So…….everybody farming those 2 bosses at Mad King’s lab and they dropped a lot of excotics for everybody :O
It’s like 3 bosses – 2 excotics least.
I think maybe their drop rate is a bit funny, especially with the small respawn time.

So now everybody will become rich in golds, selling – salvaging , etc-ing them?
IT’s just feels a bit economy breaking.

What’s economy breaking about it? The normal people need stuff like this to even out the price gouging of the people that manipulate the auction house 24/7.

If this is the case, ectos are going to plummet in price for a while, I think.

Did 3 champions, got no exotics. Would like to get 2 from each, though. Sheesh.

I got 10 exotics in one hour. Pretty nice.

I’ve done the chest events 4 times so far and never gotten but greens at best, not saying there isn’t a higher chance for exotics but everyone definitely are not getting one every event.

Yep its not 100%, but I also got two exotics twice.

Where is the lab?

The Lab is marked by pumpkin icons on your map… Queensdale and such (read the mail you got in game).

Mad king world = lab?

You can get into the lab by talking to the NPC on the stone slab after you enter the mad king’s realm.

with lab they mean labyrinth.

and the chests drop the mad king armor pieces (lvl 80 exotics, bound on use, pow/con dmg / mf) or random lvl 74-78 exotics.
All random of course and requires luck but droprate seems decent.

I got exotics each time i did it. Some reason, i’ve always had better luck without any mf boost or gear for finds. so i was surprised when mf decked out people didn’t have any exotics lol

as great as this is, i do agree that it might be economy breaking. cuz ull have people farming and farming and there will be a huge abundance of exotics and ectos and stuff. i would hope that this phase would not continue for too long. like with next act u can’t get the same drop rates from normal mobs like that but ud have to strive for the bigger goals for Act 3

4 exotics and a scythe skin in 1 hour. They respawn so fast and you can switch between regular/overflow server with no problem to keep farming them non-stop.

I got one of the exotic staff that would normally cost 200G to make from one of those chest. Seeing how there is only 4-5 on broker, either people are waiting to sell or keeping them away from TP.

why do people always think people say things out of selfishness? LOL i only got three exotics cuz i only did three boss events. i’m thinking for the overall consideration of all players bc exotics will no longer be worth much at all, nor be so “exotic” if there is too much.

EVERYONE suffers bc those who can’t use the items they found can’t sell it or salvage for some good income. those with exotics won’t feel special anymore if there is too much. but it hasn’t gotten to that point yet. i’m thinking forward. but i dont think two days of this will be bad.

First time im having a lot of fun during the event, getting drops like this makes it SO much more enjoyable.

So far Anet is becoming a company that is all about the zero day exploits. What they will probably do is change the event soon so that you only get whites from it, and call it o.k.. I think this halloween event is making me really dislike them.

Im lvl 39 no exotics. Does lvl matter??

I’m lvl 80. Did 7 champs, opened 7 chests. 0 exotics.
Doesn’t matter full MF set or no MF set. Drop is always the same – crappy greens.
Very nice, ANet. Some get exotic every time and some get nothing.

After killing each boss 6+ times, I had 1 exotic. The majority of the people who were farming with me were getting similar results. Can I borrow the rabbit’s foot some of you are carrying?

Well I do believe that they patched it… there was a patch shortly after Act 2 opened up and they probably fixed it up via that patch… Now just a bunch of greens and stuff.

Since 8pm est (daily resets) the champ skell stopped dropping a chest. This seems more reasonable, to be honest. Will check what the 9pm build did to it, if anything.

If you run into diminishing return system the events dont give a chest anymore. So dont just camp the event and do something different after 2-3 chests.

So unless you got in early you’re screwed? Sounds par for the course.

post – 9pm build, the skell in overflow spawned a chest again … but with a moldy bag and 3 plastic fangs

i’m guessing that maybe the loot table on the chests was wrong to begin with.

Yeah just got absolute crap from the chest. Wish I didn’t have to work earlier so I could have been rewarded instead of kittenon.

I got nothing because they disabled it.

I just got an exotic hammer out of the chest post patch, so exotics still drop even with 2 instead of 4 items.

which mini game are you playing?

They also buffed some enemies and nerfed drops. The archer skele door was nothing but KD spam and Barrages. It was not fun at all lol, they didn’t do that before.
