. I don’t remember which, but it sold for 10g. I was pretty broke at the time.

Also “Truth” dropped for me from a chest while I was leveling low level a necro who uses an axe. It wasn’t worth very much or an outstanding skin. It wa a free exotic axe though. I stored it for probably 30 levels and equiped it when I was 80.

I have gotten abyss and white dye to fall as well.

I was unlocking CoF with my buddies and got downed on the bridge. The champion effigy knocked me off and all my friends saw me fall to my death.
…Except I didn’t!

My luckiest moment in GW2 was when I found a place in urban battleground fractal where when you jump, you cannot jump out. Now I lure everyone I can in there.

I remember one time a few months back, I had been grinding for about 8 hours straight, when I got an Exotic drop. Sold it for about 70s on the TP.

Was in CoF path 1 and dropped a dagger with the precursor skin worth 7G.
5 minutes later, I got the same dagger again

The second day of launch, a mob in Queensdale dropped a midnight ice dye. Yep, that’s about it. Literally everything else I’ve had to farm gold for or earn on my own. RNG luck does not exist in this game for me.

Well, honestly, RNG doesn’t like me and I haven’t exactly been “Lucky” for anything, everything I have was earned through the grind :’(

Probably when I don’t play the game for a couple of months and log in and do a fractal run and watch 5 golds + a few exotic drops each chest and from mobs.

I am still waiting for my lucky moment.

Easily today, bought 100 g of exotic rifles to put in forge. On about the fifth try, got the hunter., immediately crafted the predator and did a dance of joy. Figured I’d toss the rest of the rifles in and boom, another the hunter. Needless to say I was very happy.

Thanks! I always vowed not to straight up buy a precursor, the the forge was my best option. Seeing the hunter show up felt great!

WvW, their massive zerg stationed near a big kitten cliff for treb, I got pulled into the middle of them. I activated Fear Me, 20 bags at least.

There was this time when I got bored, I put 4 GSs into the mystic toilet, it gave me Dawn. Then I stuffed 4 more in for the laughs, then out pops Dusk. Boy, I was so high I felt like I would never need to do weed ever.

….. then I woke up

Nothing.

I saw a guildmate get the torch precursor, if that counts…

WvW, their massive zerg stationed near a big kitten cliff for treb, I got pulled into the middle of them. I activated Fear Me, 20 bags at least.

Anytime you get multiple kills (or depending on tagging – force multiple deaths,) from cliffside shenanigans it’s a good feeling. Most of the bags must have been from other tagged targets though. Unless fear me affects more than 5 and does damage, this wasn’t the source.

On topic my luckiest drop moment was when I got celestial dye 2k+ hours into the game. In wvw though? So many lucky breaks that I can scarcely scratch the surface… but there was one time I made it back into a tower with exactly 0 HP.

I’ve never had anything truly spectacular happen, but I’ve gotten some moderately good drops. The most valuable was Carcharias (the lamest precursor, no less) from the final chest in CoF.

One time after killing SB I got an exotic in the big chest AND the popup chest, Magmaton and a dagger with sup sigil of corruption.

Two precursors from one drop? I can’t even comprehend that kind of luck.

From the Karka event tons of people, got precursors…. I’m not surprised that happened. I was at lvl 40 when it happened though, so I got lvl 60 exotics haha

dropped a leaf of kudzu from a random risen in orr a few months back.

Few days ago doing camps for karka queen, camps failed back to zero, guildies in party left I stayed behind with a few people to clear the camp near her spawning place.
Usual wooden chest appeared on floor picked it up and had precursor ZAP.
Sold straight away on TP for 580g. Whoever had pre order in enjoy your legendary.

Well I decided I wanted to make the staff ‘The Delusion’ by using the mystic forge & I hadn’t used the mystic toilet in weeks possibly months (the delusion is no longer an item on MP & can only be obtained thru a drop or MF) – I didn’t want to waste gold so I used the dungeon tokens I had & bought 3 AC staves & 1 TA staff, 1st try into mystic toilet & BOOM there I get The Legend.
