Hey, it’s a gift. I’d be happy if I receive Unidentifiable Object x1.

I prefer to not expect gifts. That said I did create a character of every class right after launch just in case : )

Really not expecting much. Probably a new mini, and birthday booster.

Actually, for 4 of my chars today is their birthday. ^^
I made them at 11pm (my time) when the servers opened up for the first time August 24th 2012.

The game was officially supposed to start August 25, but they actually opened up the servers at 9pm Pacific Time on August 24th.

However, iirc they didn’t get the birthday present until August 25th. Unlike Guild Wars 1 where they appeared in your inventory, mailing them out means they don’t get to your char when the birthday actually rolls around.

birthday booster, mini (specific), lv 60 scroll.

what i’d love: random endless combat useable tonics like the 6th year present from GW1
i miss playing as a dragon!

i thought wed get festivities, like the queens jubilee again, or sab… oh well back to the toils of every day tyrian adventuring

Yeah ANet please don’t give us another account-bound minipet that cannot be thrown in the forge. I have 5-mini Jenna’s that I would like to put 4 of them into the forge… but nope, I can either keep 5 of them or delete 4 of them… Bit annoying.

I’m sure we’ll get a birthday booster again. The only minis I collect are the ones related to the story lines. There are no minis for Brahame or Rox yet, so those would be cool. Either way I’m not too fussed with it.

There’s a Birthday Vendor NPC in Lion’s Arch. I suspect characters having a “birthday” will be getting some sort of claim ticket for the item of their choosing. Possibly also the release of a 2nd Title to go with the 1-year “Loyal” title (Dedicated? Devoted? Dependable? Steadfast?)

And with the “break” in the Living Story, I further imagine a couple weeks of some minor festivities so ALL players can celebrate, not just those having birthdays. (Special drops, mini quests, etc.)

Will we get them server time or local time?

I didnt see this birthday vendor… but I would like a lvl 80 scroll. would make my life better

Go see the vendor, you get a title. “Loyal” for one year in, and another for two years. I saw a That_Shaman datamine of the titles, and they seem to cover 7 years worth, but I didn’t pay attention to the details.

“Loyal” is in game now if you visit the vendor in the lion fountain plaza in LA on an alt at least 1 year old. She’ll have some more goodies soon, I believe, but I won’t spoil what they are from the datamine I saw

I am looking forward to gifts tomorrow and hopefully a “Second Year” Loyal title to go along with the “Loyal” title for year 1. Thanks ArenaNet!

I would like to see a random mini be given out, except I would like to see it handled differently than GW1. In Gw1 there were different rarities so you felt jipped if you got a common one. Make random minis all gold rarity. The simple act of making the font the same color will reduce whining.

I personally make sure I have my mini summoned at all times. XD

Each of my chars has a mini and I have mine out.

They don’t stand out like they did in Guild Wars 1. In that game they moved around. This movement made them stand out from the background and caught the eye. Guild Wars 2’s mini don’t wander around. A couple have animations, such as the dancing spider, that make them conspicuous but otherwise they stand there. This lack of movement means most people aren’t going to see a mini unless it’s running after the char.

Yea and some minis are just so small! My favorite is the mini raven but my god, even I have to look very very closely in order to see it I wish it’s constantly flying instead

If minis were bigger and had better animations like in the original Guild Wars, I’d be all for random birthday minis like they had.

That’s why I’m hoping for a mini mystical dragon.. Might be a decent alternative to kuunavang.

I thought that the game started at 9pm pacfic, not eastern. I was in Pre-Searing ascalon on one machine, spammering away at the login button for GW2 on my other one.

If this is all I’m gonna cry I want an experience scroll so bad.

level 80 scroll is reasonable for loyal Tyrians.

Level 80 scrolls would be amazing, but I’ll take what I can get, even if that may be anothre level 20 scroll.

I have two characters I would like to, if they didn’t seem to unsummon themselves every other minute. Keeping them out is a giant freaking hassle.
