as for the poor folk who just don’t know english, are they not entitled to play? i’m sorry to say but no they’re not. we’re not in africa. we’re in europe, most people here have the opportunity to learn another language at all ages, and let’s be honest, english isn’t a hard language to learn. if they choose to kitten themselves, that’s their business. they should live with the consequences of their decisions. so yeah, enforcing an english only rule on the common channels is just fine. in fact it’s more than fine, it’s what needs to happen.

For someone accusing others of having problems with the English language and proclaiming that English is easy to learn; your punctuation, grammar, and spelling is atrocious. You might want to be more careful about how you present your argument next time.

Everything is translated to German. Even the TV has every single show with German voice-over…

Your 50% is probably more of a 20-30%, and that only to the big cities because of work..

Actually, this suggests that 56% of Germans have sufficient skills in English to hold conversations. Yes, that is lower than some other Northwest European countries but it is not as low as you make it sound.

Firstly, I think you’re referring to the other Fay. Secondly, I can barely understand what you said there. Maybe you should be the one separated from everyone else in your very own designated server for people whose English is partly unintelligible.

Everyone on that server will be unable to talk so that nobody can bother and offend you with their horrible foreign tongues. Sounds like a great solution to me, perhaps you did have a good point all along! That way the rest of us don’t have to put up with people like you who complain about being subjected to other languages in a multi-lingual world.

cause nobody else does that, i’m sure. it’s only the germans held prizoners from their evil german speaking Illuminati overlords who plan to keep them from accessing the english language. that elusive beast that other nations have conquered. it’s probably a global conspiracy to keep the germans out of the loop. that’s why we’re having so many supporters in here, asking for the germans to remain in the dark. they’re all pawns in the grand scheme to isolate germany.

Read some of the replies… First of all I don’t care at all how people in some country live. If they don’t wanna learn English, I couldn’t care less. They can communicate with smoke signals and whistles for all I care.

But when you wanna play an MMO, you can’t demand that they translate it to your native language.

There should not be a German or French version of the game in the first place. What, those 2 countries are too dumb to learn English like the rest of us? Why isn’t the game also translated in Italian, Spanish, Greek, etcetc…

Everyone who plays an MMO and casualy joins groups etc should at least know the basics of how to communicate in English. Otherwise you are a burden to the group even if you have a nobel price in Quantum Physics.

TLDR; Learn English like the rest of Europe who don’t have handicaps for everything.
