What other interview? and yes I am sure. thanks for personally stalking my posts all over those interwebs though.

Yeah, like I said in page 2 of this thread, I can’t find what you’re talking about. Can you copy and paste the part you saw?

I’m thinking you misread what the interviewer said as a dev comment.

ok. you know how big wigs sometimes beat around the bush? Big developers of a AAA game do it too.

I can see nothing in there that Mike or Colin say that pertains to what you said. :|

Perhaps you should take a step back and calm down, instead of trying to see something negative in every little thing?

PCG: This expansion is unusual in that the lead-up has been almost two years in the making. Do you think it’s going to be hard to balance the needs of players who’ve played all Living World episodes, returning players who have maybe only completed the main story, and any new players coming to the game for the first time? A lot has happened.

Mike: Well definitely a lot’s happened. One great thing about Living World: Season Two is that anyone can play Living World: Season Two. Even down the road people can play Season Two. Certainly, right now, I recommend that anybody who’s excited about Heart of Thorns should get into the game and play episode eight. Episode eight weaves right into the story of Heart of Thorns. Anybody who wants to set up for themselves what the story of Heart of Thorns is, play it now.

There it is… Season 1 and 2 was a set up to Heart of Thorns. Meaning no more Living Story and the current story is being wrapped up in Heart of Thorns.

Except for the fact that doesn’t mean they won’t start on a new storyline, which they have said they will probably do to lead up to new expansions in other interviews. You know there’s four other dragons, right?

One can only hope they do start a new Living Story after HoT and then they can put the ending in another expansion.

You need to read up on my comments, I asked you to copy and paste the quote that you interpreted as “HoT will conclude the Mordermoth story” as I DID read the entire interview 3 times and the only thing that ever comes close to what you said is the comment I mentioned that came from the INTERVIEWER.

“Continued” and “wrapped up” are two different things. Chapter Eight is the “set up” for what starts in HoT. Nothing says the story can’t veer off to other foci from that starting point, and plant the seeds for what comes further along the pike.

I don’t think Mike’s words mean what you think they mean.

To be honest, I’m disappointed. I did want a paid expansion, but I wanted a new continent — not Magus Falls. From what we can glean from Lore, all that’s out there is a Sylvari tree without the protection of the Dream, jungle creeps (god kitten Moss Scarabs still make me rage), and Mordrem. Nothing really interesting except the Druids this far out, which is kinda boring.

Cantha, the Far Shiverpeaks, The Great Northern Sea, Elona, The Unending Ocean, The Ring of Fire, the Battle Isles, and the other numerous continents we have.

To be honest, I was wanting a faster resolution to the Elder Dragons, as the more interesting locales in this setting are abroad imo.

It’s so tough having gone 2.5 years without requiring to spend any money other than the original purchase price.

ANet makes us pay $60 for 2.5 years of gradual updates, additions and improvements.

That’s way more than the $100+ per year you would spend subscribed to WoW or other MMOs.

It’s so unfair that after giving us so much free additional content for so many months they now ask for a little extra money to keep the game alive. How greedy can they get?

If they have their way we may all have to pay almost $100 for 3-4 years of content.

$25 per year is WAY MORE than $100 per year spent on other MMOs. (believe me, I have a degree in Applied Fuzzy Math) So unfair!
