Dwarf elite skill can be canceled to get the break sunt without spending energy

Wyvern glitches in and out when he goes to fly off.
Intense smoke effects are a real concern for some gfx/pcs. Not sure if that’s solvable tbh

I’ll just keep editing this whenever I find something.
- Tendril Torching challenge interface disappears if disrupted by cinematics (when the vine appears and starts shooting poison from the mountainside). The challenge is still in effect, but I could not see the the information on time/how many tendrils I’ve burnt. Managed to recreate this three times in a row.
- No way to cancel the challenge once you’ve started. You need to wait for the timer to run out. Slightly inconvenient, though not a huge problem.
- The mastery orb on the rock is unable to be used without using a leap skill (like revenant hammer 3) while spamming the F key. Not sure if there is going to be some other way to get this in the non-demo version (ie. being able to glide from somewhere higher).

I did not have that issue so far.
In fact, graphic response pretty good so far. And I do have them turned up normally.
That said no huge groups yet – maybe 20 players at most

Tbh it’s probably fine on lower settings and certainly wont affect everyone- I play mid-low. It’s as much a heads up for either players to be warned about or for devs in terms of optimising. It has given me a massive headache though.
Those who experience fps issues in the dredge halls of FG or in Dry Top will have the same issues here in a more chaotic environment.
In large scale combat the revenant is going to excel over other classes by a huge margin.. It is going to replace every class and be the jack of all trades, and there will be little to no variety in classes. The revenant in all is completely broken and has no CD on switching the stances and the energy regen is literally stupid. I understand that the specializations that we will be able to use will balance out this class and make it less OP but in large scale combat revenant is going to do the job of guardian and a warrior. Swiftness Stacking, Damage Reduction, Heals, Stab Pulsation, and multiple other broken things. My other point I would like to address is the major fps lag im having in other maps besides the BETA verdant blink map. Im getting -30/40 fps on average and witnessing alot of stuttering and it has nothing to do with my top of the line hardware. In all this stress test has me hyped to see what ANET can bring to the table and build on for the future.
Can’t players submit issues within game?
It seems a little too unnecessary to post on forums…. Especially in a collective thread that people will then in the future use are reference to say “Hey there were so many bugs since beta that they haven’t fixed, look here”.
That seems….presumptuous.
Do you realize what you see now doesn’t represent how it will be on release and after? So its too early to judge!

People can only judge on what they have now. Anet wants feedback on what we see. We can’t give feedback on stuff that’s going to happen in the future, only on what’s available now.
Really? No CD on switching legends? And it resets your energy to 50 every time? Or does it scale down if you do it too quickly?
The only bug I got was during the Wyvern battle, my game crashed. It’s still in beta so i understand small problems like this occurring here.
Just my thoughts:
- Revenant is fun. I found myself using Dwarf form more then Demon in the wyvern battle and Demon form in the open field. Both seem to work well. The energy bar seems fair except Dwarf #9, felt is drained a little too quickly.
- I couldn’t seem the get the mushroom mastery to work on the mushrooms. Might be me not equipping it right but I thought I’d mention.
- Frame rate seemed fine on my end even with all the things going on in this small area.
I’m going to try thief later for the beta and see how that goes. So far I’m enjoying myself.
Ranger has only one pet slot. Ranger without pet is 60%?* of the class.

Its still being presumptuous for a demo build when things are tweaked just for a demo build versus what we will get.

Not sure if just not ready but beginning video has no sound.

It had sound for me.
Used demon form was also useful to switch too when others were using dwarf to make wyvern vulnerable.

Heh. I was just saying Druids might only have 1 pet…

That Scroll of Knowledge doesn’t seem to work. I didn’t get any Mastery point.
EDIT: It might be because in this demo we’re locked at 3 Mastery Points.

Its bs. In combat revenant has 10cd on legend swap. And if you playing him properly you will run out of energy pretty quick. I have looked at few streams and i have seen them on 100% energy pretty much the whole time cause they dont touch utility skills at all. This is now how revenant is supposed to be played
How did you get a scroll of knowlege?
(and we already knew that they wouldn’t act like a mastery point – the question was would they decided to let scrolls fill progress bars once you used a mastery point. Last we heard they were still thinking about which way to go.)

No CD on swap outside of combat. 9 second CD on swap in combat. Large scale combat… is combat and so any idea of crazy skill spam the OP has is wrong. Also damage reduction… you don’t spam that dwarf stance elite.
I’m really not seeing the OP side of things and I actually didn’t find the revenant that fun to play: too clunky. I hope the other weapons to come will fit my playstyle more

If anet didn’t want us to talk about stuff in the beta, then they shouldn’t’ve shown it to us. They did, and encouraged us to share our thoughts. I think it’s fair game to talk about the beta, and the revenant as they are now.

It seems to have a 10 second cd in between legend swaps, which might still be abuse-able. But we will have to wait and see how it pans out as most the content that people are demoing revenant in seems to be specifically catered to them. If it does end up being a problem elsewhere, maybe giving the “reset energy to 50” an internal cd. Or alter it the give more or less energy depending on time in between swap .

Did matter much during the wyvern event the pet was completely useless, the pet it too far from the target. No matter where you, max range away or inside its hitbox pet was too far away.

I’ve had frame-rate problems with even dry top/silverwastes & the beta but rest of the game runs pretty smoothly though, so I appear to have the same issues with anything new that involves anything to do with ANET’s participial engine.
Also had no voice sounds for some parts of the speech at the start.

I hope they thought that through….
I noticed that on a Revenant, weapon skill 2 “Searing Fissure” doesn’t have indicated Combo field: fire.

Client Crashes if you I use Revenant F1 skill in combination with spacebar during a fall, and manage to scrape a ledge.
If you do hit a ledge slightly you can actually use skills and the game crashes since it apparently can’t handle the character transforming and taking out the glider at the same time.

I was Taunted by a friendly player somehow. It was some Revenant using the Mallyx legend.

FPS gets shot down low from 60 to 20+ fps just walking around in the instance. There is alot going on even in that small instance, so I hope Anet, you guys would try to find a way to ensure fps are good to fully enjoy the new expansion.
The camera somehow makes your character (Revenant) change position (from facing your enemy to forcing you to face your back towards the enemy during the fight. It sometimes occur during Hammer skill #3

Only technical issue I had was that game crashed during the wyvern fight. Hardly any frame rate drops or freezing on my end.
I didn’t find much in the way of bugs. The mushroom thing turns out to need you to get a level “ding” while it’s your active mastery, or so people said. I hit F to jump and as the F key went down the demo ended. So maybe it would have worked?
At the start I tested the hammer 3 skill before straying too far from the biconics. Each time my character (male) screamed like he was falling. But when I did it later after some cinematics and events the scream was gone. I tried using it on a steep slope, still no scream. So I don’t know why it screamed at the start.
Possibly big issue: Deposit Materials worked. I don’t know how many Armored Scales I had before the demo, but I was able to deposit 4 of them. I am sure they were going to my bank because I could deposit all the mats I got except the mithril ore, which I have a capped stack of in the bank. I do not know if they actually went there. I’ll try to remember to take notes of my T6 mats amounts before the next demo, assuming I get to play it.
Either that’s a nice small perk for our time helping in the stress test or there’s going to be an inventory mess and possible account hiccups for doing something bad. (Though in the same 2 hours I guess I could have gained far more mats in a round of Silverwastes, so maybe it’s just considered a minor benefit to testers).
Possibly big issue: Deposit Materials worked.
I thought about that too, so i removed my t6 mats from my bank and tried to deposit from beta again. I think the bank dolyak got slapped by a thief along the way, cuz it wasnt there when i checked later.

I noticed my camera was moving oddly. It was changing slightly without my moving it and resetting when I used the revenant skills.
That gliding though…wow. That’s going to be way fun when the expansion launches.
Main? What “main”? I play all of them sooner or later.
I don’t know if intended or not but i could grab mastery points from a distance by using skill #3 on hammer and then pressing the interact button. Also you are able to interact with objects while in this “movement” skill.
Other bug i found is that i couldn’t apply any mastery points except for in the gliding line and the mushroom one which made it kind of strange.
And the other issue i found was big lag spikes at different moment but overall no disconnects or freezes, so big kudos for the very nice stress test
(edited by Ponuto.5340)
Ponuto, someone told me to try that but it never worked for the mastery point atop the spire of rock. At least I don’t think it did, there was no popup though the channeling bar looked like it got at least almost complete.
Other bug i found is that i couldn’t apply any mastery points except for in the gliding line and the mushroom one which made it kind of strange.
Not a bug. It specifically said when you hovered over them that they’re “not available for the demo” (or something along those lines).
Didn’t encounter any problems in terms of lag or fps drop. Ran really smoothly considering all the events going on and helicopters falling out of the sky.
The button to select masteries is far too obscure. There should be a tab in the character panel perhaps? Maybe even move the WvW WXP ranks there as well.
revenant mace #3:
this skill acts as a leap (not as combo finisher but in the way it is executed) similar to heartseeker and burning speed.
by turning your camera above the character you can cut the leaping distance, but this skill is either just bugged or gets affected too much by the ground you stand on. it will turn you in a random direction mid-leap and you will not hit where you aimed for.
getting 6 might stacks out of your burning field is already tricky enough but this bug makes it more of a random thing..
a fix would be appreciated
Playing on an older MacBook the beta ran well with no real issues. Small frame rate drops but not anything too different from normal Guild Wars2. Took a bit to figure out what skills were working well. Attacking the large vines the damage values were hard to see at times due to all the movement. Flying I noticed the wing deployment was a little sporadic. Would be nice if I could deploy at a half second interval from first leap. Just a pet peeve not a bug. Wings remind me of the JC2 parasail.
A repair station might have been nice btw just a suggestion.
Loved the new class, very creative will need to spend some time in a beginner area practicing with the timing and attack chain. Looking forward to stress test #2 this evening.
You can get infinite stunbreakers without using energy by canceling the dwarf elite right after you started the cast.
Mace 3 can also go in a random direction depending on the terrain if you’re looking down just like Rocket Boots does half the time, makes it really awkward to use.
OH!!! In future plans I might suggest a tradition targeting reticle for the sniper rifle if in 1st person view. Would make using them on the perch a bit more fun. Not that they aren’t already.
And in the collector edition we would like Collector Edition dances like we had in GW1…….HINT HINT!!
When I jumped from a dangerous height, I could activate the glider just before hitting the ground; I would still hit the ground, but take no fall damage and slide several feet forward. Not sure if this is a bug but it seemed a bit odd and unintentional to me, and possibly something that can be exploited atm to fall long distances without any consequences.
