with the patch it will be to easy to get the (Wings of Dwayna) bow skin tnx to pvp, while it does take some work in pve, really tnx….. (not)

plzz fix the pvp recipe or something

This is just how it is going to be. They cannot go back and re-evaluate the whole market because of every change, just like with ascended armor and weapons.

Some skins are easy to obtain in pve, some are easy to obtain in pvp. Both still require work to be had in order to have obtained them.

Plus, only those who played before glory and the chests were removed would likely have it. Making the pve one still the only current way to get the skin at this time.

There are many skins that were easy to obtain through PvE but were difficult to get in PvP.
It’s not even like the recipe for the bow is guaranteed from the forge. You still need to make some attempts.

I just don’t understand what Anet is trying to do there.

Same goes for firebringer and infinite light. But unless you are rank 70 you need a lot of luck to get runic blade (infinite light) in pvp (only a chance to salvage token from 40k glory t2 cultural armor and if you get the token you have to gamble it in mf to try and get runic blade). Firebringer is really easy as long as you’re rank 40.

Nothing can really be done now though.

It was easy for me to get Wings of Dwayna in pvp in an odd way. I made attempt after attempt in the forge but could not get one to pop out. Then after trying too hard and failing, I win a tourney match right after and sure enough it pops out of the box. The version in PvE is alot harder to obtain (if you dont have the money and farmed for it).

Easy or not, it is a nice bow to have, especially if you have it on your back with the Light of Dwayna ascended back piece (That back piece was a pain in the kitten due to time gating plus not having enough money to buy the Bolts of Damask straight up)

Everyone? I got a lot of AP chests yet out of PvP skins I got very few that are worth anything. A lot just look like PVE whites. Not to mention new players won’t be able to acquire it and only very few select old ones will have gotten it trough PvP.

I paid 550 gold for ’The Hunter’ strictly for its skin. The ’Dwarven Plated Sniper Rifle’ which is very common in sPvP shares the same skin. Am I upset that I paid 550 gold for a look many others will now get for free? Absolutely not.

How other people play their game does not affect me. I am still happy with the way my character looks.

I have no idea when or how I got my wings of dwayna longbow skin, but at least I will have a pretty nice looking skin if I ever want to use one =p

look if the bow was like rank related i coudnt care less, but its to easy to get this skin @ even rank 1 with some luck, while pve’er had to work for it..

I have around 12k AP and I don’t have any uniqe weapon.
Though I used up all my glory to buy Light, Medium and Heavy Arah set since that is the hardest dungeon for me to collect tokens.

Anyway I think it is childish to to be jelous of this becouse all who bought or crafted your stuff has it now and the others don’t. Also it is far from everyone who will get this weapon and sure if you wanna wait and take your chances if you get it from AP do so or if you wanna buy it now you do that, I am pretty sure the price wont go down.

HAHAHA I almost put down 300g for the Dwayna longbow. Now I’m getting the skin for free \o/

But yeah, that totally sucks for the guys that paid for it in PvE :/

Oh come on, it’s not they are going to change anything because you don’t like it. You did all the effort to get it while now it will become very easy, you just going to have to deal with it, they won’t change it.

People made 2 legendary daggers, while on 15th they can make 1 skin the second. Should we do something about that aswell?

You can’t make everybody happy with each patch, there will always people who are “disadvantaged?” by each patch. I do understand you, but they won’t change it.

Well now is good time start to use some real weapons. Cool looking longbow is still just stupid longbow.

Actually pretty much everyone will be rank 70 after the patch. Everyone above rank 35 currently will be promoted up. Also they are vastly lowering the requirements, it will take about a month of casual PvP to get to rank 70 now.

And pvp materials will disappear with the patch and you won’t be able to craft anything anymore so the rank increase doesn’t mean anything.

I think that items in the PVP locker that will transfer over to PVE will be just skins, they will go in the Wardrobe and have no stats to them and won’t be sold (to get a skin in the wardrobe you MUST bind the item).

Also, since you won’t be able to get these items through pvp AFTER the patch (pvp mats / recipies will be removed) it’s only the few items that will be created until the patch that will allow those people not to buy the items. Since they are account bound, they can’t be sold, supply will be the exact same and demand will be slightly less, it won’t be such a big deal.

You got to have it before any of the pvpers and you paid a royalty for that. Stop complaining.

Think of all the pvpers that were never rewarded much (or anything at all) for playing pvp for almost 2 years. Now their effort will have some worth thanks to the wardrobe system.

It is, but unlocking the PVE equivalents can/will unlock the PVP ones.

Now I’m more confused. I thought OP was mad that PvP rewards are going to make it easy to get the bow in PvE.

Can someone please please help me. So as everyone knows, the patch hits in few days. I have all ingredients to make this bow except “Longbow token”. I salvaged my 3 LB skins i had, but alas, no token. I dont have enough glory either for it. Whats the best/fastest way to farm PvP LB skins so I can salvage them and hope for a LB token. Or whats the best way to get the LB token. I dont spvp that often. Yesterday I did daily and it gave me luck and coin so no items there :c

There is no way to farm them now. The only thing that pays out skins now is the achievement chests, which are too few and far apart to actually farm. At this point, unfortunately, the ship has sailed.

ah ok well thats sad but i also read that you can put 4 pvp bags into the forge, and it gives a RNG weapon token. whats the diff between pvp and pve bags, because i cant get any pvp bags with glory since i have none. so can i gamble with 8 slot pve bags or something? i really need that longbow token meh

This skin will probably be the only skin I will use in PvE that I got in sPvP.

Do you like how it looks on your character? Yes? Good. Who cares if someone else has it too? How, exactly, does someone else enjoying the look of an item ruin your enjoyment of the same item?

Don’t worry…you’re still “special” even if someone else is wearing the same dress at the party.

It will make it easy for someone to apply the same look to any other Bow. They will NOT easily get the Ascended Exotic weapon from the forge.

I think the OP is just upset that someone will actually have a bow that looks like hers AND have useful stats….bummer.

Don’t worry, they’re adding a lot more hard to get weapons.

Personally, I’m rather annoyed about the Wings of Dwayna and Feathers of Dwayna skin being easy to get in pvp so now it’s easy to get in pve.

I farmed and crafted for both and it took me 2 months each. 100 charges lodes each. 500 ac tokens each and all the orichalcum needed. The process was nowhere near similer to obtain it in pvp as it was in pve and it’s really frustrating.

Still confused as to why people are saying it’s easier to get this skin now. Pardon my ignorance, but why is it easier after the April 15 patch? I know it takes a ton of Charged Lodestones in PVE. It isn’t required in PVP? How do the recipes compare?

To be honest, Wings of Dwayna LB skin is ugly as kitten. I mean, even Krytan skin looks better.

I had the Wings of Dwayna bow skin unlocked before the Apr 15th patch (from a chest or something). When I go to the bank to look at the wardrobe, I see it unlocked as well as the other PvP skins that I had unlocked, but when I try to use the skin through the Hero panel, the Wings of Dwayna bow skin along with the other items that were unlocked in PvP do not show up. Am I missing something?

I thought skins from PvP could now be used in PvE, or did I read something wrong? I’m excited to use the longbow skin since it was too expensive/grind for me through the PvE method, but now it doesn’t show up when it comes time to transmute.

You need to visit the Heart of the Mists at least once for the PvP locker to convert over to the wardrobe.

Are you sure you have the right kind of bow selected?

As best i can tell you have one shortbow and one longbow equipped, with the currently active weapon being the shortbow. As such, it will show shortbow skins.

Notice how the bow in the second weapon set is sporting the same icon as the one in the top right of the longbow skins collection.

Also you could craft it. I did that. Had a little glory for longbow tokens and salvaged duplicate pvp gear for the materials.

Reading this post I was expecting some boss looking bow. Honestly unless I am missing some animations shot I wouldn’t worry about people rushing out for it. There have been plenty of cool new bow skins and personally I wouldn’t let my ranger wear that feather duster.
