I play Ranger and was looking forward to seeing the reveal but to be perfectly honest this made me start laughing, I seriously hope they plan on a double reveal.

I’m more afraid that it will come in a “future content patch” like the rest of the legendaries… or the guild hall features… or the armor sets… or precursor crafting.

I don’t actually play a ranger so it doesn’t directly effect me… but if it can happen to them it can happen to anyone…

This forum greatly amuses me sometimes. Just because the pol was cancelled people decided the druid got shaft, and they already are sharpening their pitchforks, ready to riot infront of Anet HQ.

That was my thought, that they want to revamp the format and so something new with a new name will take its place. It’s still a very startling tweet that I hope they’ll explain either by more tweeting or in this thread, or at the very least at the start of the show today.

That has been known for a while now.
Same as the other specs, you get them by spending hero points. The only difference is that elite specs can only be put in the third slot, which unlocks at lvl 71.

So we won’t be getting to see the Druid in action until BWE3 itself? Or is it possible that there isn’t a basic version of the Druid ready to show yet? Just over a month to the expansion – it’s a little bit worrying.

Druids can shape-shifting hype. I don’t plan on playing a Ranger but I’m keeping my eyes open hoping they do well with it it was the first elite spec revealed so it probably has the longest design time.

Guys. I know you’re angry. You have right to be. Many rangers have sat in silent patience for quite a while. It’s understandable to be a little outraged. Arena Net may not be great at giving you what you want, but remember that this is their game. They obviously see ranger as a selling point. Why would they treat it differently from the other professions? Come TwitchCon we shall see if the wait was worth it. Please reserve judgement until then.

With Anet’s track record with rangers this is completely my belief. Gaile I want to trust you, but my distrust of the attitude for rangers we’ve seen makes me doubt this. When saying the ranger is not good is as prevalent a joke as moose abuse in livestreams. When one of the more vocal devs champions bearbow, the build that basically ruined the ranger community, on these livestreams. When an article offering some legitimate criticisms about this attitude and some possible ways to address it comes out and is taken down and not by the writer’s choice. I think it is completely justified to still be a little concerned and take this statement with a grain of salt.

They might be just changing the name and format. I remember Rubi mentioned, in a twitch chat, that she was planning a legendary weapon PoI and we haven’t seen that yet. I find the show very informative and kinda gets the message of gw2 out there via twitch, so the name change is my best bet.

I’m reminded of one of their longer twitch streams a while back about some upcoming trait rework… they just breezed over rangers in an awkward way like they didn’t even want to bother. They’re a business and of course they don’t actually hate rangers or anything.. but the quote above does kind of hit the nail on the head.
