Enemy archer output damage
Both have a dot damage that hits for insane damage and if you stand in there poison for frog and sniper root trail you will die fast no matter your toughness it eats through hp that fast. So remember to dodge role out of there stuff when they hit.
That’s not the problem, though. Poison and tracks are avoided, it’s the direct damage from projectiles that I can’t figure out. And the archers seem to have a high attack speed as well, getting of on average 2 projectiles per 1.5 seconds.
From what I’ve gathered on theory crafting, my stats come out as “tanky”, and most enemies confirm that. But I’ve yet to figure out the archers. It just baffels me how much damage they dish out. And it seems to be that way for others too, judging by the dead ones when we’re fighting archers in a group.
Dodges, defensive CDs and CC are the best counter. They are pretty squishy so just incapacitate and roll over them.
Yah, I believe there might be something up with the damage output from the Itzel archers as well.
I run a heavy Beastmastery / defensive build on my Ranger, which means most pets (other than the glass cannon ones like cats) are immensely tanky and can usually take multiple shots from just about anything besides obvious high-damage AoE fields. But those frog archers can devastate even my tankiest pets with no trouble whatsoever. Even the basic ones, not even elites or anything.
And its not the AoE field either. My pet actually CAN tank the AoE field just fine. Its one of their other attacks. I want to say its the one where they jump and fire arrows, but I’m not 100% sure on that, I just know its one of the more basic looking attacks and not the poison field.
Maybe its intentional to promote dodges or such, but I’m not too keen on attacks that (seemingly) ignore any and all defensive stats, certainly not from basic mobs. And if it is intentional, I think there needs to be a more obvious tell that its such a powerful attack, which isn’t the case with the Itzel.
The Mordrem Snipers at least have a huge obvious fire trail and the targeting reticule on your character prior to the shot, so I’m not too bothered by those. But the Itzel… I dunno.
The champ frogs are a nightmare..
The damage they dish out is crazy. To me it seems all these frogs are hitting like if they were scaled by 50+ players in the area.
Reflects tear them to bits, though.
Correct that is why I love my tempest with 3 reflect auras.

The shadowleapers hit for an insane amount of damage when coming out of stealth. I don’t mind this too much; it’s annoying, but as long as you pay attention you can definitely avoid it. What I really, really, REALLY don’t like is the passive chance that ranged attacks will automatically miss them. There is absolutely no reason for this. Please get rid of it.

Is it passive? I haven’t been missing attacks on them except when they do their evade moves. It must be extremely low if it’s just straight up passive.
I would rather fight a Champ frog sniper than a Veteran Smokescale, the NPC’s and noobs zerg them and keep them inside their immunity while you have to sit there and wait til it kills all of them before you can begin kiting it.
