I was under the impression we were able to buy the expansion and then upgrade to the deluxe version with gems. Is this not the case or did they take this out?? =\

I was able to do this.

Make sure you are buying the standard edition (the cheapest one) and applying the code to your account. Then re-log or log back in, and check the upgrade section of the trading post to see if the deluxe upgrade is available for you. It will only appear if you have the base expansion code applied to your account.

the HoT upgrade option is still in the game for gems. it’s in the upgrades tab (you have to scroll down some in the tab, but it is there)
