Note: Each segment is quite branching from one thing to the next, and I am not gonna sort it ‘cus then it sorta will lose it’s purpose as a rant. (And I need to RANT!)

I will start off with the progress list as an idea.
It’s quite annoying that I have no clue what progress each of my characters have done in the form of dungeons (having explorable mode unlocked or not..)
So that addition of a progress window before even logging IN on the character would be nice.

Also the professions. Even if I play my main most of the time, and I might have started up 5 professions on her, but I got no clue how to check it up, aside from the ONLY 2 active ones I see in the character’s crafting tab! And if I go to an other dimwit NPC to learn another profession, (that I didn’t know I already had started up), then the little kitten demand payment for me to deactivate and reactivate.
It’s like me turning to someone with cash saying: ‘’please, put this micro-chip into my brain ’cus I certainly don’t know how to do it myself. Thank you! realisation of the process of profession. Oh.. but I already knew this… but why did I pay you..?’’

So can I PLEASE have a kitten idea of what professions I already have and not have so I can INTENTIONALLY go to a kitten asura and get a brain wash in turns of cash?

If I were to check in the achievements to try and figure which ones I have on her, it is accountwide, and doesn’t specify which character on my account got that profession achievement in the first place so I know which one to resume raising the skill on or not. Even if you could make it that easy to add a little name to the achievement, it wouldn’t be efficient.

‘Cus I suggest a TAB of it’s own where you can see character progress, almost similar to the story journal or the crafting ‘journal’. ‘Cus it’s supposed to be that no? Something to keep track of.
Profession process on the left side so you can keep track on how many you got and what skill level it is.

Actually, can we get a PROPER journal? Not just with living story or personal story, but a profession journal, dungeon journal, character overal journal. HECK even some TIPS journal when it comes to crafting the awkwardly complicated bullkitten items that require stuff I’ve never actually seen or heard of.

CAN’T there actually be a personal story quests where you get INTRODUCED into crafting your first own ascended item?
Like often when people roll in like a buffalo herd around new content patch, a little letter decide to come flying by the wind and smack you blind, and a little NPC you probably never heard of say something like:
‘’Lol I heard you were weak as a twig and can’t even swat a fly, but let’s fix your kitten up and send you battling Mordremoth’s minions, maybe that will help you gain some sort of dignity. kitten lol.’’
And you will be sent you across a field of flowers and hot sun and lovely rainbows and unicorns~ for you to get your ascended item and perhaps understand for once what the kitten you are doing in the game. ’Cus honestly. I HAVE NO kittenING CLUE!

Every time there has been new content to the game, and I get rewarded with example Geodes, and it says it’s a ‘Trophy’ item. What is a ‘trophy’ item…? For..? I got no clue, but it’s clear it’s not trash, but I got no clue what it is for, so I hold onto it with NO explanation of what to kittenING DO WITH IT!
Of course there is a wiki I can go to, but is THAT really the point? Is THAT the point of playing a game?? Why does the Wiki’s have to be the BIG last resort for every kittening player in every game ‘cus they couldn’t figure what to do with it themselves? Why can’t the game creators make a kitten KNOW-IT-ALL NPC that at least give you a hint of what to do with said item, instead of you having to go onto a wiki, or do what I do, I hold onto it and see where it might come in handy eventually, ‘cus that is how I play games.
Alot of games is like a kitten Mathematics book. The game itself being the different math challenges and calculations, and the wiki is like the correct answers pages.
I personally don’t find those that at least ‘figure’ there being a direct answers page to be ‘good’ at something.
‘’Yeah I found the answers.’’
‘’And..?’’
‘’It got me to make this cool armor!’’
‘’So there is this massive complex crafting system that actually serve no purpose but wasting peoples time, ’cus people can simply look it up on the wiki and poof bam you know everything..?’’

Is this in favor of both those that play GW2 and the creation of GW2 itself..? Aside from those that feel some sort of challenge by farming the ridiculous achievements that I, again, have NO kittening clue is all about and what purpose it provide (specifikly the collections section), but I am not gonna judge those that like doing achievements, so go ahead, do it.

On another note:
The kitten gear drops.
First, I don’t MIND there being drops in general, it’s just the kitten QUANTITY of it.
Of course I am fully aware that the quantity of drops is only for trolling players to buy buy buy and expand expand expand their kitten inventory and bank space to remain kitten poor to be able to keep it manageable, but if that wasn’t enough, it is again, but a waste of peoples time, though I foremost speak for myself ’cus this is based on my preferences and not someone elses unless that someone would roll in and agree.

I don’t think that GW2 was 60% of my gametime being about sorting my kitten inventory to try and salvage the gear I’ve spent most of the day on farming from world bosses or dungeons to try and get said items for the stupidly complicated crafting system for me to eventually get an ascended gear that I honestly had to clue on how to gain in the first place other than trying to keep my eyes open, but that craft being delayed ‘cus of the kitten dc issue and getting shoved into another shard so 30% of the loot I was supposed to get from said world bosses go to waste ’cus.. ’’oops, I wasn’t there when the boss died.. EVEN IF I WAS THERE FOR 30 MINS!‘’
But apparently there is a ’fix’ for this by joining a party, so if you dc’ it’s just to ‘join’ back into the shard, which by my opinion was a pretty stupid ‘fix’.

I got an example for potential fix of an issue like that. Let a player that has been offline for more than five minutes, get sent over to another shard. FIVE MINUTES!
Software issue, hardware issue, connection issue, WHATEVER, five minutes should be enough for a person to still be in the shard that the player started off in. Five minutes is just enough to reboot and start the game and rig-up other potential stuff that whoever use to enhance their gaming experience.
Players can INTENTIONALLY leave the zone to make room for someone else to take their slot if there is a world event going on.

Last thing.
Please let the beginner stuff stick to ‘beginners’ accounts, and not those that were around since launch. Thank you!
A little annoying Navi that says ‘’hey listen’’ through lvl 1-80 shouldn’t have been too shabby the first time I got through this game but hey.. keep it to the beginners..

(What I am telling is through the times I do NOT know what the stuff is until waaaaaay later, so do not assume that I actually ‘still’ don’t know what some things are.)

My main has 4 crafts, the others are spread out among my other alts. I never switched any of my crafts, so I am in no way confused about who has what.

I enjoy the amount of loot I receive, I farmed the entire weekend saving every bag/box. Had over 400 by Sunday night, I was able to go through all the loot with salvaging in under 10 minutes.

Also if you are trying to make a suggestion, rants are not the way for it to be handled. Just seems like a childish not needed post.

even kids can outsmart you tho
edit: haha i didn’t read but i agree there is things to be fixed in the game.
for example: more organization/customisation for crafting and skills if possible.

Yeah I also agree about the journal thing. Character progress should be seen on the character login screen, if that’s too much of a bother then at least in game journal that tells you stuff like where you are with what profession, which dungeon paths you did with that one or story and so on.

And I totally agree with the amount of items that keep clogging the inventory/bank slots. Yes I’m a hoarder, yes I like to collect limited stuff, or things that will remind me later about some previous patches that I enjoyed (I still keep the Polla doll, cause of reasons).
Made a thread about this but I’ll mention it again. Endless tonics. They were a rare thing to appear before Season 2, now two of those come out per patch. I can’t keep all of those on my main character cause there are so many. A tab for them would be excellent, like a tab for mini pets/finishers.

And don’t get me started on Geodes/Bandit Crests and other currencies that should go to the account wallet cause they are… currencies. Carrying around several thousand of those for whatever reasons is really a bother. We had this problem before with Dungeon Tokens and then you made the wallet. Expand on the wallet please.

I would be swarmed with stuff if I didn’t buy several of those Storage Expanders, sadly they don’t work for inventory, only deposit.

And for the OPs problem with two active professions, maybe this can help a bit http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Additional_Crafting_License

100% agree about the crafting issue with who has what.

as for inventory space and being “poor” that’s just lack of understanding how to make money.
You can just do 3-4 dungeon paths a day and farm a few world bosses and that’s 5-6 g a day just for minimal effort. and if u don’t spend money on useless stuff it only takes u a few days of minimal effort and time to get gold

anyway instead of shouting and ranting on the forums on what needs to be changed from your PoV. how about asking yourself this

1. what can I do to be better

2. what can I do to make the time I play gw2 be efficient as possible with the amount of time I can play it

3. what tips and tricks are there for general game awesomeness

its easy to blame others. its hard to come to terms that perhaps the issue is you and not the game / class you play.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve managed to hold onto an amount of between 100-200g, and trust me, I don’t exactly go for unecessary stuff. Example the mini’s, useless, but they are as well an achievement hunting thing, so I don’t go for such, but whoever does it, go ahead, it’s your thing apparently.
And I am fully aware that I can easily go through a few dungeons (or all dungeons) to grind up a few coins, but the thing is, I don’t want to anymore.
It’s just a backhand after the other so I get less urge to do one thing after the other so I am possibly just getting angry at that I get less and less rewarded for my own effort that I do question its value of (to each their own in this aspect).
I’ve also taken on comissions from friends to cough up a few nice pictures to get myself a bit of coin, which has felt good when those moments have been available, but comissions are closed as of now.

For me to answer your questions in some way.
1. What can I do to get better?
Practicly, I am as good as I want to be. I’ve confirmed this to myself that I am not a hardcore player, but neither a casual player, I am something in between. It’s just gotten to the point where I just try find the little golden edges of the game that want me to stay, but maybe I am fooling myself, or just need a big break (again…)

2. I got all the time in the world to pick what I wanna do and not, it’s more or less become a habbit of going for GW2 ‘cus my friends do, my issue being that I overwork myself, ’cus as said, not hardcore, but not casual. (I didn’t get over 8k achievement points for doing nothing unno..)

3. Tips and tricks?
Not sure how to answer that exactly. I am not exactly a theory crafter, ’cus whenever I try, someone run me over without me getting to open my mouth even.

And besides, they say when life bites you in the rear, bite back. Which is practicly why I did this post to begin with.
’Don’t complain this, don’t complain that.’
I am sure that there is alot of people out there that LOVE this game and how it works, good for you. Then it seems the game was ‘magicly’ designed to fit just YOU. You’ve taken it to the max, and you love doing it, good, keep doing it if you love it.
Should that mean I should not open my mouth to say what I think should be improved so my little ‘like’ bar can flip over to a ‘like more’?

Maybe you should have asked me the question: ‘Why do you play the game?’

Here is why:
I like the music, I like the characteristics of npc’s and the humour, I like the story, I like the mini games, I like the boss-fights and the events, I like the designs, the concepts, the locations, the setups, the cultures the character features and options. And probably like many others, I like challenges. But why is it so that these challenges provided, are too big (for me)? For someone to improve, there need to be a challenge with an accurate difficulty.
They say, learn to crawl before you walk, and learn to walk before you run, and learn to run before you jump.

I am a person that doesn’t exactly pay attention to anything, but there are some things, but should I be excluded the chance of becoming better than myself?
I KNOW how to improve, but there is a lack of tools that fit my technique.

Thanks in general however, I didn’t expect to see quite the positive comments I have.
Have had multiple rough days so one could say I shattered which made me make this thread.
